The effects of lime application with multiple soil management methods and uses on dry matter (DM) yield and crude protein (CP) content of Silage maize cropping in succession with Italian ryegrass (ryegrass) from 2009 to 2014 in a southern Brazilian Oxisol were studied. The experimental design was completely randomized block in split-plot with four replications. The main plot treatments were the four soil management methods: conventional tillage (CT), minimum tillage (MT), no-tillage (NT) and chiseled no-tillage (CNT). The sub-plots treatments were the three uses of Italian ryegrass (ryegrass): cover crop (CC), silage (S), and grazing dairy heifers as part of integrated crop-livestock system (ICL). In all the years, the maize was sown approximately 30 days after the ryegrass desiccation with herbicide. In the medium-term (5 yrs.) after liming, soil management methods did not change DM yield and CP content in silage maize. The use of ryegrass for S and ICL did not change DM yield, but notably maintained or increased CP content in silage maize after liming. The use of ryegrass only as CC provided less measurable benefits than the combined production system of silage maize with ryegrass.  相似文献

The objective was to verify the uniformity of single superphosphate distribution among seeder-fertilizer rows and its consequences on crops. The experiment was installed in the municipality of Tibagi—PR, involving the following crop rotation in the same area: black oat (Avena strigosa) in 2012, corn (Zea mays) in the 2012–13 season, wheat (Triticum aestivum) in 2013, soybeans (Glycine max) in the 2013–14 season, black oat in 2014 and corn closing the cycle in the 2014–15 season. The experimental design was used in randomized blocks, considering the number of rows of the seeder-fertilizer (ranging from 11 for corn to 27 for wheat) as treatments; with three replicates. During the experimental period, 250 kg ha?1 of single superphosphate were distributed per crop at sowing, with a mean deviation of up to 14% and variation in the fertilizer mass among the seeder-fertilizer rows in up to 52%. The variables evaluated were initial population and income components. It was concluded that it is not possible to correlate the variation of fertilizer distribution among rows of the seeder-fertilizer with the variables that presented significant differences in the crops through three agricultural seasons. This fact may be related to the alternation of the highest and lowest doses of simple superphosphate. Due to the succession of seeder-fertilizers used over the years to crops seeding, there was a compensation for the random variation of fertilizer among rows and crop spacings along the crop seasons.

From the experimental crystal structure and ab initio calculations on resveratrol and its derivatives, structural features of mechanistic importance are described. The molecular structure reveals the relative coplanarity of the trans-stilbene skeleton, and the molecular packing in the solid state shows an extensive hydrogen bond network that elucidates the flip-flop motion of the three hydroxyl groups that alternately form and break H bonds with each of the neighboring phenolic oxygens. The dynamic behavior provoked by the alternation of hydrogen bond formation and breaking can result in the ready mobility of up to three hydrogen atoms per resveratrol molecule that can be transferred to reactive oxidants that are rich in electron density. In addition, theoretical studies confirm the planarity of resveratrol as well as for half of the molecule of a condensation dimeric derivative of resveratrol, trans-sigma-viniferin. Furthermore, these studies show the p-4'-OH group to be more acidic compared to the other two m-OH groups. These features correlate with the biological activity of resveratrol as an antioxidant and support earlier studies showing H-atom transfer to be the dominant mechanism by which phenolic antioxidants intercept free radicals.  相似文献

The use of treated sewage effluent in agriculture has been a current practice in several countries. However, in Brazil, there are few studies about this subject. This research work aimed at evaluating the potential utilization of secondary-treated sewage effluent (STSE) as an alternative source of water and nitrogen (N) for Tifton 85 bermudagrass pasture. A field experiment was carried out at Lins, State of São Paulo, Brazil, for 2 years, using a randomized complete block design, with four replications and five treatments, as follows: (i) T1 (control) – irrigation with potable water and addition of mineral-N fertilizer (MNF) – 520 kg N ha−1 year−1; (ii) T2–T5 – irrigation with STSE (31.9 mg total-N L−1) and addition of MNF – 0, 171.6, 343.2 and 520 kg N ha−1 year−1, respectively. Potable water and STSE characteristics were monitored monthly; above ground grass dry matter yield (DM) and crude protein content (CP) were determined bimonthly. Increases in DM and CP were observed for the high MNF rates associated with irrigation with STSE. STSE irrigation can efficiently substitute potable water for irrigation of Tifton 85 bermudagrass pasture and, simultaneously, save 32.2–81.0% of the recommended N rate without loss of grass DM and CP yield.  相似文献

Carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) dynamics in agro-systems can be altered as a consequence of treated sewage effluent (TSE) irrigation. The present study evaluated the effects of TSE irrigation over 16 months on N concentrations in sugarcane (leaves, stalks and juice), total soil carbon (TC), total soil nitrogen (TN), NO3-N in soil and nitrate (NO3) and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) in soil solution. The soil was classified as an Oxisol and samplings were carried out during the first productive crop cycle, from February 2005 (before planting) to September 2006 (after sugarcane harvest and 16 months of TSE irrigation). The experiment was arranged in a complete block design with five treatments and four replicates. Irrigated plots received 50% of the recommended mineral N fertilization and 100% (T100), 125% (T125), 150% (T150) and 200% (T200) of crop water demand. No mineral N and irrigation were applied to the control plots. TSE irrigation enhanced sugarcane yield but resulted in total-N inputs (804-1622 kg N ha−1) greater than exported N (463-597 kg N ha−1). Hence, throughout the irrigation period, high NO3 concentrations (up to 388 mg L−1 at T200) and DOC (up to 142 mg L−1 at T100) were measured in soil solution below the root zone, indicating the potential of groundwater contamination. TSE irrigation did not change soil TC and TN.  相似文献
