On the effectiveness of four new organic fungicides against two smut-fungus species of wheat [
Ustilago tritici
(Pers.) and
Tilletia tritici
(Bjerk.)]
Field experiments in two areals in Iran proved the effectivness of 4 organic fungicides: Vitavax [2,3 Dihydro-5-carboxanilido-6-methyl-1,4-oxathilin], Derosal [2-(Methoxy-carbonylamino)-benzimidazol], Thiophamine [Methyl-4-(2-aminophenyl)-3-thioallophanate] and Cercobin-M [1,2-bis-(3-Methylxycarbonyl-2-thioureido)-benzol] against the stone-smut-fungus (Tilletia tritici) and the flight-smut-fungus (Ustilago tritici) of wheat. At GorganTilletia was destroyed totally by all of the substances named. At Karadj Vitavax caused only 70–90% reduction compared with the three other products which reached 90–100%.Ustilago was controlled only at Karadj. Here Vitavax caused 60% reduction whereas the three other preparations reached 85–95%. 相似文献

Summary For the purpose of weed control in Alfalfa, testplots on the basis of randomized block design have been installed by the Aoricultural Faculty of Teheran University. 4 different Herbicides have been applied in 8 treatments. The significant results of these tests have shown that Sinbar, at an application of 640 g. A. i. per ha, was the most effective Herbicide. The plots treated with Sinbar produced the lowest weight of weeds and the highest weight of Alfalfa.Kloben and T. C. A., in separate, and also mixed application, were second, and a mixture of Afalon and T. C. A. were third. At the end of this report, the qualities of Sinbar are mentioned. The tests have shown that many Mono- and Dicothyledon-weeds exist in Alfalfa fields during spring, while in autumn the Monocothyledones increase. The common opinion that the growth of Alfalfa plants will suffocate the weeds, cannot be confirmed by us. Weed control in Alfalfa by Herbicides, which are tested and recommended, is economically profitable.

Summary
New and little known mite-species found in Iran
Report is made about the most important mites of the family Tenuipalpidae, Tetranychidae and Eriophyidae (Acari), which, until now, have been found to be pests in Iran. The new speciesCenopalpus irani Dosse was identified on apple and quince, as well asCenopalpus crataegi Dosse onCrataegus oxyacantha andCr. monogyne. The spider miteEotetranychus weldoni (Ewing) was found onSalix pentandra. Gall-forming and vagrant kinds of Eriophyidae have been observed onAlnus glutinosa, Amygdalus communis, Ficus carica, Juglans regia, Pyrus communis, P. malus, Punica granatum andRubus idaeus recently. The discovery ofPhyllocoptes granati K. (deutogyne) onAmygdalus communis andEriophyes brevipunctatus Nal. onUlmus campestris is completely new in Iran. For the first timeRhyncaphytoptus ficifoliae K. in deutogyne form has been identified on leaves ofFicus carica. BesidesZetzellia mali, especially predatory mites of the Phytoseiidae family seem to play an important role in Iran, as we discoveredPhytoseius finitimus on figs, grapes andRubus idaeus, andPhytoseius corniger on figs, too.The importance of mites of the Tydeidae family and a number of other rare mites is still widely unknown. 相似文献
