Rainbow trout (initial body weight 4.16 ± 0.25 g) were fed diets [crude protein 420 g kg?1; gross energy 18.7 MJ kg?1 dry matter (DM); crude fat 110 g kg?1] containing graded levels of either a canola meal (crude protein 350 g kg?1 DM) supplemented with DL‐methionine as partial fish meal protein. A growth trial was conducted over 16 weeks at a water temperature of 12 ± 1 °C. At the end of the growth trial, in addition to body composition analyses, plasma tri‐iodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4), cholesterol and liver fatty acid composition were measured. Replacement of fish meal with canola meal (100–570 g kg?1 replacement) did not affect on growth performance. At 16th week, plasma cholesterol levels were reduced in fish fed all diets in comparison with 8th week. Plasma T4 levels were significantly higher in the canola meal‐fed fish sampled after 16 weeks, but no significant differences in T3 levels were obtained (P > 0.05). Proximate compositions were affected by dietary treatments. The liver fatty acid composition reflected that of the diet with a higher level of polyunsaturated (n‐6) fatty acids in fish fed diet canola meal and a higher content in n‐3/n‐6 ratio in fish fed diet without canola meal. These studies show that canola meal has potential to replace substantial levels of fish meal in diets for carnivorous fish without compromising performance.  相似文献

In this study, a simple method with improved properties for Glutamate Dehydrogenase immobilization is proposed by using bacterial cellulosic nanofiberas as a novel and inexpensive biomatrix. Acetobacter xylinum ATCC 10245 has been chosen and cultivated for synthesis of this nanofiber with the diameter of 30-70 nm. Thereafter, Glutamate Dehydrogenase was immobilized into the nanofiber pores in two steps: 1) enzyme adsorption and 2) crosslinking by glutaraldehyde. Optimum pH for the activity of immobilized enzyme and optimum temperature was reported in this work. Also the relative activity of immobilized enzyme was about 38 % in comparison to the enzyme activity of the first day after about two months. Moreover after reusing of the enzyme for 9 cycles, the immobilized enzyme retained over 83 % of its initial activity. Glutamate Dehydrogenase is immobilized on bacterial cellulosic nanofiber for the first time which can affect on facilitation of Glutamate production. Also can be a good method for having a stable and robust immobilized Glutamate Dehydrogenase that can withstand harsh operating conditions in processes which are common in these kind of reactions.  相似文献

A 25-year-old mule was showing signs of colic. Clinical examination revealed acute pain, bilateral abdominal distention, stretching out and standing in this position. Rectal palpation revealed a hardened mass in the ventral region of the pelvic inlet. Surgical intervention was accomplished and faecaliths removed by colotomy. The mule died unexpectedly and postmortem examination revealed sand masses within the right ventral and right dorsal colon which caused obstruction of the intestinal tract in sternal and diaphragmatic flexures, respectively. This appears to be the first report of sand colic in a mule in Iran.  相似文献

A three-year-old horse was admitted to the Tehran Veterinary faculty teaching hospital with colic symptoms. The horse died with severe pain after two hours. Necropsy findings revealed a heavy worm infestation in the stomach. Parasitological examinations identified massive in vasion of Habronema muscae on the stomach mucosal surface and Draschia megastoma in the deep layer of mucosa and muscles.Histopathological sections showed two separate lesions including diffuse infiltration of mononuclear inflammatory cells with a number of eosinophils in the mucosa and submucosa that suggested eosinophilic gastritis. Another finding was a large granulation mass in the deep layer of the submucosa that contained granulomatous necrotic tissue and cross sections of D. megastoma.  相似文献

In the present study, 115 stray dogs (56 males and 59 females, mixed breed), 86 golden jackal (Canis aureus, 42 males and 44 females), 60 red foxes (Vulpes vulpes, 33 males and 27 females), and three female wolves (Canis lupus) were examined for Echinococcus granulosus infection, as well as, 32,898 sheep, 10,691 goats, 15,779 cattle and 659 buffaloes for hydatid infection from five provinces in western Iran during 3 years (1997-2000). Meanwhile fertility rates of different types and forms of cysts isolated from infected animals and the viability of protoscolices were also determined. Results indicated that 19.1% of the dogs, 2.3% of the golden jackals and 5% of the red foxes were infected with Echinococcus granulosus. 11.1% of the sheep, 6.3% of the goats, 16.4% of the cattle and 12.4% of the buffaloes were also found to be infected with hydatid cyst. The cysts isolated from liver and lungs of the sheep show higher fertility rate than the cysts of liver and lungs of goats, cattle and buffaloes.  相似文献

Evaluation of various fungicides against needle blight disease of pine was carried out at Sheri Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology of Kashmir(India) during the year 2008 and 2009. Application of various fungicides were evaluated in vivo at different concentrations. However in both, mist-chamber and poly-chamber, the Blue pine(Pinus wallichiana Jackson)seedlings treated with hexaconazole 5EC(@ 0.03 %) or carbendazim 50WP(@ 0.1 %) depicted significantly less disease incidence and intensity. The seedlings treated with mancozeb 75WP(@ 0.3 %) and chlorothalonil 75WP(@0.3 %) exhibited less disease incidence and intensity.Increase in relative humidity from 60 to 100 % significantly enhanced needle blight disease incidence and intensity. In field trial the fungitoxicants used either as single spray or protectant followed by systemic fungitoxicant spray significantly reduced disease incidence in Blue pine compared to check. The mean disease incidence in fungitoxicant treated plants varied from 11.82 to 25.51 %as compared to 36.03 % in control.  相似文献

Mango (Mangifera indica L.) and their components are commonly used in folk medicine for many curative effects. The protective effects of different concentrations of aqueous extract of Mangifera indica L. fruit (Mango Extract) (20, 50 and 100 μg/ml) and also gallic acid (100 μM) as a pure compound in the extract were examined against oxidative stress toxicity induced by cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) in isolated rat hepatocytes. The extracts and gallic acid (100 μM) protected the hepatocyte against all oxidative stress markers including cell lysis, ROS generation, lipid peroxidation, glutathione depletion, mitochondrial membrane potential decrease, lysosomal membrane oxidative damage and cellular proteolysis. Mango Extracts (20, 50 and 100 μg/ml) were more effective than gallic acid (100 μM) in protecting hepatocytes against CHP induced lipid peroxidation. On the other hand gallic acid (100 μM) acted more effective than Mango Extracts (20, 50 and 100 μg/ml) at preventing lysosomal membrane damage. In addition H2O2 scavenging effect of all extracts were determined in hepatocytes and compared with gallic acid (100 μM). There were no significance differences (P<0.05) between all plant extracts and gallic acid (100 μM) in H2O2 scavenging activity. These results suggest a hepatoprotective role for Mango Extract against liver injury associated with oxidative stress.  相似文献
