Assessment of the hip reduction angle for predicting osteoarthritis of the hip in the Labrador Retriever

Hip palpation has been used to provide semiquantitative information regarding passive joint laxity and susceptibility to hip dysplasia. The purpose of this study was to: (1) evaluate the intra- and inter-examiner repeatability of the hip reduction angle measured at 4 months of age by three examiners using manual goniometry and an electromagnetic tracking system; (2) compare the hip reduction angle measured with manual goniometry to the hip reduction angle measured with the electromagnetic tracking system; and (3) evaluate the hip reduction angle, distraction index and Ortolani manoeuvre at 4 months of age as predictors of the development of hip osteoarthritis at 12 months of age in 11 Labrador Retriever dogs. Intra- and inter-examiner repeatability was demonstrated for both the manual and electromagnetic goniometric measurement of the hip reduction angle (coefficient of variation < 4.3% and < 6.1%; and P = 0.163 and P = 0.836 respectively). The hip reduction angle measured by manual goniometry was moderately correlated to the hip reduction angle measured by the electromagnetic tracking system (r = 0.603, P < 0.0000). The hip reduction angle measured by manual and electromagnetic goniometry was a poor predictor of osteoarthritis at 12 months of age (r = 0.231, P < 0.062, and r = 0.321, P < 0.01). The distraction index was moderately correlated with the development of osteoarthritis by 12 months of age (r = 0.493, P < 0.0000). The Ortolani sign was sensitive (100%) but not specific (41%) for the development of osteoarthritis at 12 months of age. The hip reduction angle did not further quantify the Ortolani manoeuvre as a predictor of osteoarthritis in Labrador Retrievers.     

点云数据抽稀与加密对微地形数据分析的影响

针对不同观测尺度下,大起伏(20cm耕作处理)、微起伏(耙平裸坡处理)两种地形的点云数据进行抽稀、加密处理,选取地表曲率、坡向、地表糙度3种直观的指标对抽稀、加密处理对微地形数据分析的影响进行了评价。结果显示:抽稀与加密处理对于起伏较大的地形曲率影响更为明显,对于起伏较小的地形则影响不显著。5,10mm数据抽稀与加密处理后坡向变化不显著。1mm尺度抽稀地表糙度的影响十分规律,5mm加密与抽稀对于大起伏地形的影响十分复杂,10mm加密对于大起伏地形糙度变化较为复杂,裸坡变化则相对规律。     

高频引力波在电磁环形腔焦点区域的时空扰动效应

基于弱场条件,计算了在柱坐标下由电磁环形腔中强电磁简正模在其焦点区域产生的引力驻波的第二类克氏联络、里奇张量、曲率标量及其能量密度.研究发现,在焦点区域的引力驻波的能量密度是正定的.此外,讨论了该引力驻波的能量密度和时空的曲率标量的关系.高Q值强场环形微波腔以及受控核聚变的Tokamak装置均具有轴对称的特点,并可作为可能的潜在高频引力波源.     

大口径长输管道用弯管的设计制造

在国内外缺少适用于大口径长输管道用的大曲率半径的弯管设计、制造规范的情况下，建议在符合现有规范的条件下设计时，应考虑曲率半径的选取尽可能小，以减小所需变制设备、芯模的规格尺寸和空间场地；当弯管和与之相连的直管材质不同时，应在壁厚计算公式中乘以两种不同材质的屈服强度比值；为节省投资和合理利用钢材，应慎重确定弯管制造的壁厚减薄量；为保证弯头质量，在选材上不宜选用螺旋焊缝钢管，而应选用高强度低合金钢管或     

医用骨水泥和人工韧带在犬髋关节脱位治疗中的应用

为了探索人工圆韧带植入术治疗犬髋关节脱位远期疗效降低的解决办法,选择体重6．5 kg～7．5 kg、年龄1岁左右的3只本地家犬,在使用外科丝线替代圆韧带植入髋关节后,使用医用骨水泥填充和封闭髋臼和股骨孔道,术后通过运动姿态观察、负重力测试、常规 X 线摄片、血清生化项目检测和病理剖检几个方面,分析评估人工圆韧带植入术使用医用骨水泥的效果。结果显示,随着犬肢运动状态逐渐改善,术肢负重力增加;但随着丝线断开或出现退行性关节病,术肢运动肢势改变和负重力降低;骨水泥填充、封闭人工圆韧带孔道效果可靠,关节滑液保持良好,血清重要生化指标均在参考范围。在动物试验基础上,选择医用人工韧带植入和将骨水泥用于犬髋关节脱位临床病例1例,经过9个月的动态观察,术肢运动状态、负重力和髋关节 X 线影像与健肢相比无任何异常。动物试验与临床疗效表明,联合使用医用骨水泥和人工韧带能够很好地重建髋关节结构和功能,维持人工圆韧带植入术治疗犬髋关节脱位的远期疗效。     

计算机辅助流体曲面优化设计的探讨

从流体曲面设计的优化目标出发，导出了应用于流体曲面设计的一般流体光顺性条件一，同时对理论流场进行了射影综合分析，为选择现有数学样条函数或曲面进行流体曲面设计了提供了依据。     

基于计算机视觉的立木树干曲率自动测量方法

树干曲率的自动测量是智能立木整枝机作业的重要步骤.该文针对立木图像的特点,提出了一种基于计算机视觉的立木树干曲率自动测量方法.该方法包含4个主要步骤:利用阈值分割对树干图像进行提取,得到图像的粗分割;在中值滤波的基础上,利用拉普拉斯算子对图像进行边缘位置点的检测,从而得到准确而连续的边缘;利用数学形态学方法对树干边缘进行细化处理;以道格拉斯-普克法提取树干曲线上的特征点,对其进行曲线拟合并求得树干曲率.实验结果表明,该方法能比较准确地识别树干的弯曲度.      

AN INFECTED HIP PROSTHESIS IN A DOG DIAGNOSED WITH A 99mTC-CIPROFLOXACIN (INFECTON) SCAN

This case report describes the use of the 99mTc-labeled radiopharmaceutical ciprofloxacin (Infecton) in a case of hip prosthesis loosening in a dog. Serial planar radiographs were not conclusive, and culture of the synovial fluid was negative. Antibiotic treatment did not result in improvement of the lameness. Scintigraphy was performed with 99-Tc-Infecton, a tracer claimed to be specific for infection. Antibiotic treatment was interrupted 6 weeks prior to the examination. Planar and tomographic images at 3 h and at 24 h postinjection showed increased activity along the acetabulum and the proximal femoral bone surrounding the femoral prosthesis, indicating focal infection. Bacteriology performed after removal of the implant revealed Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
