肺动脉压升高是肉鸡肺动脉高压综合征(PHS)的重要发病机制。近年来研究表明一氧化氮(NO)在PHS发生发展中发挥着重要作用。本文论述了NO对肉鸡PHS发病过程的影响。一氧化氮合酶(NOS)和NO活性在PHS早期升高而后期下降。NO具有强大的扩张血管的作用,但在PHS过程中,NO合成相对不足,导致肺血管舒缩失衡,引起肺动脉压升高。肺血管重构是肉鸡肺动脉高压综合征的重要病理学变化特征,而NO可促进肺小动脉平滑肌细胞凋亡,在一定程度上抑制肺血管重构的形成。NO作为自由基对机体造成的损伤也是引起PHS的原因之一。在肉鸡日粮中补充NO前体物L-精氨酸可以增加内源性NO的生成,有助于降低PHS的发病率。  相似文献

Contrast‐enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) is increasingly available for veterinary patients, however limited studies describe the use of this method for characterizing intrathoracic mass lesions. The aim of this prospective, observational study was to describe CEUS enhancement patterns for intrathoracic mass lesions in a sample of cats and dogs. Sixty patients (36 dogs, 24 cats) were included. Standardized CEUS examinations were performed for 41 pulmonary masses (68%) and 19 mediastinal masses (32%). Final diagnosis was based on cytology and/or histopathology. Absolute time to enhancement (TTE) values were recorded for the intrathoracic mass lesions and spleen. The spleen was used as a reference parenchymal organ to calculate relative TTE (rTTE) values. Absolute TTE of the spleen and intrathoracic mass lesions differed for dogs and cats (P = 0.001). The rTTE values significantly differed between lesions of neoplastic versus non‐neoplastic origin (P = 0.004). The majority of neoplastic pulmonary masses were supplied by bronchial arteries (63%), while most nonneoplastic pulmonary masses were supplied by pulmonary arteries (78%). The sensitivity and specificity for detecting pulmonary neoplastic masses with rTTE were 63% and 78%, respectively. Enhancement patterns for mediastinal thymomas and lymphomas significantly differed (P = 0.002). Thymomas enhanced heterogeneously in a centripetal pattern (86%), whereas lymphomas typically enhanced uniformly in a centrifugal pattern (75%). Findings indicated that CEUS is a feasible method for characterizing intrathoracic mass lesions in dogs and cats, however, the diagnostic sensitivity for detecting neoplastic pulmonary masses was low.  相似文献

Objective

To compare static compliance (Cst) and alveolar–arterial oxygen tension difference [P(a–a)O2] between positive end-expiratory pressures (PEEP) of 7, 12 and 17 cmH2O applied after an alveolar recruitment maneuver (RM) in isoflurane-anesthetized horses.

Study design

Prospective, randomized, clinical study.

Animals

A group of 30 healthy adult horses undergoing arthroscopic surgery.

Methods

Animals in dorsal recumbency and mechanically ventilated with a tidal volume of 14 mL kg?1 and 7 cmH2O PEEP (control; n = 6) were subjected to an RM by increasing PEEP from 7 to 22 cmH2O in 5 cmH2O increments at 5 minute intervals, and then decreased similarly to PEEP of 17 (RM17; n = 8), 12 (RM12; n = 8) or 7 cmH2O (RM7; n = 8). Cst and P(a–a)O2 were assessed prior to (baseline) and after the RM at 5, 10, 15, 20, 40, 60 and 80 minutes after achieving each target PEEP, and during recovery from anesthesia.

Results

Post-RM improvements on P(a–a)O2 were maintained (baseline versus 80 minutes) in RM12 [216 ± 77 mmHg (28.8 ± 10.3 kPa) versus 194 ± 39 mmHg (25.9 ± 5.2 kPa)] and RM17 [180 ± 86 mmHg (24.0 ± 11.6 kPa) versus 136 ± 75 mmHg [18.2 ± 10.0 kPa]). The improvements on Cst were maintained only in RM12 (0.80 ± 0.13 versus 0.98 ± 0.13 mL cmH2O?1 kg?1). No such improvements were observed in RM7 and control. No significant differences were observed between groups during recovery from anesthesia.

Conclusions

and clinical relevance The 12 and 17 cmH2O PEEP can be used to maintain the improvements on P(a–a)O2 obtained after an RM. Only 12 cmH2O PEEP maintained the post-RM increase on Cst. Such variables were not influenced by the 7 cmH2O PEEP.  相似文献

Neural crest‐derived melanocytes have been recorded in several parts of the mammalian heart but not in the pulmonary valve. We report here the presence of melanin‐containing cells in the leaflets (cusps) of both the aortic and pulmonary valves. A total of 158 C57BL/6J x Balb/cByJ hybrid mice exhibiting four coat colours, namely black, white, agouti and non‐agouti brown, were examined. We sought for any relationship between the presence of melanocytes in the valves and the coat colour of the animals. The pigmentation levels of the leaflets were accomplished using a scale of five pigment intensities. White mice lacked pigment in the heart. In 10.5% of the remaining animals, there were melanocytes in the pulmonary valve leaflets. Thus, this is the first study to report the presence of such cells in the pulmonary valve of mammals. Melanocytes occurred in the leaflets of the aortic valves of 87.2% of mice. The incidence of melanocytes and the pigmentation level of the leaflets did not statistically differ according to the coat colours of the animals. This disagrees with previous observations, indicating that the amount of melanocytes in the heart reflects that of the skin. The incidence and distribution of melanocytes in aortic and pulmonary valves are consistent with the notion that the formation of the arterial valves is mediated by specific subpopulations of neural crest cells. We hypothesize that melanocytes, even not producing melanin, may be more frequent in the heart than previously thought, exerting presumably an immunological function.  相似文献

AIM: To explore the possible impact of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) donor-sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) on endothelin-1 (ET-1) and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) expressions in rats with pulmonary hypertension induced by high pulmonary blood flow. METHODS: Thirty-two male SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: shunt group, shunt+NaHS group, sham group and sham+NaHS group. Rats in shunt group and shunt+NaHS group were subjected to an abdominal aorta-inferior vena cava shunt to create an animal model of high pulmonary flow. After 11 weeks of experiment, rat systolic pulmonary artery pressure (SPAP), lung tissue H2S, plasma ET-1 concentration and lung tissue ET-1mRNA expression, as well as pulmonary artery CTGF protein expression were detected.RESULTS: After 11 weeks of experiment, SPAP, lung tissue ET-1mRNA, plasma ET-1 as well as pulmonary artery CTGF expressions were increased markedly, respectively, whereas H2S in lung tissue decreased significantly in rats of shunt group as compared with that in sham group (all P<0.05). After administration of NaHS for 11 weeks, H2S in lung tissue increased significantly, whereas SPAP, plasma ET-1 and lung tissue ET-1 mRNA expression as well as pulmonary artery CTGF protein expression decreased significantly, respectively, in rats of shunt+NaHS group as compared with that in shunt group (all P<0.05).CONCLUSION: NaHS might be involved in the development of pulmonary hypertension induced by high pulmonary blood flow by down-regulating vasoactive peptides ET-1 and CTGF expressions in lung tissues of rats.  相似文献
