Nutritive constituents of Silky fowl eggs: comparison with hen eggs of White Leghorn origin 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
In the present study, proportional parts, amounts of major constituents, vitamins, minerals and fatty acids composition of Silky fowl eggs were examined compared with those of hen eggs. The ratio of egg yolk weight to whole egg weight of Silky fowl egg was significantly larger than that of egg yolk of hen egg. The amount of cholesterol of Silky fowl eggs were significantly (P < 0.01) less than those of hen eggs. The amount of vitamins (B2, B6, D and E), calcium and potassium in Silky fowl eggs were significantly higher than those of hen eggs. Unsaturated fatty acids in Silky fowl eggs were 62.5% among total fatty acids, the unsaturated fatty acids of hen eggs were 53.9%. Especially, the contents of arachidonic acid, docosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid in Silky fowl eggs were significantly larger than in hen eggs. 相似文献

The annual ring width, density and shrinkage variation from pith to bark in Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata) and Boka sugi (Cryptomeria japonicd) were studied and compared. The results show that the ring width decreased sharply from pith to bark for Chinese fir. However, the ring width variation pattern for Boka sugi followed a different way, i.e., the ring width decreased to the fifth ring, increased to the tenth ring, decreased again to the fifteenth, and then increased to the twentieth, where it became constant. The large variations of Boka sugi appeared to show the maintenance of fast growth for many years. The annual ring mean density of Chinese fir increased gradually from pith to bark. However, the density changes for Boka sugi indicated the opposite trend, i.e., the mean density decreased gradually from pith to bark. The pharmacological effects of the anesthetic alfaxalone were evaluated after
intramuscular (IM) administration to 6 healthy beagle dogs. The dogs received three IM
doses each of alfaxalone at increasing dose rates of 5 mg/kg (IM5), 7.5 mg/kg (IM7.5) and
10 mg/kg (IM10) every other day. Anesthetic effect was subjectively
evaluated by using an ordinal scoring system to determine the degree of neuro-depression
and the quality of anesthetic induction and recovery from anesthesia. Cardiorespiratory
variables were measured using noninvasive methods. Alfaxalone administered IM produced
dose-dependent neuro-depression and lateral recumbency (i.e., 36 ± 28 min, 87 ± 26 min and
115 ± 29 min after the IM5, IM7.5 and IM10 treatments, respectively). The endotracheal
tube was tolerated in all dogs for 46 ± 20 and 58 ± 21 min after the IM7.5 and IM10
treatments, respectively. It was not possible to place endotracheal tubes in 5 of the
6 dogs after the IM5 treatment. Most cardiorespiratory variables remained
within clinically acceptable ranges, but hypoxemia was observed by pulse oximetry for 5 to
10 min in 2 dogs receiving the IM10 treatment. Dose-dependent decreases in rectal
temperature, respiratory rate and arterial blood pressure also occurred. The quality of
recovery was considered satisfactory in all dogs receiving each treatment; all the dog
exhibited transient muscular tremors and staggering gait. In conclusion, IM alfaxalone
produced a dose-dependent anesthetic effect with relatively mild cardiorespiratory

To determine the reference level of central venous oxygen saturation (ScvO2)
and clinical efficacy of central venous blood gas analysis, partial pressures of oxygen
and carbon dioxide, pH, oxygen saturation, base excess (B.E.) and HCO3
concentration were compared between simultaneously obtained central venous and arterial
blood samples from conscious healthy 6 dogs and 5 cats. Comparisons between arteriovenous
samples were performed by a paired t-test and Bland-Altman analysis.
Between arteriovenous samples, B.E. showed good agreement, but there were significant
differences in other parameters in the dogs, and no good agreement was detected in cats.
The ScvO2 in dogs and cats were 82.3 ± 3.5 and 62.4 ± 13.5%, respectively.
Central venous blood gas analysis is indispensable, especially in cats. 相似文献

Recently, 3-O-octanoyl-(+)-catechin (OC) was synthesized from (+)-catechin (C) by incorporation of an octanoyl chain into C in the light of (-)-epicatechin gallate (ECg) and (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg), which are the major polyphenols found in green tea and have strong physiological activities. OC was found to inhibit the response of ionotropic gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors (GABA(A) receptors) and Na+/glucose cotransporters expressed in Xenopus oocytes in a noncompetitive manner more strongly than does C. OC also induced a nonspecific membrane current and decreased the membrane potential of the oocyte, and thus death of the oocyte occurred even at lower concentrations than that induced by C or EGCg. Although EGCg produced H2O2 in aqueous solution, OC did not. This newly synthesized catechin derivative OC possibly binds to the lipid membrane more strongly than does C, Ecg, or EGCg and as a result perturbs the membrane structure. 相似文献

ABSTRACT: A physical model of a soft shell underwater float with an openbottom was constructed and the float was subjected to sinusoidaloscillation in the vertical direction in order to investigate the relationsbetween the characteristic properties of the buoyancy and fluidforces in the movement of the float. No change in the fundamentalperiod of the float was seen in response to the imposed oscillation,but there was a lag in the phase of the float response of up toone-quarter wavelength. Various fluid force factors approached valuesreported for a globular buoy as the float was increasingly filledwith air, but hysteresis was very low. The drag coefficient showedmuch scatter. The dominant factor for control of vertical movementof a soft shell float with open bottom was buoyancy, not fluid resistanceforce.
