微量元素是土壤和牧草中含量极微少的化学元素，但它是生物地球化学食物链中的必需基本物质。随着草业生产力的发展，近年来有关微量元素的研究报告越来越多，研究范围亦越来越广，特别是硒、锌、铜等元素作了大量的研究工作，主实了微量元素在草地生产中的重大作用。
