Characterization of Phaseolus vulgaris L. Landraces Cultivated in Central Italy

Eight Phaseolus vulgaris L. landraces cultivated on farm in marginal areas of Central Italy (Lazio region) were investigated in order to evaluate chemical composition of storage proteins and secondary metabolites fractions. The total protein content showed some differences among landraces; the maximum value was next to 30 g for 100 g of dry weight. The seed storage proteins were screened by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS/PAGE): seven landraces exhibited phaseolin patterns type S, one landrace showed a phaseolin pattern type T. A morphological analysis of cotyledon parenchyma performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed differences in size of starch granules. Moreover the polyphenolic composition was investigated using HPLC-APCI; from the methanol extracts a flavonoid, kaempferol, and a coumarin, 5,7-dimethoxycoumarin, were identified. To our knowledge, this is the first time that 5,7-dimethoxycoumarin has been reported in P. vulgaris seeds.     

Constituents and cytotoxicity of Zanthoxylum rhesta stem bark

3,5-Dimethoxy-4-geranyloxycinnamyl alcohol (1), 8-methoxy-N-methylflindersine (2), xanthyletin and sesamin have been isolated from petroleum ether extract of the stem bark of Zanthoxylum rhesta. The petroleum ether extract and 8-methoxy-N-methylflindersine showed cytotoxicity on brine shrimp nauplii.     

柠檬抗癌活性成分研究进展

柠檬含丰富的营养和生物活性物质,具有重要的营养、医药和保健价值,柠檬的类黄酮、柠檬苦素类似物、单萜类、香豆素类等多种活性成分,具有抗氧化、抗癌的功效。系统地综述了近年来柠檬中具有抗癌作用的生物活性成分的抗癌活性研究进展,旨在为进一步开发利用柠檬资源提供新信息。     

A new coumarin from Sarcandra glabra

Sarcandracoumarin (1), the first coumarin having a 1-phenylethyl substituent at the C-3 position, was isolated along with eleven known phenolic compounds from the water extract of Sarcandra glabra. Its structure was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. Compound 1 exhibited moderate or weak cytotoxicity against several tumor cell lines.     

A new irregular diterpenoid from Opopanax chironium

The ethereal extract of the roots of Opopanax chironium yielded peucelinenoxide acetate (1), a new natural product with an irregular diterpene skeleton, besides the known coumarins gaudichaudin, columbianadin, peucedanin and officinalin isobutyrate.     

New coumarins from Cedrelopsis grevei

Two new coumarins, 7-methoxy-5-prenylcoumarin (isocedrelopsin) (1) and 3',4'-dihydrobraylin (2), were isolated from the trunk bark of Cedrelopsis grevei, along with five known coumarins, microfolicoumarin (6,7-dimethoxy-5-prenylcoumarin, (3), obliquin (4), 8-methoxyobliquin (5), aesculetin (6), cedrelopsin (7) and scoparone (8).     

苜蓿植株及根际土壤中主要酚酸和香豆素物质含量测定

通过高效液相色谱(HPLC)法测定不同试验地间18个苜蓿(Medicago sativa L.)品种植株及根际土壤中主要酚酸和香豆素物质的含量,分析其在不同品种苜蓿植株中的分布特征及不同试验地间差异。经过ASE 350型加速溶剂萃取仪萃取苜蓿植株及根际土壤中酚酸类和香豆素物质,萃取液存放于2oC冰箱,并用0.45μm有机滤膜过滤后通过HPLC测定自毒物质含量。结果显示,18个苜蓿品种中香豆素、阿魏酸、绿原酸、咖啡酸的含量存在差异,其中香豆素、绿原酸含量显著高于阿魏酸、咖啡酸含量。各苜蓿品种间单一自毒物质含量差异显著(P0.05),香豆素、阿魏酸、绿原酸和咖啡酸的总含量差异明显。武威试验地酚酸和香豆素物质平均含量比会宁试验地低4.01%。研究表明:不同苜蓿品种间香豆素、阿魏酸、绿原酸、咖啡酸物质总含量差异显著;苜蓿植株中香豆素、阿魏酸、绿原酸、咖啡酸物质总含量与根际土壤中含量差异极显著。     

A new antiplasmodial coumarin from Toddalia asiatica roots

A new antiplasmodial coumarin, 5,7-dimethoxy-8-(3'-hydroxy-3'methyl-1'-butene)-coumarin (1), has been isolated from the roots of Toddalia asiatica. This finding supports the traditional use of this plant for the treatment of malaria.     

栽培因子对江苏杭白芷产量和香豆素成分含量的影响

[目的]研究不同栽培因子对江苏白芷产量和5种香豆素成分含量的影响,为江苏白芷的规范化栽培提供指导.[方法]进行白芷不同播种期试验,直播和移栽试验,栽培密度试验,水分、光照和肥料试验,并测定白芷的产量,应用HPLC法对香豆素成分含量进行测定.[结果]秋播白芷的产量和香豆素成分含量要明显高于春播和夏播.随着收获时间的推迟,白芷的产量有明显增加,但香豆素成分含量却出现下降的趋势.移栽的白芷的产量和香豆素成分含量均比直播的要低.常规栽培密度的白芷产量要明显高于密植,香豆素含量略低于密植.淹渍胁迫下白芷产量明显下降,但香豆素成分含量却比正常的要高.遮光条件下,白芷的香豆素成分含量变化不大,而生物量有所增加.随着施肥量的增加,白芷产量呈明显上升趋势,但香豆素成分的含量呈现下降的趋势.[结论]白芷以秋播、直播、株行距20 cm×35 cm,1年生最具栽培价值,控制土壤水分和光照,适时追肥以提高白芷产量和香豆素成分含量.
