Plasma and tissue enzyme activities in the cat

The levels of activity of sorbitol dehydrogenase (SDH), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and its isoenzymes, α-hydroxybutyric dehydrogenase (α-HBDH) and creatine kinase (CK) were determined in various tissues of six clinically normal cats. The plasma half times (T_1/2) of several hepatic enzymes were also measured in three clinically normal cats.
