Anatomy of the digestive tract and external body development during the embryonic stages of the caprine (Copra, bircus) The purpose of this work has been to establish the pattern of prenatal growth and normal development of the digestive tract and annex glands during goat embryonic stages. 21 embryos with ages ranging from 14 to 34 days (1.69 to 5.90 cm CR) as determined by registering the mating time, were obtained by cesarea. This material was histologically processed to obtain complete serial sections of the stomatodaeum, foregut, midgut, hindgut and cloaca. In this work, it is chronologically described the morphogenesis and histogenesis of the mouth, hypophysis, pharynx and its derivatives, stomach, intestine, liver, pancreas and cloaca. The results obtained establish chronological comparisons with the development of the lamb and gives information on the unitary origin of the gastric compartments in ruminants.  相似文献

Disease of geese caused by a new herpesvirus   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
A goose flock farmed outdoors in south-eastern Queensland suffered an outbreak of peracute disease with high death rate (97%). Small button ulcers and large plaques overlying lymphocyte aggregates were present on the mucosa of the small intestine of affected birds. Small white foci of necrosis and focal haemorrhages were seen in the livers. Numerous intranuclear inclusion bodies were observed microscopically in hepatocytes and a herpesvirus which grew rapidly in chicken kidney cells was isolated from tissues. Duck virus enteritis (DVE) was suspected but DVE antiserums failed to neutralise the virus. Further serological studies with a limited range of known avian herpesviruses have failed to identify the virus. Experimental transmission resulted in high mortality in geese (100%), lower mortality in ducklings and nil mortality in chickens. Surveillance studies showed no evidence of infection in domestic and wild birds beyond the original farm and the infection appears not to have been established in the area. Wild ducks, which were frequent visitors to the farm dam, were considered the most likely source of the infection.  相似文献

In vitro studies of lens formation in chick embryo have suggested the action of two factors leading the lens induction in the cephalic ectoderm in the absence of optic vesicle: preliminary instructive specific stimulus (homotypic endo-mesoderm) and permissive unspecific stimulus (heterotypic mesenchymes). In order to detect the true capacities of tissues that exert this influence in the cultural condition, series of in vitro experiments were planned. Exclusion experiments: explants including presumptive lens ectoderm were cultured previous to a progressive exclusion of adjacent tissues to trigger lens formation (endoderm, mesoderm and neural tissue), from stage 1 to 7 of HAMBURGER/HAMILTON. Recombinant experiments: Recombinations of caudal epiblast with cephalic hypoblast from blastoderms stages 3, 4 and 5; and recombinations of cardiac mesoderm stage 7 with trunk ectoderm stage 11, were cultured in close association. Lens and lentoids were formed in the presumptive lens ectoderm, even when endoderm, neural tissue and optic vesicle were excluded, but always in presence of subjacent mesoderm. Observation of cephalic epiblast after to be separated mechanically from the underlying tissues showed that the presumptive cardiac mesoderm remains in contact with the epiblast. Beside the cardiac area was capable of forming lens bodies in contact with the trunk ectoderm. It was concluded that the cardiac mesoderm is able to exert a instructive specific stimulus and a permissive unspecific stimulus during in vitro lens formation.  相似文献

Mixtures of either sunflower oil or thermodegraded sunflower oil and a standard meal were submitted to an in vitro digestion model. The same experiment was carried out with fluid deep-frying fat and thermodegraded fluid deep-frying fat. The thermodegradation of the oil and fat was provoked by submitting them to 190 degrees C with aeration in a convection oven, and the presence in the headspace of the thermodegraded oil and fat of oxygenated alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehydes (OalphabetaUAs), such as 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal (HNE), 4-oxo-2-nonenal (ONE), and 4,5-epoxy-2-decenal (EDE), was monitored by solid phase microextraction (SPME) followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The digestion products were separated by centrifugation in a lipidic phase, an aqueous phase, and a pellet phase. The headspace of these three phases was also studied by SPME/GC-MS to check if the toxic and very reactive OalphabetaUAs above-mentioned remained unaltered after the in vitro digestion process or if they had reacted with the various compounds present in the digestion products, so disappearing from the samples. With the same aim the extract in ethyl acetate of the aqueous and pellet phases, and of the lipidic phase after dilution, were studied by GC-MS. All results obtained showed that a certain proportion of the toxic OalphabetaUAs remains unaltered after digestion, dispersed in the three phases above-mentioned, and thus are bioaccessible in the gastrointestinal tract and so could reach the systemic circulation. Compounds that may originate in Maillard type reactions (2-pentylpyridine) are found among digestion products, proving that these reactions are possible in this process if adequate substrates are present. In addition, it has been shown that toxic metabolites from the synthetic antioxidant BHT, present in fat before digestion, remain unaltered after this process and could reach the systemic circulation.  相似文献

The improvement of the nutritional quality of lettuce by its association with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) has been recently reported in a previous study. The aim of this research was to evaluate if the fertilization with three P sources differing in water solubility affects the effectiveness of AMF for improving lettuce growth and nutritional quality. The application of either water-soluble P sources (Hewitt's solution and single superphosphate) or the water-insoluble (WI) fraction of a "rhizosphere-controlled fertilizer" did not exert negative effects on the establishment of the mycorrhizal symbiosis. AMF improved lettuce growth and nutritional quality. Nevertheless, the effect was dependent on the source of P and cultivar. Batavia Rubia Munguía (green cultivar) benefited more than Maravilla de Verano (red cultivar) in terms of mineral nutrients, total soluble sugars, and ascorbate contents. The association of lettuce with AMF resulted in greater quantities of anthocyanins in plants fertilized with WI, carotenoids when plants received either Hewitt's solution or WI, and phenolics regardless of the P fertilizer applied.  相似文献

Lettuce can be associated with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). This symbiosis involves a molecular dialogue between fungus and plant that includes the activation of antioxidant, phenylpropanoid, or carotenoid pathways. The objective of this study was to test if the association of lettuce with AMF benefited plant growth and increased the contents of compounds potentially beneficial for human health. Results showed that AMF improved growth of lettuce, thus producing a dilution effect on the concentrations of some mineral nutrients (e.g., Ca and Mn). However, Cu, Fe, anthocyanins, carotenoids, and, to a lesser extent, phenolics appeared in higher concentrations (on a wet basis) in mycorrhizal than in nonmycorrhizal plants.  相似文献
