Immunostimulant effects of nucleotide isolated from yeast RNA on carp, Cyprinus carpio L. 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Nucleotides from yeast RNA were evaluated for their ability to enhance the non-specific immune responses in carp, Cyprinus carpio . Oral administration of nucleotides to fish daily for 3 days resulted in enhanced responses of phagocytic and nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) activities in kidney phagocytic cells. This activation of kidney cells was observed for at least 10 days post-treatment. The serum complement and lysozyme activities also increased in fish treated with nucleotides. Furthermore, the number of Aeromonas hydrophila in nucleotide-treated fish significantly decreased in the blood, kidney and liver after intraperitoneal injection. Thus yeast nucleotides appear to enhance non-specific immune responses in fish. 相似文献

The stable production of high‐quality fry in marine aquaculture is still hampered by unpredictable mortality caused by infectious diseases during larval rearing. Consequently, the development of new biocontrol agents is crucial for a viable aquaculture industry. The bacterial energy storage compound poly‐β‐hydroxybutyrate (PHB) has been shown to exhibit beneficial properties on aquatic organisms such as enhanced survival, growth, disease resistance and a controlling effect on the gastrointestinal microbiota. However, the effect of PHB on the developing immune system of fish larvae has so far not been investigated. In this study, the effect of feeding PHB‐enriched Artemia nauplii on survival, growth and immune response in European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) postlarvae was examined. Amorphous PHB was administered to 28‐day‐old sea bass postlarvae over a period of 10 days. The survival and growth performance were monitored, and the expression of 29 genes involved in immunity, growth, metabolism and stress‐response was measured. While the expression of the insulin‐like growth factor 1 (igf1), an indicator of relative growth, was upregulated in response to feeding PHB, the larval survival and growth performance remained unaffected. After 10 days of PHB treatment, the expression of the antimicrobial peptides dicentracin (dic) and hepcidin (hep) as well as mhc class IIa and mhc class IIb was elevated in the PHB fed postlarvae. This indicates that PHB is capable of stimulating the immune system of fish early life stages, which may be the cause of the increased resistance to diseases and robustness observed in previous studies. 相似文献

Thirty-seven mares, barren for at least one year, were diagnosed to have endometrial inflammation by cytological examination and/or bacterial culture. Sixteen of these mares (the control group) were treated with prostaglandin and reevaluated cytologically within 10 days of behavioral estrus. Fifteen out of sixteen (15/16) (93.8%) remained positive for endometrial inflammation. Twenty-one mares (immunologically treated group) were treated with Propionibacterium acnes by injecting 1 ml per each 113.3 kilograms body weight intravenously on days 1, 3, and 7 following the diagnosis of endometrial inflammation. They also received prostaglandin. Twelve of the immunologically treated mares were examined cytologically as were the control mares. One of twelve examined (1/12) (08.3%) was positive cytologically for endometrial inflammation when examined within 10 days after behavioral estrus. The other nine mares in the treated group were bred on the first behavioral estrus following treatment. Nine of nine (9/9) were determined to be pregnant to 60 days gestation. The other treated mares were bred following the cytological evaluation. Eighteen of the twenty-one treated mares (18/21) (85 7%) were confirmed pregnant to 60 days gestation. 相似文献

45只1日龄海兰褐壳蛋鸡雄性雏鸡随机分成3组(Ⅰ、Ⅱ组分别在千克基础日粮中含甘露寡聚糖2、4g,Ⅲ组为对照组),试验期42d.结果表明,Ⅱ组鸡的白细胞吞噬率和PHA淋巴细胞转化率(27.6%,47.8%)与Ⅲ组(23.6%,43.8%)相比差异极显著(P<0.01);Ⅱ组鸡的白细胞吞噬率与Ⅰ组(25.3%)比较差异显著(P<0.05).Ⅰ组鸡白细胞吞噬率(25.3%)显著高于Ⅲ组(23.6%)(P<0.05),PHA淋巴细胞转化率(47.1%)极显著高于Ⅲ组(43.8%)(P<0.01).Ⅱ组鸡盲肠大肠杆菌数(9.001亿)、盲肠和回肠内容物pH值(6.137、5.097)都极显著低于Ⅲ组(9.412亿,6.66、6.08)(P<0.01);Ⅰ组鸡盲肠大肠杆菌数(9.164亿)显著低于Ⅲ组(9.412亿)(P<0.05),盲肠和回肠内容物pH值(6.253、5.258)都极显著低于Ⅲ组(6.667、6.08)(P<0.01).测试的各项指标除白细胞吞噬率外,Ⅰ组和Ⅱ组之间均无显著差异.日粮中添加甘露寡聚糖能显著提高鸡的细胞免疫功能,能通过改善肠道内环境,显著降低大肠杆菌数,促进有益的乳酸菌生长,降低场内容物的pH值.添加高剂量甘露寡聚糖对鸡肠道微生态的调节作用没有明显的累加效应,说明了肠道微生态的平衡在正常情况下具有一定程度的? 相似文献

The prawn Penaeus stylirostris (Stimpson), when fed for 28 days with n‐3 highly unsaturated fatty acid (HUFA)‐enriched feed pellets, demonstrated an enhanced resistance to variations in environmental parameters (a decrease in temperature and salinity over a 4‐day period from 28 °C to 17 °C and from 35‰ to 10‰ respectively) and an improvement in their immune defence potential, i.e. increased agglutination titre of plasma and increased respiratory burst of haemocytes. 相似文献

Alkylglycerols (alkyl-Gro) are ether lipids abundant in the liver of some elasmobranch fish species such as ratfishes and some sharks. Shark liver oil from Centrophorus squamosus (SLO), or alkyl-Gro mix from this source, have several in vivo biological activities including stimulation of hematopoiesis and immunological defences, sperm quality improvement, or anti-tumor and anti-metastasis activities. Several mechanisms are suggested for these multiple activities, resulting from incorporation of alkyl-Gro into membrane phospholipids, and lipid signaling interactions. Natural alkyl-Gro mix from SLO contains several alkyl-Gro, varying by chain length and unsaturation. Six prominent constituents of natural alkyl-Gro mix, namely 12:0, 14:0, 16:0, 18:0, 16:1 n-7, and 18:1 n-9 alkyl-Gro, were synthesized and tested for anti-tumor and anti-metastatic activities on a model of grafted tumor in mice (3LL cells). 16:1 and 18:1 alkyl-Gro showed strong activity in reducing lung metastasis number, while saturated alkyl- Gro had weaker (16:0) or no (12:0, 14:0, 18:0) effect. An increasing number of substances is capable of potentiating immune responses. These can be grouped into several categories: bacterial products, leucocyte extracts (transfer factor, interferon) thymic hormones and synthetic drugs (levamisole). Their therapeutic use against infections is still uncommon for several reasons. First, the immunostimulants, particularly the bacterial extracts have many toxic side-effects. Second, most of them have not been obtained under pure and chemically-characterized form. Third the mechanisms of immunostimulation are not completely understood and depending on the route and the timing of injection, the immunostimulants can exhibit suppressive activities. For these reasons a larger use of immunostimulant substances requires purified or synthetic materials, careful experimental and clinical analysis of their effects and rigorous indications. These conditions are already fulfilled for some immunostimulants especially in immunodeficient virus-infected patients. 相似文献
