TOTAL ANOMALOUS PULMONARY VENOUS CONNECTION IN A FOAL

An 8-day-old Arabian-Morgan cross colt underwent cardiac evaluation. The foal was tachycardic, tachypneic, exercise intolerant and had a loud right-sided heart murmur and cyanotic mucous membranes. Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection was diagnosed with echocardiography and confirmed at postmortem examination. Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection is a very rare congenital cardiac abnormality that has not been reported before in the horse.     

2016/2017冬中国气温偏暖的基本特征及可能成因

利用中国740余站观测的月平均2 m气温资料以及NCEP/NCAR再分析资料,通过动力学诊断的方法,对2016—2017年中国冬季异常偏暖现象进行了研究。结果发现：中国2016—2017年冬季气温偏暖主要是由于西伯利亚高压和阿留申低压偏弱导致东亚冬季风偏弱,在中国存在异常的偏南风。阿留申低压偏弱由两个因素引起,一是由于阿留申群岛地区的海温偏低,冷源对应异常高压导致阿留申低压偏弱;二是阿留申低压在东亚副热带高空西风急流出口区以北,然而该冬季高空西风急流出口区位置偏南,导致阿留申地区偏离急流出口减压区,从而导致阿留申低压偏弱。此外,西风带偏北,中高纬亚洲大陆上空以纬向环流为主,不利于冷空气南下。     

Surgical treatment of phimosis due to preputial stenosis in a Thoroughbred colt

A 6-month-old Thoroughbred colt was referred to Rossdales Equine Hospital with a recent history of discomfort and inability to protrude the penis whilst urinating, resulting in accumulation of urine within the prepuce. Careful examination and manual palpation revealed a constrictive ring of fibrous tissue at the level of the preputial orifice. With no evidence of trauma or a persistent penile frenulum, a tentative diagnosis of phimosis due to congenital preputial stenosis was made. Exploratory surgery confirmed the diagnosis and surgical transection and release of the fibromuscular ring at three sites allowed the colt to protrude the penis and urinate normally immediately post-operatively. At follow-up examination 11 months later, the colt continued to be able to extrude the penis and urinate conventionally. A slight excess of skin was present at the end of the prepuce but this was only of minor cosmetic concern.     

Automatic Measuring Method of Eyeglass Lens Power

A method of measuring eyeglass lens power is proposed. A position detector and 3 beams of ray are used to measure the prismatic, spherical and astigmatic powers. Based on the method, an automatic focimeter with simple structure can be developed. The measure errors of prismatic and spherical powers are analyzed, from which it is concluded that the precision of the position detector is the key to the method.     

薄膜样品的制作与均匀度测定

液滴法[1]是制作薄膜样品的最简单方法,本文介绍了使用该方法制作薄膜样品的具体步骤.由于样品在自然蒸发过程中具有结晶效应,使得最终形成的样品极不均匀.如果使用这种样品刻度系统的灵敏度曲线,样品的不均匀性会引起严重的实验误差.利用使用X光会聚透镜的XRF系统[2]形成的小束斑,可对样品的均匀度进行分析.另外文中给出了在使用此种样品刻度系统灵敏度曲线时,消除样品不均匀性引起误差的方法.     

钓鱼岛近海的涡旋及其与马面鲀渔场的关系

本文根据1981—1984年各年春季(4月),绿鳍马面鲀产卵场的调查资料及产量统计资料,通过水温、盐度、密度σ_t比容偏差10~((?)δ)和地转流等海况要素,对钓鱼岛近海的涡旋特征、强度、位置变化及结合渔况进行分析研究。初步认为钓鱼岛东北海区即黑潮及其分支处附近,存在一气旋型涡旋,涡旋边缘的北侧和西侧流速较小,是马面鲀的过路渔场和产卵场。春季马面鲀的产卵场基本集中在钓鱼岛近海(26°N断面)的涡旋区及其西侧边缘的近底层,水温为17—18℃,盐度为34.6—34.8‰,比容偏差10~((?)δ)为270一290。若以涡旋底部的比容偏差10~((?)δ)作为衡量外洋水强弱的指标,则它与上海、舟山渔业公司4—5月份的马面鲀产量之间的相关系数为0.913;与马面鲀年总产量的相关为0.812。故认为该水文要素可提供渔获量预报的一项指标。马面鲀仔鱼基本沿涡旋周围的海流逐步向东北方向漂移。
