Tree-crop interactions were monitored by measuring tree growth characters of Prosopis cineraria L. and Tecomella undulata L. and yields of Vigna radiata (L) in agroforestry systems in degraded lands of Indian Desert. Potential competition for resource between the trees and
associated crop was analyzed by measuring soil water contents, soil organic matters and NH4-N at different depths of soil layers i.e., 0–25 cm, 25–50 cm and 50–75 cm in the experimental plots. The plots size were
16 m × 18 m (D1), 20 m × 18 m (D2) and 32 m × 18 m (D3) with tree densities of 208, 138 and 104 trees·ha−1 after June 2002, respectively. Results showed that tree height increased by 3% to 7% during June 2002 to June 2004. Collar
diameter increased by 30% and 11% in D1, 23% and 19% in D2 and 18% and 36% in D3 plots, respectively, in P. cineraria and T. undulata in two years period. The increase in crown diameter was 9% to 18% in P. cineraria and 11% to 16% in T. undulata. Tree growth was relatively greater in 2002 than in 2003. Yield of V. radiata increased linearly from D1 to D3 plots. Lowest soil water content at 1 m distance from tree base indicated greater utilization of soil water within the tree
rooting zone. Concentrations of soil organic matters and NH4-N were the highest (p<0.05) in 0–25 cm soil layer. P. cineraria was more beneficial than T. undulata in improving soil conditions and increasing crop yield by 11.1% and thus more suitable for its integration in agricultural
land. The yield of agricultural crop increased when density of tree species was appropriate (i.e., optimum tree density),
though it varied with tree size and depended upon resource availability. The result indicated bio-economic benefits of optimum
density of P. cineraria and T. undulata over traditional practices of maintaining random trees in farming system in arid zones.

以大兴安岭地区1985年一类森林资源连续清查资料和1987年林火资料为数据基础,结合GIS技术,进行大兴安岭1987年林火碳释放及火后净初级生产力(NPP,net primary productivity)恢复的研究.通过对1987年火烧迹地林火发生前各树种的生物量的估算,得出在1987年林火中大兴安岭林区森林释放的碳量约为1.97×10~6~2.47×10~6 t;同时分别比较火烧中各树种的碳释放量和不同火烧等级下的碳释放量.结果表明:落叶松在1987年林火中释放碳量约0.96×10~6~1.19×10~6 t,占碳释放总量的49%左右;重度火灾中碳释放量占总碳释放量的99.4%.火后乔木层的NPP恢复在21年间成逐渐增加的趋势,并且恢复趋势表明在火后23~24年的时候中度火灾后的乔木层NPP可达到未过火林地的水平. 相似文献

Biomass and net primary productivity (NPP) are two important parameters in determining ecosystem carbon pool and carbon sequestration. The biomass storage and NPP in desert shrubland of Artemisia ordosica on Ordos Plateau were investigated with method of harvesting standard size shrub in the growing season (June-October) of 2006. Results indicated that above- and belowground biomass of the same size shrubs showed no significant variation in the growing season (p〉0.1), but annual biomass varied significantly (p〈 0.01). In the A. ordosica community, shrub biomass storage was 699.76-1246.40 g.m^-2 and annual aboveground NPP was 224.09 g-m^-2·a^-1. An overview of southern African research that has investigated the impact of management practices that can potentially affect the long-term site productivity of plantations is presented, with an emphasis of these impacts on soil productivity and with the implications for multiple-rotation site productivity. Activities that are most likely to cause long-term changes in soil productivity are identified as those causing high site disturbance during the inter-rotation period, notably ground-based mechanised operations and harvest residue management (including complete biomass removal) and, under some conditions, fertilisation. The impacts of these practices on soil and stand productivity are discussed from a southern African perspective. Knowledge gaps are identified and it is suggested that the immediate research priority is to identify meaningful indicators that are sensitive to change and that can be linked to stand production. 放牧是最主要的草地利用模式,直接或间接地影响草地物质循环和能量流动,放牧强度对草地的健康状况和演替方向起决定作用。本文基于40篇内蒙古草原放牧相关文献数据,通过meta分析探讨温带草原对放牧强度的响应特征。结果表明,与未放牧草地相比,轻度放牧草地对群落植物地上、地下生物量和土壤全氮和全磷含量无显著影响,而土壤有机碳、微生物生物量碳、细菌和真菌数量分别显著上升3.60%、7.80%、11.40%和10.83%(P<0.05);中度放牧下群落植物地下生物量和土壤微生物数量无显著变化,而地上生物量和土壤有机碳、全氮、全磷和微生物生物量氮含量分别显著降低21.62%、4.44%、2.15%、8.35%和6.76%(P<0.05);重度放牧下群落植物地上和地下生物量,土壤有机碳、全氮、全磷、微生物生物量碳含量,细菌和放线菌数量分别显著下降39.72%、16.30%、7.62%、6.46%、8.03%、8.76%、12.92%和18.27%(P<0.05)。以上结果表明轻度放牧有利于土壤肥力和草地生产力的保持和提升,而当放牧干扰超出一定的限度时,草地各项功能均显著下降而发生退化。本研究可为内蒙古温带草原的合理利用和适应性管理提供理论基础。 相似文献

采用15N同位素稀释方法,开展短期(7天)室内培养实验,估算了一水稻土0~20、20~60和60~90 cm土层土壤主要N素转化过程的总转化速率,结果表明,标记N溶液加入后2 h内各土层土壤的总矿化、硝化、固定速率显著高于其他时间段(p<0.01)。2 h后,矿化速率在小范围内起伏。0~20 cm土层土壤N素的硝化速率随培养时间延长而降低,另外两层土壤则基本保持稳定,硝化速率的变化与硝化作用底物NH4+-N浓度的变化呈显著正相关。值得注意的是,外源无机N溶液加入后2 h内,大量NH4+-N和NO3--N被固定,并认为N素的非生物固定起主导作用。2 h后,出现了N素在固定与再矿化间反复转换的现象。实验结果表明,与净转化速率相比总转化速率能更好地描述单个N素转化过程,但由于外源N加入对N素转化的影响、再矿化作用以及忽略了N素转化过程中的气体损失、DNRA(硝态氮异化还原为铵)过程等,本研究结果与真实值间存在一定差异。 相似文献
