季节对美系杜洛克母猪胴体和肉质性能的影响

本试验测定了不同季节对美系杜洛克的胴体和肉质参数的影响。结果提示:季节对美系杜洛克猪的胴体品质无显著影响。在肉质参数中,秋冬季猪肉的红度(6.47±0.73)显著低于春夏季(8.78±0.85),贮存损失(3.26±0.88)也显著低于春夏季(5.63±0.64)。     

Effect of Application of Coir Compost, Enriched Farm Yard Manure and an Hydrophilic Polymer on Soil Moisture Content, Growth and Yield of Rainfed Sorghum in Association with Azospirillum

Field experiment was conducted to study the effect of application of new organic manures and an hydrophilic polymer in combination with fertilizer application and Azospirillum inoculation on soil moisture content, growth and yield of rainfed sorghum. Application of enriched farm yard manure with urea mixed either 24 hours before sowing or at the time of sowing produced the highest LAI, DMP and grain yield. High soil moisture content was noticed due to incorporation of coir compost. Split application of nitrogen and Azospirillum inoculation besides increasing the LAI and DMP gave 15.2 per cent and 14.5 per cent increase in yield respectively.     

家猪13/17罗伯逊易位染色体着丝粒DNA的FISH检测

根据已报道的家猪着丝粒卫星DNA序列设计引物,对家猪基因组DNA进行PCR扩增,得到AC2卫星DNA序列。用PCR法将D ig-dUTP插入目的片段中得到标记DNA,然后利用荧光原位杂交方法检测13/17易位染色体。研究结果显示杂交信号位于所有端着丝粒染色体和13/17易位染色体的着丝粒区域,表明13号染色体和17号染色体虽然融合为一条亚中着丝粒染色体,但仍含有端着丝粒AC2卫星DNA,13/17易位染色体的AC2卫星DNA未发生缺失。     

Development of a leukocytopenic baby guinea pig model with azathioprine and cyclophosphamide

Immunosuppressive agents were given to baby guinea pigs to develop a leukocytopenic baby guinea pig model. Azathioprine in different doses, and cyclophosamide and methylprednisolone combinations did not result in predictable leukocytopenia without significant mortality. A combination of azathioprine 20mg and cyclophosphamide 20mg administered once daily for 5 days to 42 baby guinea pigs resulted in a mean white blood cell count of 2531/mm³ ±1198 (a reduction of 3931 ± 1413 from pretreatment values). The mean counts for polymorphonuclear leukocytes and lymphocytes on day 6 were 398/mm³ and 2035/mm³, respectively. Only 7% mortality was seen in these animals. This model can be utilized to study a variety of bacterial and viral infections in “immunocompromised hosts”.     

Hematological and blood chemical data of pigs fed various amounts of mink manure

The effect of feeding mink manure to pigs and the utilization of its protein and mineral content was studied by blood analyses. Individual variation was large, and the differences between groups were small. Growth of the animals had a significant effect on the levels of several blood components. Judging from the blood analyses, mink manure feeding did not have any harmful effects on the health of the pigs, and the differences to normal feeding were small.     

Morphology of the pig cornea in normal conditions and after incubation in a perfusion apparatus

The fine structure of the pig cornea in normal conditions and after being used in a perfusion apparatus, for 4 h, is described. Earlier reports on the normal morphology of the pig cornea were partly not confirmed. Thus the number of cell layers in the epithelium was found to be 19-23 (a basal cell layer, 4–5 polyhedral cell layers and 14–17 squamous cell layers) compared to earlier reported 6–9 layers.The mean thickness of normal and perfused corneas were 722 μm and 752 μm respectively. Normal corneas had a hydration level of 77.2 % and after perfusion 78.5 %. The normal morphology and morphological changes due to exposure to perfusion were studied by light and electron microscopy. The differences observed between normal and perfused corneas have to be considered limited, and restricted mainly to the anterior squamous epithelium and the endothelium.Taken together our results indicate that the corneas used in the apparatus still had functional integrity.     

Rapid method for screening of immunoglobulins in porcine fetuses, using rocket immunoelectrophoresis. Application of an interspecies reaction between human and porcine mu-chain

A method for screening of immunoglobulin levels in porcine fetuses is presented. The method is based on rocket electrophoresis. This method is sensitive, but when used for assaying immunoglobulins it is only semiquantitative. It was shown that sera from 11 hysterectomy-derived colostrum-deprived neonatal pigs from a normal gilt contained no IgM or IgA, but small amounts of IgG. Sera from 9 piglets isolated in the same way from a gilt infected with porcine parvovirus contained all 3 antibody classes. IgM was detected by an interspecies reaction using anti human μ-chain immunoglobulin.     

红壤稻田养地体系的研究Ⅰ．有机、无机肥结合对红壤稻田生产效率的影响及其养地效果

多点定位田间试验表明．在福建中低产红壤稻田中混合施用有机和无机肥料，可使水稻生产效率在短期内得到稳定增长（３０％－９２％）．经统计分析比较，水稻生产效率与有机无机总养分（或总氮）投入量呈极显著相关；有机无机肥结合的优点主要表现在土壤生产力的稳定积累和元素生产效率的提高．参试的４大有机给源配合半量化肥的作用近于等效，但在试验期限内（１－３ａ），稻谷产量无额外的互作效应，而绿肥鲜体在增产养地配合效应上具有明显的优势．
