襄阳发展村“养殖小区”

襄樊市襄阳区是湖北省有名的畜牧大区。在市场农业快速发展的今天 ,如何解决一家一户小生产与千变万化大市场之间的矛盾成为当务之急。襄阳区委、区政府在实践中 ,建立了“养殖小区”新模式 ,即通过利益联系机制 ,让一定区域内的农户自愿结合起来 ,组成风险共担、利益均沾的养殖共同体。养殖小区按照“统一管理、分户饲养、统一销售、分享利润”的方式 ,把一家一户的小生产凝聚起来 ,形成具有一定规模优势的大群体 ,提高了市场竞争力。在“养殖小区”发展起步阶段 ,为鼓励农民积极参与 ,襄阳区委、区政府制定了免费补偿饲料地 ,提供小额信贷…     

Relative efficacy of organophosphorus insecticides against susceptible and resistant strains of the strike blowfly Lucilia cuprina (Calliphoridae) in New Zealand sheep

Four groups of five Romney lambs were treated by plunge dipping with one of four registered organophosphorus flystrike preventatives. Untreated lambs acted as controls. The sheep were challenged at weekly intervals with larval implants of organophosphate-susceptible and -resistant strains of Lucilia cuprina. All four treatments provided 19-21 weeks protection against susceptible larvae but chlorfenvinphos provided the longest protection (16-17 weeks), followed by propetamphos (15-16 weeks), dichlofenthion (10-13 weeks) and diazinon (9-13 weeks), against the resistant strain.     

Eosinophilic papulocrustous dermatitis (miliary dermatitis) and eosinophilic inflammatory bowel disease in two cats

Two cats with chronic eosinophilic skin disease were investigated. The clinical investigation of the skin disease in one cat was limited and inflammatory bowel disease was diagnosed post mortem. A history of weight loss and a palpably thickened bowel in the second cat suggested concurrent gastrointestinal disease. Diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease was confirmed on biopsy. Treatment with azathioprine and methylprednisolone acetate resolved the signs of gastrointestinal disease, the pruritus and 95% of the skin lesions. The concurrence of eosinophilic papulocrustous dermatitis and eosinophilic bowel disease raises the possibility of their being linked bv a common aetiology or pathophysiology.     

Gulf stream: velocity fluctuations during the late cenozoic

Biostratigraphic analysis of seven piston cores from the southeastern Blake Plateau suggests that the upper Miocene to Recent sedimentary section at this location represents a history of deposition of calcareous ooze alternating with current-induced nondeposition or erosion. This record is primarily a result of long-term fluctuations in the velocity of the western boundary current or Gulf Stream, which sweeps the plateau. High-velocity phases of this current system, as signaled by hiatuses in the section, lie within the time limits 4.8 to 6.1, 3.9 to 4.4, 2.3 to 2.9, and 0 to 1.5 million years before present (B.P.). These time intervals are coeval with dated episodes of climatic decline and glaciation. The most intense acceleration of the Gulf Stream, as indicated by deep erosion of the Blake Plateau, occurred in the latest Miocene to earliest Pliocene (4.8 to 6.1 million years B.P.) in conjunction with a major expansion of the Antarctic ice cap. Subsequent accelerations of the Gulf Stream coincide with early Pliocene cooling in the Southern Hemisphere, worldwide expansion of high-altitude-high-latitude glaciers in the late Pliocene, and the classical glaciations of the Pleistocene. An additional, protracted increase in the average velocity of the Gulf Stream, which began in the late Miocene and culminated in the mid-Pliocene (about 3.8 million years B.P.), can be attributed to the gradual emergence of the Central American isthmus.     

建设新农村背景下农村生活垃圾处理对策研究——以云南省红河州建水县岔科镇为例

为促进农村生活垃圾治理与人居环境整治融合发展,以云南省红河州建水县岔科镇为例,实证调研农村生活垃圾处理存在的问题。分析认为,当前岔科镇生活垃圾主要通过“村收集,镇处理”的模式进行处理,存在垃圾产量高、分类难度大、村民缺乏环保意识、参与度不高以及资金短缺等问题,阻碍了新农村建设的步伐。针对岔科镇垃圾处理的现状和面临的问题,采用优化原则进行量化分析,结合当地实际,提出加大农村垃圾分类宣传,提高村民垃圾分类意识和垃圾分类能力;制定适宜当地的环境保护条例;建立健全垃圾处理机制等建议,进一步提高该镇垃圾处理的效率和能力,以引导村民正确处理垃圾,建设更美丽清洁的农村,创造令人向往的农村生活环境。     

冬季猪病的防控要点

<正>冬季气温低,天气寒冷、昼夜温差大,而且昼短夜长,光照时间变短,给猪舍正常采光和饲养管理工作带来诸多不便。加上在防寒保温过程中引起通风不良,猪群的应激反应明显增加,导致猪的许多病原微生物(包括病毒、细菌和寄生虫等)易于繁殖和存活,导致猪的抵抗力下降,许多猪疾病趁虚而入,促成疫病的发生和严重化。     

恩阳区莲藕绿色丰产栽培技术

四川巴中市恩阳区气候非常适宜莲藕正常生长,全区莲藕种植年产量达4.5万t,产值超2亿元。为加快推进当地莲藕产业发展进程,实现农业增效、农民增收、产业富区的目标,从藕田藕种选择、栽培管理细节、病害防治等方面介绍了当地莲藕绿色丰产栽培技术。     

Interaction of curcumin with phosphatidylcholine: A spectrofluorometric study

Curcumin [1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3, 5-dione], the main constituent of the rhizomes of the plant Curcume longa L. (turmeric), is a powerful antioxidant in both enzymatic and nonenzymatic systems. The interactions of curcumin with egg and soy phosphatidylcholine were followed by fluorescence spectroscopy. Curcumin had very weak fluorescence in aqueous system, which was enhanced in apolar environments. Curcumin emitted at 490 nm after being excited at 451 nm in phosphatidylcholine micelles. The equilibrium constants for the interaction of curcumin with egg and soy phosphatidylcholine were (3.26 +/- 0.2) x 10(5) and (2.64 +/- 0.2) x 10(5) M(-1), respectively. From the Scatchard plot of the fluorometric data, it was inferred that one molecule of curcumin could bind six molecules of phosphatidylcholine. The equilibrium constant for the phosphatidylcholine-curcumin interaction decreased with temperature, indicating the amphiphilic nature of curcumin. The DeltaG, DeltaH, and DeltaS values obtained for the interaction of egg phosphatidylcholine-curcumin were -7.8 +/- 0.3 kcal/mol, -9.6 +/- 0.4 kcal/mol, and -6.8 +/- 0.2 cal/mol/K, respectively. The fluorescence anisotropy measurements of curcumin with phosphatidylcholine suggested that the anisotropy of the curcumin molecule did not change in phosphatidylcholine. The interaction of divalent metal ions with phosphatidylcholine-curcumin in comparison with phosphatidylcholine-1-anilino-8-naphathalenesulfonic acid complex suggested the strong binding of curcumin to metal ions.
