旨在获得更多的雌激素类物质作为原料药来源,通过收集怀孕6个月的孕驴尿液,用DH100大孔吸附树脂提取尿液中的雌激素类物质分析其组成,并用提取物处理小鼠,以阴道开口率、子宫系数及阴道上皮细胞的角质化程度为判定指标进行药效评价试验。结果表明:尿液中存在雌激素类似物马烯雌酮,质量浓度为500μg/mL;利用提取物处理雌性小鼠,给药组小鼠均出现阴道开口提前和子宫质量增加,阴道上皮细胞角质化现象明显,表明提取物具有较强的活性。  相似文献

Objectives of this study were to determine occurrence of urinary tract infection and describe results of urine analysis and urine culture in dogs with experimentally induced hyperadrenocorticism. Dogs were randomly assigned to receive either hydrocortisone (nine dogs) or placebo (eight dogs) for 49 consecutive days. Before and on day 49 of treatment, evaluation of dogs included physical examination, abdominal ultrasound, urine culture, urinalysis, adrenal function testing, and measurement of urine protein and creatinine and activity of serum alkaline phosphatase. All dogs in the experimental group had clinical and laboratory findings of hyperadrenocorticism. Urine specific gravity was significantly decreased and urine protein-to-creatinine ratio was significantly increased in dogs with hyperadrenocorticism. Urinary tract infection did not occur in any dogs. We conclude that administration of hydrocortisone created a model of hyperadrenocorticism; however, urinary tract infection did not occur. Additional evaluation is needed to determine association between urinary tract infection and hyperadrenocorticism.  相似文献

Records of 13 dogs with systemic infection with Prototheca sp. from 3 veterinary teaching hospitals were reviewed. Acute renal failure secondary to disseminated infection with Prototheca zopfii was diagnosed in 2 dogs. In 1 dog, acute renal failure developed during administration of immunosuppressive drugs for treatment of anterior uveitis. During diagnostic evaluation of this dog, Prototheca sp. organisms were noted in urine sediment and renal biopsy specimens. In the 2nd dog, acute renal failure was diagnosed after treatment for bacterial cystitis. After diagnosis of protothecosis, organisms were successfully isolated by aerobic urine culture. Both dogs with acute renal failure did not respond to conventional medical therapy. In total, Prototheca sp. was noted in urine sediment in 4 of 8 dogs and successfully cultured from urine in 5 of 7 dogs. Four of 5 dogs had organisms noted in the kidneys on histopathologic examination. In all dogs, the species identified was P zopfii. Sensitivity testing of 3 isolates revealed wide differences in in vitro drug resistance. Examination and culture of urine is recommended as a practical method for diagnosis of systemic infection with Prototheca sp.  相似文献

Nitrous oxide emitted from urine patches is a key source of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions. A better understanding of the complex soil environmental and biochemical regulation of urine-N transformations in wet soils is needed to predict N2O emissions from grazing and also to develop targeted mitigation technologies. Soil aeration, gas diffusion and drainage are key factors regulating N transformations and are affected by compaction during grazing. To understand how soil compaction from animal treading influences N transformations of urine in wet soils, we applied pressures of 0, 220 and 400 kPa to repacked soil cores, followed by 15N-labeled synthetic urine, and then subjected the cores to three successive saturation–drainage cycles on tension tables from 0 to 10 kPa.Compaction had a relatively small effect on soil bulk density (increasing from 0.81 to 0.88 Mg m−3), but strongly affected the pore size distribution. Compaction reduced both total soil porosity and macroporosity. It also affected the pore size distribution, principally by decreasing the proportion of 30–60 μm and 60–100 μm pores and increasing the proportion of micropores (<30 μm).Rates of urine-N transformations, emissions of N2 and N2O, and the N2O to N2 ratio were affected by the saturation/drainage cycles and degree of compaction. During the first saturation–drainage cycle, production of both N2O and N2 was low (<0.4 mg N m−2 h−1), probably because of anaerobic conditions inhibiting nitrification. In the second saturation/drainage cycle, the predominant product was N2 at all compaction rates. By the third cycle, with increasing availability of mineral-N substrates, N2O was the dominant product in the uncompacted (max = 4.70 mg N m−2 h−1) and 220 kPa compacted soils (max = 7.65 mg N m−2 h−1) with lower amounts of N2 produced, while N2 was produced in similar quantities to N2O (max = 3.11 mg N m−2 h−1) in the 400 kPa compacted soil. Reduced macroporosity in the most compacted soil contributed to more sustained N2 and N2O production as the soils drained. In addition, compaction affected the rate of change of soil pH and DOC, both of which affected the N2O to N2 ratio.Denitrification during drainage and re-saturation may make a large contribution to soil N2O emissions. Improving soil drainage and adopting grazing management practices that avoid soil compaction while increasing macroporosity will reduce total N2O and N2 emissions.  相似文献

Modern pig production contributes to many environmental problems that relate to manure, especially in areas with highly intensive production systems and in regions like Asia where the regulative control is not effective. Therefore, the objective of this study was to use three different pig diets varying in dietary protein, fibre and fat as representative for Danish (DK), Thai (TH) and Vietnamese (VN) pig production to develop and evaluate different approaches to predict/calculate excretion from growing pigs in comparison with the experimentally determined values. Nine female growing pigs were used in a digestibility and balance experiment. Excretion of dry matter (DM), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and carbon (C) of the experimental diets were determined. Due to the highest dietary fibre content, VN had the lowest digestibility of N, P and C (73, 49, and 73%, respectively) compared with the DK and TH pig diets. From the known diet composition using standard table values on chemical and nutrient digestibly, high accuracy (bias) and low variation was found and the results could be used for prediction on chemical composition and excretion in faeces and urine in growing pigs. Calculation based on standard values regarding nutrient retention in the pig body as used in the Danish manure normative system (DMNS) showed likewise to be quite useful for quantifying the total excretion of N and P. Overall, the results demonstrate that simple models that require cheap and normally available information on dietary nutrients can give useful information on nutrient excretion in growing pigs.  相似文献

Thiocyanate levels were determined in serum and urine samples obtained from a human population sample of healthy non-smoking volunteers (aged between 14 and 30 years) of both sexes known to eat gari-based meals at least once a day. The samples were collected before and 3–4 hours after a gari- or rice-based meal. The values obtained before the test meals showed a wide variation, ranging between 39.20±1.95 to 160.95±8.06 µmol/l of serum, and 81.92±9.78 to 294.01±14.70 µmol/l of urine. For each volunteer, the serum and urine thiocyanate were affected by the test meals. Average increases of 18 and 20% were observed for serum and urine thiocyanate, respectively, following a gari-based meal. A rice-based meal produced, on the average, 10% decrease in both serum and urine thiocyanate. No significant effect of sex or age on the thiocyanate levels was observed. The gari samples used in the study, as well as random samples from the locality of study, had no detectable thiocyanate but contained between 0.013 and 0.015 mg cyanide per kg of gari. These findings indicate that conversion to thiocyanate is a significant pathway in the metabolism of HCN and contributes significantly to thiocyanate found in body fluids and tissues of man. In addition, support is provided for the possible involvement of the sulphurtransferases in the process of cyanide detoxication.  相似文献
