Treatment of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) onto m-aramid fabric was carried out by pad-dry-cure method using dimethylformamide (DMF) dissolved acrylic fiber solution. The obtained PAN treated m-aramid fabric was dyed using exhaustion method with basic dyes. The effect of PAN treatment on fabric stiffness property was acceptable with acrylic fiber solutions ranging from 1 wt% to 4 wt%. Whilst, more than 4 wt% PAN treated fabrics exhibited undesirable stiffness. The dyeing results showed that PAN treated m-aramid fabrics exhibited a significant increase in color strength when compared to untreated fabric, arising from an increase in anionic dye sites (styrene SO3 ? group). Wash fastness was comparable to that of untreated fabric, indicating the strong interaction between dye molecules and the PAN. Rubbing fastness of treated fabrics was not affected by treatments with PAN concentrations lower than 4 wt%. Further increase in PAN concentration led to poorer rubbing fastness property due to the problem of surface dyeing. For light fastness, the PAN treatment failed to improve the light fastness property which is the main disadvantage of basic dyeing of aramid fabric. Finally, in case of PAN treatments with the range of 1 wt% to 4 wt%, the flame retardancy property of PAN treated m-aramid fabrics was found not affected by the percent add-on. However, above 4 wt% PAN treatment, the flame retardancy performance became deteriorated.  相似文献

PLA/PLA-g-ABS blends were prepared and evaluated for mechanical properties performance. Firstly, carboxylic acid functionalized ABS particles were synthesized by grafting polymethacrylic acid (PMAA) onto ABS particle surface using potassium persulfate as an initiator. The reaction was followed by FTIR analysis. The resultant carboxylated ABS was melt mixed with virgin PLA in an internal mixer to obtain PLA/PLA-g-ABS blends. The obtained PLA/PLA-g-ABS blends were subject to injection molding to obtain specimens for testing evaluation. It was found that impact resistance values significantly outperformed neat PLA by 60 %, 87 %, and 150 % for PLA/PLA-g-ABS 10 wt%, PLA/PLA-g-ABS 20 wt%, and PLA/PLA-g-ABS 30 wt%, respectively. A significant increase in impact strength was contributable to ABS rubber which exhibited even dispersion and good interfacial adhesion. The impact strength was dependent on the percent loading of PLAg-ABS; the more the PLA/PLA-g-ABS the higher the impact strength value. In a similar manner, tensile strength increases when loaded with PLA/PLA-g-ABS albeit at lesser effect. Considering the percent elongation, a massive increase in percent elongation was recorded in case of PLA/PLA-g-ABS 20 wt% and PLA/PLA-g-ABS 30 wt%, implying that these blends were extremely flexible and tough when compared to neat PLA, control, and PLA/PLA-g-ABS 10 wt%.  相似文献

Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) is a widespread pathogen causing bacterial leaf blight (BLB) disease, devastating rice productivity in many cultivated areas of Thailand. A specific and simple method for Xoo detection is required to improve surveillance of disease transmission and outbreak. This study developed a recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) assay assisted with CRISPR-cas12a assay (RAC) for Xoo detection from bacterial cell suspension of infected rice samples without DNA extraction. The efficiency of the RAC system for Xoo detection using either Xoo80 or Xoo4009 locus was optimized to amplify and determine the sensitivity and specificity using a Xoo DNA template from bacterial cell suspension of infected rice samples without DNA extraction. The RAC system using the Xoo4009 locus gave a higher specificity than Xoo80 locus, because only Xoo species was amplified positive RPA product with fluorescence signal by cas12a digestion, which indicated no cross reactivity. Optimal RAC using the Xoo4009 locus enabled diagnosis of Xoo presence from both plant extracted samples of Xoo artificially inoculated rice leaves within 3 d post-inoculation without symptomatic BLB appearance, and Xoo naturally infected rice. Findings exhibited that RAC using the Xoo4009 locus offered sensitivity, specificity and simplicity for Xoo detection, with low intensities of Xoo-DNA (1 × 103 copies/μL) and Xoo-cell (2.5 × 103 cfu/mL). This developed RAC system showed significantly potential for Xoo detection at point-of-care application for early signs of BLB disease outbreak in rice fields.  相似文献
