The behavior of iron-chelating agents in soils is highly affected by interactions with the solid phase. Still this aspect is frequently ignored. In this research the adsorption of the siderophore ferrioxamine B by Ca-montmorillonite, as a free ligand (desferrioxamine B, DFOB) and as a complex with Fe3+ (ferrioxamine B, FOB), was studied, using thermo X-ray diffraction (thermo-XRD) in the temperature range 25-360 degrees C and thermo-FTIR spectroscopy in the temperature range 25-170 degrees C. The effect of pH (4-7.5) on the adsorption was examined. Extensive use of curve-fitting analysis was required due to significant overlapping of the characteristic absorption bands of the various functional groups. Thermo-XRD analysis showed that both DFOB and FOB penetrated into the interlayer space of Ca-montmorillonite. FTIR results indicated strong interactions of DFOB within the interlayer, which involved all functional groups (NH3+, secondary amide groups, and hydroxamate groups). In contrast, the folded Fe complex of FOB retained its molecular configuration upon adsorption, and the basal spacing of the clay increased correspondingly. FOB interacted in the interlayer space of the clay, mainly through the NH of the secondary amide groups and NH3+, while the functional groups bound to the central Fe cation remained unchanged. The suspension pH had no significant effect on both DFOB and FOB adsorption at the examined range. Adsorption protected the adsorbates from thermal degradation compared to the nonadsorbed samples up to 105 degrees C. At 170 degrees C both DFOB and FOB were already partially degraded, but to a lesser extent than the nonadsorbed samples. Degradation of the molecules occurred mainly through the hydroxamic groups, which constitute the Fe-chelating center in the hydroxamic siderophore.  相似文献

Three previously described highly polymorphic SSR (microsatellite) primer pairs were tested on 126 sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) accessions to adapt a fast, reliable method for preliminary screening of sweet cherry germplasm collections and to compare two sweet cherry germplasm collections: at the Latvia State Institute of Fruit-Growing, Dobele (LIFG-Dobele) and at the Division of Horticultural Genetics and Plant Breeding at Balsgård, Department of Crop Sciences, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU-Balsgård). The SSR loci were highly polymorphic with 4–10 different alleles and 5–18 genotypes. Heterozygosity values ranged from 0.431 to 0.809, gene diversity (PIC) values ranged from 0.400 to 0.753, and the discriminating power of each locus varied from 0.631 to 0.894. The combined discriminating power of all loci was highly effective (0.996). Sixteen identical accession groups with the same allele profile were discovered in both collections. This study demonstrated that SSR fingerprinting with the three primer pairs tested, can be used for preliminary characterization of sweet cherry germplasm collections.  相似文献

Spatial distribution of soil mineral‐N content (Nmin) is a scale‐variant process. Precision farming assumes knowledge about the spatial distribution of Nmin. Moreover, sampling in management zones is based on the assumption of spatial dependence between sampling points. In the present study, variability structure of Nmin and the sources of variability were investigated. Within an agricultural landscape, Nmin was investigated across a field in a nested design over four consecutive years. Temporally unstable structure of individual nests require a sampling with several nests in the field. In the investigated field, 35%–49% of the total variability derived from small‐scale variability observed at spatial distances of <5 m and from sampling and analytical errors. Differences between 10 and 26 kg N ha–1 for the soil depth increment 0–60 cm can be expected. Uncertainty due to analytical errors were in the order of 5–10 kg N ha–1 for a 0–60 cm layer.  相似文献

Sequence variation of the mtDNA D-loop region was analyzed in order to investigate the intraspecific evolution and the population genetic structure of the critically endangered European eel Anguilla anguilla. An additional attempt was made to collect information on the genetic characteristics of groups of eels representing naturally recruited eels to Lithuania and Latvia and introduced into Lithuanian lakes. A total of 148 eels were investigated, and 107 different haplotypes attributed to 39 haplogroups were determined during the study. A dataset comprising 229 sequences was created using the data from both this study and from earlier studies (n = 81). Analysis of this dataset revealed that haplotype diversity was 0.99567, the average number of nucleotide differences was 12.50544, there were 145 polymorphic sites and nucleotide diversity was 0.02426. No significant genetic differentiation was detected between different combinations of samples. However, the population genetic structure of this species could be characterized as a genetic mosaic formed due to the existence of reproductively isolated groups. The existence of a genetic mosaic in this species could be explained by the different evolutionary lineages found in the eel population.  相似文献

The Latvian and the Swedish sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) genetic resources collections comprise valuable material for breeding. The collections represent local Latvian and Scandinavian genetic resources: semi-wild samples, landraces, and cultivars developed in local breeding programmes, as well as diverse germplasm from the northern temperate zone. The objective of this investigation was to determine which S 1 –S 6 alleles are most important in the sweet cherry genetic resources collections and to compare the identified allelic and genotypic frequencies in material of different origin. Accessions in the two collections were screened for the presence of the self-incompatibility (S) S 1 to S 6 alleles, using PCR based typing. Significant differences (P < 0.05) between screened collections were found in frequencies of S 4 and S 5 alleles. Analysis of allele combinations identified the high occurrence of selections with the S-genotype S 3 S 6 in both collections. Compared to the S-allele frequencies published for over 250 sweet cherry cultivars from Western and Southern Europe, the Latvian and Swedish germplasm appeared to have a high frequency of the S 6 allele in both collections, and a relatively high frequency of the S 5 allele in Latvian germplasm. This study represents the first comprehensive S-allele screening for the sweet cherry genetic resources collections in Latvia and Sweden. Both sweet cherry collections contain high proportion of accessions adapted to north central European growing conditions, not typical for the majority of the documented sweet cherry genetic resources, which explains differences in certain S-allele occurrence.  相似文献

To examine changes in the level of and pattern in variability in 197 Nordic and Baltic spring barley cultivars over time we used 21 mapped barley simple sequence repeats (SSRs). A total number of 191 alleles were found from 22 SSR loci. The number of alleles per locus ranged from 2 to 23, with average of 8.63 107 alleles were rare (frequency <0.05) among the cultivars and only one allele was frequently observed (frequency >0.95). The gene diversity between loci in Nordic and Baltic material varied between 0.033 and 0.891. Average gene diversity was 0.623. The SSR data separated two-rowed and six-rowed cultivars. According to analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) differentiation in two-rowed vs six-rowed accounted for 23.6% of the total variation. Overall no significant decrease of average gene diversity over time could be found. However, differences were observed when spring barleys from northern (north of ∼58°) and southern (south of ∼58°) parts of the Nordic and Baltic area were compared. For the southern ecogeographical region significant decrease of genetic diversity was observed in the middle of the 20th century, whereas no significant changes in the northern part were found. We found larger differentiation between modern and old cultivars in the South compared to the ones in North parts of the region. The magnitude of changes in genetic diversity differed also with the country of origin. Danish cultivars had a significant decrease in diversity in the middle of century, whereas changes in Finland, Norway and Sweden were not significant.  相似文献

Magnetic collapse in transition metal ions is predicted from first-principles computations at pressures reached in the Earth's lower mantle and core. Magnetic collapse would lead to marked changes in geophysically important properties, such as elasticity and conductivity, and also to different geochemical behavior, such as element partitioning, than estimated by extrapolating low-pressure data, and thus change the understanding of Earth's structure and evolution. Magnetic collapse results from band widening rather than from changes in crystal field splitting under pressure. Seismic anomalies in the outer core and the lowermost mantle may be due to magnetic collapse of ferrous iron, dissolved in iron liquid in the outer core, and in solution in magnesiowustite in the lowermost mantle.  相似文献

The land unit, as an expression of landscape as a system, is a fundamental concept in landscape ecology. It is an ecologically homogeneous tract of land at the scale at issue. It provides a basis for studying topologic as well as chorologic landscape ecology relationships. A land unit survey aims at mapping such land units. This is done by simultaneously using characteristics of the most obvious (mappable) land attributes: land-form, soil and vegetation (including human alteration of these three). The land unit is the basis of the map legend but may be expressed via these three land attributes. The more dynamic land attributes, such as certain animal populations and water fluxes, are less suitable as diagnostic criteria, but often link units by characteristic information/energy fluxes. The land unit survey is related to a further development of the widely accepted physiographic soil survey see Edelman (1950). Important aspects include: by means of a systems approach, the various land data can be integrated more appropriately; geomorphology, vegetation and soil science support each other during all stages (photo-interpretation, field survey, data processing, final classification); the time and costs are considerably less compared with the execution of separate surveys; the result is directly suitable as a basis for land evaluation; the results can be expressed in separate soil, vegetation, land use and landform maps, or even single value maps.A land unit survey is therefore: a method for efficient survey of land attributes, such as soils, vegetation, landform, expressed in either separate or combined maps; a means of stimulating integration among separate land attribute sciences; an efficient basis for land evaluation. For multidisciplinary projects with applied ecologic aims (e.g., land management), it is therefore the most appropriate survey approach.Within the land unit approach there is considerable freedom in the way in which the various land attribute data are integrated. It is essential, however, that: during the photo-interpretation stage, the contributions of the various specialists are brought together to prepare a preliminary (land unit) photo-interpretation map; the fieldwork data are collected at exactly the same sample point, preferably by a team of specialists in which soil, vegetation and geomorphology are represented; the final map is prepared in close cooperation of all contributing disciplines, based on photo-interpretation and field data; the final map approach may vary from one fully-integrated land unit map to various monothematic maps.  相似文献
