 Rice seedling growth, estimated by plant height and root development and discoloration, was better in pasteurized soil than in unpasteurized soil obtained from a flooded rice field. Rice seedlings also grew better in sterilized soil modified by adding roots harvested from the pasteurized soil than in soil modified by adding roots harvested from the unpasteurized soil. The results demonstrate that seedling growth in the rice field soil was inhibited by soil microorganisms, even though no typical symptoms such as seedling blight or damping-off appeared. Pythium aristosporum is suggested to be involved in the inhibition. Thus, it appears that inconspicuous restraint of rice seedling growth could occur in soils of rice paddy fields. We have previously shown that oral immunization with non-replicating antigens hardly induced serum IgG antibody response in chickens and addition of sodium fluoride (NaF) to the immunogen markedly improved their immunological states. In the present study, taurine, lithium and Quillaja saponin (Q-SAP) were compared with NaF with respect to their enhancement of serum IgG antibody response in chickens after oral immunization. The antibody titer of chickens which received Q-SAP as the mucosal adjuvant tended to be higher than that of chickens which received antigen plus NaF. Simultaneous administration of antigen with lithium or taurine elicited a higher antibody titer in chickens compared to those of chickens orally immunized with antigen alone, but the effect of these two adjuvants was less efficient compared with that of NaF. These results suggested that Q-SAP as well as NaF is useful as an oral adjuvant for chickens.  相似文献

以L-茶氨酸作对照,评估本实验室合成的新颖的茶氨酸衍生物-茶氨酸溴香酰胺(TBrC)对人肝癌HepG2细胞系体内外生长的抑制作用,并初步探究其作用的分子机制。采用MTT法检测不同浓度的TBrC对HepG2细胞体外生长的影响,应用蛋白质印迹法检测解析HepG2细胞中与癌细胞凋亡和生长密切相关蛋白的表达和药物可能作用的分子靶点。此外,建立动物肿瘤模型,与对照组茶氨酸和临床常用抗癌药物五氟尿嘧啶组相比较,评价TBrC对荷瘤裸鼠人肝癌HepG2肿瘤生长的抑制效果。实验结果显示,TBrC抑制人肝癌细胞体内外生长的活性超过其母体化合物茶氨酸分别为3倍和4倍以上,对小鼠生长无明显毒性。TBrC比茶氨酸更显著地抑制肝癌细胞生长因子受体c-Met和抗凋亡的Bcl-2等蛋白的表达;此外,TBrC大大上调促进凋亡的Bax蛋白的表达。TBrC抑制c-Met信号传导通路,下调Bcl-2/Bax蛋白比率可能是其作用的分子机制之一。这些结果提示,TBrC具有广泛应用于临床治疗和(或)辅助治疗人肝癌和其他癌症的潜力。  相似文献

Effect of Changing Temperature on the Deterioration of Soya Beans   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Deterioration rates as indicated by carbon dioxide evolution for soya bean (Glycine max L. Merr.) stored under changing temperature conditions were quantified and compared with those predicted using equations. Experiments included soya bean moisture contents of 18, 22, and 26% (wet basis), constant storage temperatures of 15, 20, 25, and 30°C, and cyclical storage temperatures that changed between 15 and 25°C and between 20 and 30°C on a 24 h basis. Also, the growth of micro-organisms was identified after 10 days from the treatments by using the pour plate method.The results indicated an increase in deterioration by increasing storage temperature and moisture content of soya bean. Equations of carbon dioxide weight versus time for each moisture content and storage temperature were fitted. The longest allowable storage time to reach 0·5% dry matter loss (1132 h) occurred at lower moisture content and lower constant storage temperature, while the shortest allowable storage time (170 h) occurred at higher moisture content and higher constant storage temperature. The allowable storage times for soya bean stored under cyclical temperatures were close to the allowable storage time for soya bean stored at a constant temperature equal to the average cyclical temperature. Microbial infection levels increased with increasing storage temperature and moisture content. The increasing rate of micro-organism growth decreased by increasing the storage temperature over 25°C. However, this increasing rate of micro-organism growth for soya bean exposed to a cyclical storage temperature was usually lower than that for soya bean held at constant storage temperatures of about 20°C (the average of 15 and 25°C) and 25°C (the average of 20 and 30°C).  相似文献

The dog of this case was a 10-year-old Shih Tzu with refractory vomiting, diarrhea and anorexia. Endoscopy revealed an unclear at gastric angle, a stenosis at pyloric antrum and congestion in duodenal mucosa. Since abnormal shadows of irregular echo-levels were disclosed by pancreas ultrasonography, serum gastrin level was determined with a suspect of gastrinoma. And an increase of serum gastrin was demonstrated. In addition, postmortem histological examination revealed that the pancreatic cells were positive for gastrin. Based on these findings, the dog was diagnosed as pancreatic gastrinoma.  相似文献
