In ruminants, the ruminal epithelium not only has the function of absorbing nutrients but also is an important tissue to prevent harmful substances in the rumen from entering the blood circulation. Thus, the normal function of ruminal epithelium is critical for ruminants. However, subacute ruminal acidosis induced by high-concentrate diets often damages the barrier function of ruminal epithelium in ruminants. Recently, many studies have shown that dietary supplementation with thiamine is an effective method to alleviate subacute ruminal acidosis. In order to provide theoretical reference for the in-depth study of subacute ruminal acidosis and the application of thiamine in the future, this review introduces the effects of subacute ruminal acidosis on morphological structure, inflammatory response, and tight junction of ruminal epithelium. In addition, this paper summarizes the role of thiamine in maintaining ruminal epithelial function of ruminants during subacute ruminal acidosis challenge.  相似文献

Olfactory neuroblastoma (ONB) is a rare tumour of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses that arises from the olfactory neuroepithelium and has unpredictable clinical course. As the sense of smell is phylogenetically one of the first senses and olfactory neuroepithelium is evolutionary conserved with striking similarities among different species, we performed an extensive analysis of the literature in order to evaluate the similarities and differences between animals and humans on the clinical, morphological, immunohistochemical, ultrastructural and molecular level. Our analysis revealed that ONB was reported mainly in mammals and showed striking similarities to human ONB. These observations provide rationale for introduction of therapy modalities used in humans into the veterinary medicine. Animal models of neuroblastoma should be considered for the preclinical studies evaluating novel therapies for ONB.  相似文献

AIM: To demonstrate the susceptibility of cell apoptosis varies during the progress of cell malignant transformation from human being in vitro. METHODS: A SV40T-transfected human bronchial epithelial immortalized cell line (called M) was selected in this work, which has acquired some characteristics of malignant transformation at the later passage. The alterations of apoptosis and bcl-2, P53 genes between early and later passage of M cells were investigated by means of TDT labeling in situ, chromosome FISH, RNA and protein testing, etc. RESULTS: Incidence of apoptosis induced by cis-platin was significantly lower in later than in early passages of M. Levels of bcl-2 mRNA and protein in later passages were higher than early passages of M, and overexpression of bcl-2 was accumulated following the development of cellular malignancy. P53 protein level was as high in early as in later passages. CONCLUSION: Overexpression of bcl-2 decreases the cellular sensitivity to apoptotic inductors plays an important role during progress of carcinogenesis in human bronchial epithelial cancers. The inactivation of P53 protein in the SV40-T transfected M cell line may be one of reasons of bcl-2 overexpression, but not associated with the accumulation of bcl-2 expressed level during cell transformation.  相似文献

獭兔是一种典型的经济动物,它既是毛皮动物又可食用,普遍应用于人类生产生活。目前已有研究报道了多种哺乳动物生精周期研究,但很少有关于獭兔的报道。本实验对2只完全性成熟的健康獭兔进行睾丸结构,生精周期相对频率,支持细胞效率研究。獭兔睾丸经石蜡包埋,HE染色以便进行组织形态学观察。不同的生殖细胞组合分析显示30%的曲精小管显示两个或两个以上的生精上皮周期阶段。獭兔生精周期阶段频率(%)分别为:阶段1:(15.5±2);阶段2:(14.0±1);阶段3:(11.5±1);阶段4:(8.5±1);阶段5:(10.5±1);阶段6:(18.5±2);阶段7:(13.0±1);阶段8:(8.5±1)。支持细胞效率(圆形精子:支持细胞=7:1)。本研究结果表明獭兔的生精效率较其他哺乳动物高。  相似文献

Cryptosporidium is a clinically and economically important infection whose pathogenic effect begins with colonization of the intestinal epithelium. Despite intensive efforts, a consistently effective therapy for the infection has yet to be identified. Morbidity and mortality results from ongoing loss of absorptive epithelium, which leads to villous atrophy and malabsorption and release of inflammatory mediators that stimulate electrolyte secretion and diarrhea. With further clarification of the mechanisms underlying enterocyte malfunction in Cryptosporidium infection, it should be possible to design rational nutritional and pharmacologic therapies to enhance nutrient and water absorption, promote the clearance of infected enterocytes, and restore normal villus architecture and mucosal barrier function.  相似文献

应用透射电镜技术,对15只正常中华鳖小肠和大肠黏膜上皮细胞的超微结构进行了研究。结果表明,中华鳖小肠黏膜上皮为单层柱状上皮,以高柱状吸收细胞为主,具有发达的微绒毛、线粒体、粗面内质网和膜包小囊泡,其结构的发达程度已接近高等哺乳动物和鸟类。吸收细胞之间可见少量低电子密度的亮细胞,其种类需进一步确定。杯状细胞明显可见,胞质内含大量黏液性颗粒,细胞游离面形成明显的微绒毛。内分泌细胞很少。大肠黏膜上皮细胞排列松散,全部由上下粗细不均的柱状细胞组成。大肠上皮内未见专门的杯状细胞,但上皮细胞顶部胞质内含大量黏液颗粒,细胞器分布于黏液颗粒团之下的胞质中。细胞间隙宽大明显,有利于黏膜免疫细胞出入上皮。小肠和大肠均未见腺体分布。  相似文献

应用免疫组化技术并结合图像分析软件研究了胃泌素、β-内啡肽、胰高血糖素、5-羟色胺、生长押素在鸭腔上囊中的表达特征.结果显示鸭腔上囊小结相关上皮细胞呈胃泌素强阳性反应;滤泡间粘膜上皮呈β-内啡肽中强度阳性反应;淋巴滤泡皮质部有少量的β-内啡肽、胃泌素、5-羟色胺阳性细胞,呈中、强度免疫反应;淋巴滤泡髓质有胃泌素强阳性细胞;生长抑素和胰高血糖素均呈阴性反应.结果说明,鸭腔上囊中存在β-内啡肤、胃泌素、5-羟色胺弥散神经内分泌细胞,它们在淋巴滤泡皮质部的表达特征有利于其通过内分泌和旁分泌方式调节B细胞的发育.  相似文献

This study investigated the fate of glycerol entering the rumen, in particular whether glycerol could be absorbed across the rumen epithelium. Three non‐lactating rumen‐fistulated cows were used to calculate the overall disappearance rate of glycerol in vivo and evaluate the rate of ruminal glycerol absorption. Rumen epithelial tissues isolated from sheep were used to characterise glycerol transport properties. The rate of rumen microbial degradation of glycerol was then studied in an in vitro system under anaerobic and thermo‐regulated conditions. The results showed that glycerol can be absorbed from the rumen in significant amounts. The fractional rate of absorption of glycerol was not affected by variations in glycerol concentration in the buffer solution in the in vivo study. The glycerol absorption apparently occurred largely by passive diffusion and was probably not facilitated by carriers. Glycerol also disappeared via microbial digestion and outflow from the rumen through the omasal orifice.  相似文献
