Acupuncture for general veterinary practice.

Since the International Society of Veterinary Acupuncture (IVAS) was founded in 1974, acupuncture (AP) has received greater acceptance by veterinary professionals throughout the world. This article introduces some important animal diseases that respond well to AP therapy. These include resuscitation of small animals, treatment of anoestrous gilts and sows, bovine reproductive disease, canine vertebral problems and equine backpain, etc. Conventional medicine considers these to be difficult cases to treat. Veterinarians have become more aware of the benefits of AP especially for those diseases, thanks to the efforts of experienced practitioners and scientists, and the many published reports on veterinary AP that have introduced some good indications for AP therapy in veterinary practice. Possible mechanisms behind the effectiveness of AP are discussed. This article aims to introduce veterinarians to good indications for AP to initiate their interest in the practice of AP. Although this is a rapidly expanding field, a long march must begin with one step. We wish this article to be the shoes for such a march. For more information on veterinary AP, contact IVAS , P.O. 辣椒夏季品比试验报告

为了考察我公司新推广品种及新配组合在高温伏旱状况下的适应性，我们于2003年5月7日在公司试验基地进行了品种对比试验。结果表明新推广品种中有九个品种或组合为极耐热或耐热，一个品种耐热性稍差。新配组合中部分表现优良，有推广前景。     

槟榔红色素的抗氧化活性

测定槟榔红色素(areca red pigment,AP)对 DPPH·和·OH的清除能力、对脂质体过氧化的抑制能力、对Fe2+的络合能力,并测定其还原能力.结果表明:槟榔色素对DPPH·、·OH的清除能力较强:对脂质体过氧化的抑制能力很强,抑制率高达79.84%;与VE、没食子酸(gallic acid,GA)、BHT相比,槟榔色素的还原力、对Fe2+的络合能力较弱.说明槟榔红色素是较好的抗氧化剂.     

不同栽培密度对秋大棚黄瓜生育期及产量的影响

试验以黄瓜为材料,采用随机区组设计,研究了不同栽培密度对秋大棚黄瓜生育期及产量的影响。结果表明,当栽培密度为4000株/667m2时,产量和产值都达到最高。     

晚熟鲜食桃优良新品种八月香选育研究

１９９４年，从豫白和搬口白的杂交后代中选育出晚熟鲜食桃优良新品种八月香。其果实发育期１３０ ｄ，在郑州地区成熟期为８月２０日左右。果实近圆形，向阳面着鲜红到紫红色晕。平均果重１６８ ｇ，最大果重２８６ ｇ，果肉乳白色、硬溶质，风味浓甜，有香味，品质极上。丰产、稳产、耐贮运，具有较强的抗逆性。近年来已在全省范围内推广，新疆、四川、湖南、广西、浙江、山西、河北等省已引种栽培。     

单克隆抗体ELISA检测犊牛粪便中冠状病毒抗原

用两株单克隆抗体混合后包被ＥＬＬＩＳＡ微孔板，加牛冠状病毒抗原，加经白陶土处理过的兔抗牛冠状病毒免血清，再加上辣根氧化物酶标记的羊抗兔ＩｇＧ抗体，加底物质显色间接ＥＬＩＳＡ检测牛冠状病毒抗原获得成功。用此方法检测细胞培养的牛冠状病毒上清液，其敏感度高出血凝试验（ＨＡ）８倍，从武汉市附近３个奶牛场采集犊牛腹泻粪便１０５份，用单抗ＥＬＩＳＡ检测牛冠状病毒抗原，共检出阳性３６份，并与血凝及血凝抑制试验，     

澳洲坚果引种试种研究初报

澳洲坚果无性系从１９７９年开始引入中国，并在南亚热带作物研究所（南亚所）试种，现已在南亚热带地区七省扩大试种达２００ｈｍ＾２，各地生长均良好，已有少量结果。南亚所植区澳洲坚果１３龄树平均单株年产已达６ｋｇ（壳果），抗寒性良好，在－４℃时仍未受害，病虫害不严重（曾发生过花序枯萎病、速衰病、茎干溃疡病），但风害严重。澳洲坚果的适生温度在１０℃－３０℃，以最冷月（１）平均气温≤１０℃，年降雨量在１０００     

Spring Barley Responses to Row Spacing and Fungicide Triadimefon in Regions with a Short Crop-growing Season

Aspects of intensive management practices such as high-yielding cultivars, narrow-row spacings and fungicide treatments could potentially increase cereal yields in regions with a short crop-growing season and occasionally dry and hot weather. A field experiment was carried out at McGill University, Canada for three years (1987 to 1989) to test the effects of triadimefon (1-[4-chlorophenoxy]-3,3-dimethyl-1-[1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl]-2-butanone, or Bayleton, a trade name) fungicide (0 vs. 140 g a.i. ha⁻¹) and row spacing (10 vs. 20 cm) on the yield components, yield and other agronomic traits (spike emergence, days to maturity, leaf disease and plant height) of spring barley ( Hordeum vulgare L.) cv. Cadette, Laurier and Leger. A cultivar by row spacing interaction resulted in a 11 to 13.5 % increase in grain yield due to narrow rows for Laurier in two out of the three years and up to 16 % for Leger in one year. Over the three years grain yields were on average increased 6 to 12 % due to use of the narrower row spacing. Fungicide application to barley at the early heading stage effectively controlled leaf diseases without influence on yield components or grain yield. Our results indicate that some components of intensive management such as narrow row spacing can be applicable in regions with a short crop-growing season.     

乳酸杆菌制剂对肉仔鸡肠道菌群、血清球蛋白及生产性能的影响

120只1日龄艾维茵肉仔鸡饲喂不同水平乳酸杆菌制剂,研究乳酸杆菌制剂对肉仔鸡的饲喂效果。结果表明,乳酸杆菌制剂在提高肉仔鸡成活率、增重和改善饲料利用率方面有一定的促进作用,但效果不显著(P>0.05)。而在改善肠道菌群结构和提高血清球蛋白方面效果显著(P<0.05)。
