Polyphenolic compounds and antioxidant properties in mango fruits

Fruit of eight mango genotypes were evaluated for antioxidant potential by several biochemical assays (DPPH, ABTS, ORAC, FRAP, SASR and MCC) and tested for their polyphenol composition and vitamin C contents. The significance analysis demonstrated that the antioxidant capacity of Tainong 1 fruits were significantly higher than that of other genotypes, which was about 2.1–6.3-fold higher than Guifei assayed in ABTS, DPPH, ORAC and FRAP methods. The total polyphenols and flavonoids contents showed a great variety amongst mango genotypes and highly correlation with the total antioxidant capacity. It is concluded that significant genotypic difference exists in the total antioxidant capacity of mango fruits. Both total polyphenols and flavonoids are major contributors to the total antioxidant capacity in mango fruit.     

Marine Antimicrobial Peptide TP4 Exerts Anticancer Effects on Human Synovial Sarcoma Cells via Calcium Overload,Reactive Oxygen Species Production and Mitochondrial Hyperpolarization

Synovial sarcoma is a rare but aggressive soft-tissue sarcoma associated with translocation t(X;18). Metastasis occurs in approximately 50% of all patients, and curative outcomes are difficult to achieve in this group. Since the efficacies of current therapeutic approaches for metastatic synovial sarcoma remain limited, new therapeutic agents are urgently needed. Tilapia piscidin 4 (TP4), a marine antimicrobial peptide, is known to exhibit multiple biological functions, including anti-bacterial, wound-healing, immunomodulatory, and anticancer activities. In the present study, we assessed the anticancer activity of TP4 in human synovial sarcoma cells and determined the underlying mechanisms. We first demonstrated that TP4 can induce necrotic cell death in human synovial sarcoma AsKa-SS and SW982 cells lines. In addition, we saw that TP4 initiates reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and downregulates antioxidant proteins, such as uncoupling protein-2, superoxide dismutase (SOD)-1, and SOD-2. Moreover, TP4-induced mitochondrial hyperpolarization is followed by elevation of mitochondrial ROS. Calcium overload is also triggered by TP4, and cell death can be attenuated by a necrosis inhibitor, ROS scavenger or calcium chelator. In our experiments, TP4 displayed strong anticancer activity in human synovial sarcoma cells by disrupting oxidative status, promoting mitochondrial hyperpolarization and causing calcium overload.     

长潭水库水体沉积物营养盐分布特征及其污染评价

探究长潭水库库区沉积物中碳(C)、氮(N)、磷(P)含量特征及其污染状况,可为区域水环境质量提升提供理论依据。研究于2021年9月在水库中心区及8条入库支流断面设置28个采样点,对表层沉积物中的总有机碳(TOC)、总氮(TN)、总磷(TP)含量进行测定,并采用单因子指数法、综合污染指数法和有机污染指数法对库区污染状况进行了评价。结果表明：库区表层沉积物中TOC,TN和TP含量分别为(13.67±3.81) g/kg,(1.46±0.37) g/kg,(0.43±0.17) g/kg;其中,以柔极溪(RJR)含量较高,其TOC含量显著高于库中心区与其余入库支流(p<0.05)。表层沉积物中C/N,C/P,N/P比值范围分别为7.72～15.07,15.28～63.20,1.66～6.26。由单因子指数法和综合污染指数法分析可知,整个库区水体沉积物TN污染严重,基本属于重度污染;有机氮评价结果进一步表明库区整体处于Ⅲ级污染水平(尚清洁),其中以库中心区和RJR污染较重,存在有机氮污染(等级为Ⅳ级)。长潭水库存在一定的内源污染,且以有机污染为主。未来应加强库区水体沉积物营养盐含量动态的...     

茶叶对糖尿病的预防作用及其机理研究进展

随着人们生活水平的提高和饮食结构的变化,糖尿病的患病呈流行趋势,发病率逐年上升,预防和治疗糖尿病成为热门话题。现代科学证明茶叶作为健康饮品的同时对人体健康具有多方面的保健功效。本文回顾了茶叶在糖尿病预防方面已取得研究进展,综述了茶叶与糖尿病预防的相关流行病学和人体临床研究结果,并对茶叶预防糖尿病的机制进行了梳理。     

水库网箱养鱼与水环境保护关系的研究

通过连续2年进行不投铒网箱养鱼试验，并每2个月对网箱养殖区及上、下游进行水体理化监测，结果表明，网箱养鱼能改善水体透明度，降低BOD5、CODMn含量，并对降低TP也有一定作用。     

限制性氨基酸对生长山羊血清胰岛素和总蛋白的影响

选用3只浏阳生长黑山羊(10.00±0.15kg),测定各种氨基酸在山羊小肠表观消化率,依据肌肉氨基酸模式计算限制性氨基酸的灌注量。试验表明,生长山羊在实用日粮条件下需灌注Met,0.77g/d;Lys,0.91g/d;Leu,0.58g/d。在此基础上,选用12只浏阳生长黑山羊(10.00±0.23kg)按随机区组设计接受氨基酸混合液(对照组)以及分别减去3种氨基酸(Met、Lys和Leu)的灌注液(试验组)。试验表明,减Met组与减Lys组血清胰岛素显著低于对照组(P<0.05),三处理组间及减Leu组和对照组间血清胰岛素浓度差异不显著(P>0.05)。减少Met、Lys、Leu的灌注对血清总蛋白没有影响(P>0.05)。     

锡山地区河网入贡湖污染负荷计算

由于经济的高速发展,锡山地区产生大量污水排入河网,使得河网水环境不断恶化，进而对贡湖水质变化产生影响。通过建立适合锡山地区河网流态的水量水质模型，计算分析了该地区河网污染物（TP）排入贡湖的时间和空间变化规律。同时论证了望虞河对这种变化的贡献，为提高引江济太工程效益提供技术支撑。     

Application of Mobile IP in VPN

VPN is a technology that realizes the security transmission of private information through the public network. As one of key technologies, tunnel technology resolves the mobility problem of mobile nodes. Firstly, L2TP and IPSec have been compared based on these two tunnel principles introduction of VPN. Secondly the advantages of IPSec in security have been introduced. Then, the problems of mobile host and two models of tunnel in VPN have been introduced. Lastly, the advantages of utilizing the mobile IP to resolve the problem of mobile host have been analyzed, and this technology has been compared with VPDN.
