The largescale Dujiangyan Irrigation System has had a long history. Built some 2200 years ago, it still operates smoothly today. Two major causes for the obvious profits it has provided are:Firstly, Yuzui (a bifurcation pier), Feishayan (a sand outlet and spillway) and Baopingkou (a diversion intake for the general trunk canal), the three main head-works were built in accordance with the terrain and topography of the river and appropriately arranged, thus successfully solving the problem of sand discharge and flood control. Consequently the task of gravity diversion could be fulfilled over a long period.Secondly, there is a special management and maintenance system, which is made up of a technical and an administrative department. The former is in charge of the maintenance and drawing-up of flood control and water consuming plans. The latter is responsible to mobilize and organize farmers which benefit from the system to carry out related plans and tasks. The most apparent characteristics of management is that many farmers are organized to participate in the management of this irrigation system. At present, techniques like remote control and telemetery have been adopted. Also experiments on management automation and optimization of water allocation are being conducted.  相似文献

The kingdom of Urartu existed in Eastern Anatolia from about 850 B.C. to 600 B.C. Historical references and archaeological evidence indicate the considerable artistic and technical skill of the Urartian people. The supply of the kingdoms capital Tupa/Rusahinili with drinking and irrigation water is an outstanding example of a well-planned and excellently built historical inter-basin water management project. The system has been in operation for more than 2000 years and still serves, at least partly, its original purpose.  相似文献

The organization of two farmer-managed irrigation systems in the western hills of Nepal is described by examining the ways in which the activities of water allocation, water distribution, maintenance, and resource mobilization are performed. Due to the topography and environment, these two organizations are structured primarily to mobilize the large amount of labor required for maintenance of the intake and canal. Both organizations precisely define each member's water allocation. In one system, water is allocated in proportion to the area of an individual's land holding, while in the other water allocation is by purchased shares. These two cases were used to analyze the importance of the principle of water allocation for expansion of area irrigated and equity of access to irrigation. Evidence from the two systems shows that in this hill environment water allocation by purchased shares provides the individual incentive and an organizational mechanism for efficient development of irrigation resources. Expansion of area irrigated and equity of access to irrigation were found to be greater in the system which allocates water by purchased shares than where water was allocated in proportion to area irrigated.  相似文献

A survey of irrigation performance assessment as conducted in California was performed. Emphasis was placed on the actual procedures employed by the State's major water providers and irrigation districts. Survey results covered the development of innovative irrigation performance assessment parameters as well as the methodologies used to evaluate these parameters. All aspects of California's irrigation infrastructure were considered, from the management of major hydraulic structures, through water delivery, and on-farm consideration. The division of irrigation water in The Fayoum, Egypt, has been measured. Factors influencing this division are discussed: the hydraulic conditions at structures and canals, the operation regime of gates, lack of reliable gauge data for system operation, shortage of labour, and the water level in Lake Qarun. A deviation from uniform supply has been found for the entire Fayoum, but also along a lateral and sub-lateral. 运用 TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry)计测土壤含水量 ,80年代以来就受到了瞩目 ,到今天为止TDR方法在土壤盐分浓度 ,浸润面深度 ,冻结融解面深度等许多领域得到广泛应用。为了确认在运用 TDR方法进行土壤含水率测定时介电常数 ε与含水率 θ之间的关系曲线的滞后现象的有无 ,以及确认运用 TDR方法计测土壤冻结融解面深度的有效性 ,进行了一系列的实验。实验证明 ,在运用 TDR方法进行土壤含水率测定时介电常数ε与含水率θ之间的标定曲线中没有出现滞后现象 ,运用 TDR方法计测土壤冻结融解面深度不论在室内实验还是在田间实验中都很有效 ,并取得了较高的精度。  相似文献
