The changes in soil fertility under continuous plantation of Chinese fir were studied by comparing soil samples from different forest stands:the first and second plantations of Chinese fir,evergreen broad-leaved forests,and clear-cut and burnt Chinese fir land located at Xihou Village,Nanping of Fujian Province.The soils were humic red soil originated from weathered coarse granite of the Presinian system.Soil pH,CEC,base saturation ,exchangeable Ca^2 ,exchangeable Mg^2 and A1-P declined after continuous plantation of Chinese fir.The same trends were also found in the soils under broad-leaved stands and slash burnt lands.The explantation was that not merely the biological nature of the Chinese fir itself but the natural leaching of nutrients,soil erosion and nutrient losses due to clear cutting and slash burning of the preceduing plantation caused the soil deterioration .Only some of main soil nutrients decreased after continuous plantation of Chinese fir,depending on specific silvicultural system,which was different from the conclusions in some other reports which showed that all main nutrients,such as OM,total N,available P and available K decreased,Some neccessary step to make up for the lost base,to apply P fertilizer and to avoid buring on clear cut lands could be taken to prevent soil degradation and yield decline in the system of continuous plantation of Chinese fir.  相似文献

Prescribed burning is used in many fire-prone ecosystems for wildfire mitigation and conservation of biodiversity. However, there is limited information about how biota responds to long-term fire management, especially at a whole-of-community level. We studied community responses to different fire interval sequences resulting from planned and unplanned fires in Mediterranean-climate ecosystems in the Warren bioregion of south-west Western Australia (SWA) to determine the resilience of the biota to contrasting fire regimes. Fire history data were used to identify contrasting fire interval sequences in forest and shrubland communities for the period 1972-2004. We surveyed vascular plants, ants, beetles, vertebrates and macrofungi at 30 sites to investigate community-level responses to consecutive short (SS: ≤5 years), consecutive long (LL: ≥10 years), one very long (VL: 30 years), or mixed/moderate (M: 6-9 years) fire interval(s). All sites had a common time-since-fire of ∼4 years at the commencement of sampling which was conducted over two years. Species richness and composition differed between forest and shrubland communities, but the influence of fire interval sequences on taxonomic groups was minimal and difficult to detect. There was weak evidence of compositional differences between SS and LL/VL regimes for plants, ants, beetles and macrofungi but no difference between these regimes and the intermediate disturbance M-regime. These results demonstrate the resilience of the biota in open forests and shrublands of SWA to contrasting fire interval sequences over the past 30 years. We conclude that occasional short (3-5 years) intervals between fires are unlikely to have a persistent effect on community composition, though maintaining a regime of short or long intervals may alter species composition and/or abundance. We suggest that variability in fire intervals is important for long-term conservation of the biota. For the Warren Region, prescribed burning at an intermediate level of disturbance and incorporating variability in interval length is recommended to achieve the dual objectives of wildfire mitigation and biodiversity conservation.  相似文献

The loss of natural forest habitats due to forestry is the main reason for the decline in boreal forest biodiversity of the Nordic countries of Europe. Ecological rehabilitation may provide means to recover and sustain biodiversity. We analyzed the effects of controlled burning and dead-wood creation (DWC) on the diversity of pioneer wood-inhabiting fungi in managed Norway spruce (Picea abies) forests in southern Finland. Altogether 18 stands were first subjected to a partial cutting with ordinary logging residues in form of cut stumps and treetops left on site. The subsequent rehabilitation treatments consisted of a controlled burning applied in half of the stands and three levels of dead-wood creation (5, 30 and 60 m3 ha−1). The DWC involved creation of logs; felling of whole trees to mimic downed logs formed by natural disturbance processes. Each treatment was replicated three times. Inside each stand, substrates were sampled in two different biotopes; one on mineral soil and one on mineral soil with a thin peat layer. We surveyed the fungal flora on the logs (n = 364) and the ordinary residue stumps (n = 1767) and tops (n = 845) five years after the treatments.When comparing different stands, controlled burning had a significant effect on species composition; certain species were significantly more frequent on substrates in burned stands than in unburned stands, indicating that these species were favored by controlled burning. By contrast, we found no significant effects of DWC levels or biotope on species composition or richness. When comparing different substrates, 99% of the logs hosted at least one species and the occurrence probability of certain species was significantly higher on logs than on ordinary residue stumps and tops. Yet, volume-based rarefaction analyses showed that residues were more species dense than the logs, indicating that ordinary logging residues constitute important resources for many pioneer species.We conclude that controlled burning combined with DWC have strong effects on biodiversity; it modifies the composition of the pioneer wood-inhabiting fungal species found in managed forests and may thereby also influence the further succession and diversity of the secondary fungal flora.  相似文献

比较思茅松常规林和计划烧除林上坡、中坡和下坡3个坡位腐殖质层厚度、载量和有机碳储量,以及0~60cm层次土壤有机碳含量和储量,分析坡位在思茅松林计划烧除中对土壤有机碳储量的影响。实验数据表明:思茅松林3个坡位计划烧除后腐殖质层厚度、载量、有机碳储量均增加显著(P<0.05),分别增加了0.55cm,2.298t/hm2,1.466t/hm2;0~60cm层次各个相同坡位土壤平均有机碳含量和储量增加均极显著(P<0.01),增幅均为下坡>中坡>上坡,增加值分别为0.581,0.505,0.482;44.218,41.696,32.492t/hm2。这些实验数据说明计划烧除可增加森林土壤有机碳储量,选择下坡和中坡进行计划烧除可获得更好的固碳效率。  相似文献

以云南景谷县思茅松林为典型案例,从追求最大固碳效率为出发点,研究和评价计划烧除林和常规林2种森林管理模式林下各类可燃物含水率、载量、碳贮量和腐殖层厚度等。试验结果表明:经计划烧除后林下枯落物载量和细小可燃物载量跟常规林没有明显区别,且可燃物载量变化幅度相对稳定,但腐殖质层的高载量致使林下可燃物载量比常规林高2.92t.hm-2,平均碳贮量比常规林高1.943 t.hm-2,且腐殖层厚度比常规林厚0.526 cm,说明计划烧除可增加森林的固碳量,达到森林增汇效益。  相似文献

调查在农民田和缅甸山州农业试验农场山区进行,根据病害测报评价定期用药、播期、烧堆措施在马铃薯晚疫病综合防治中的效果。试验1的结果表明,在未施药的不同播期小区晚疫病严重,而施达克尼尔的小区病情明显轻。在试验2中,Wallin‘s测报系统准确地预测马铃薯晚疫病的初发生期,并建议开始施药。降雨量12.7mm时施药比每周定期施药更有效。不同施药处理比不施药的对照增产30.1%-62.2%。病害造成的产量损失23.1%-38.3%。烧堆措施对防治晚疫病无效,不过可增产39.2%。  相似文献

秸秆焚烧是全社会高度关注的环境问题,文章分析了当前秸秆禁烧与综合利用工作存在的管理、政策及技术等问题,提出了“区域统筹、乡为基础、收还结合、政策引导、市场运行”的秸秆全面禁烧与全量利用工作思路,并指出在技术上应着重围绕“区域控制、收还统筹、突破收集、开拓用途、创新机制”开展攻关与集成创新。此外,分析了乡 (镇) 域尺度上实施“区域统筹与整体推进”秸秆全量利用策略的效果。在江苏省泗洪县车门乡的实践证明:采用区域统筹、整体推进的策略,可有效实现区域内秸秆全量利用与全面禁烧的目标。  相似文献

为探讨多年连续计划烧除对云南松林坡面水土流失的影响,科学评价云南松林计划烧除后森林生态系统的服务功能,2019年在滇中新平县照壁山云南松林设置计划烧除区域和未烧除区域的径流小区,对降雨及产流产沙变化进行了定位观测,建立了降雨、径流和泥沙的数值关系,结果表明:(1)2019年研究区降雨量为568.6 mm,仅为多年平均降雨量939.79 mm的60.5%,降雨主要集中雨季5—10月,雨季降雨量占年降雨总量的73.8%。雨季降雨51场次,其中产流降雨28场,占雨季降雨总量的93.7%。(2)多年连续计划烧除增强了降雨转化为林地坡面径流的能力,且小雨量级最能凸显计划烧除促进林地坡面径流泥沙的产生。(3)计划烧除小区和未烧除小区的径流主要与降雨量显著相关,计划烧除小区的径流与降雨呈幂函数关系,未烧除小区的径流与降雨呈多项式关系。(4)计划烧除小区和未烧除小区的泥沙均与降雨量、径流量显著相关,且泥沙与降雨、径流的关系均呈幂函数形式。表明多年连续计划烧除改变林地水文特征,提高了降雨转化为林地坡面径流的能力,提高了径流挟带泥沙的能力,才使计划烧除林地的径流泥沙比未烧除林地多。  相似文献

Application of biochar to agricultural soils is effective to sequester atmospheric carbon and improve soil quality, but current pyrolysis and transportation costs are high, making biochar too costly to be used at the field scale. This study developed a new in-situ technique, burning and soil covering(B-SC), which can be used by farmers for production of biochar with crop residue. In this study,the air-dried feedstocks, elephant grass and corn residue, were burnt in situ for biochar production in the field. After approximately 90% of the leaves were combusted, the burning process was dramatically slowed down by covering the feedstock with soil. The biochar yield averaged 18.0 ± 1.3(n = 15) and 13.7 ± 1.3(n = 10) kg per 100 kg air-dried feedstock for the elephant grass and corn residue,respectively. The biochar properties were suitable for soil improvement. The inputs for biochar production of the B-SC process only included low labor force, open field, feedstock(e.g., grass and crop residue), and simple tools. The operation time for processing 10 kg of the corn residue by an individual farmer was 24.4 ± 4.1 min(n = 10). As compared with the conventional field burning process, the B-SC process drastically shortened the time for biomass burning and generated a significantly lower emission of smoke and thermal energy. This simple technique can be particularly practical and effective for farmers to improve the soils of poor quality in China.  相似文献
