| Abstract: | In some Italian provenances of Melampsora populnea on Populus tremula from mountain zones, the presence of Melampsora pinitorqua was tested through teliospore germinability tests and sub-sequent basidiospore inoculations. In this study the risk of twist rust epidemics in new planta-tions is discussed. |
