Content-aware Load Balancing Strategy in Web Cluster System

The capacity problem of web server can be solved by web cluster technology. The key point is load balancing strategy and algorithm. Traditional slrategies are effective to some kinds of web sites, but not suitable for all. The paper analyses the load characters of different kind of web sites. A content-aware web cluster load balancing strategy and algorithm is proposed. The efficiency will be evaluated through emulation experiments.     

Seasonal effects on birth weight of lambs born to prolific ewes maintained under intensive management

Seasonal effects on birth weight (BWT) of lambs were studied in a prolific Assaf flock maintained under intensive management conditions with birth records of 7775 lambs distributed across all months in a period of 11 years. The average BWT was 4.21 kg. Month of the year had a significant (P < 0.001) effect on BWT, with the highest average BWT in April (4.6 kg) and the lowest average BWT in September (3.8 kg). The seasonal effect was noted for single lambs and lambs born in litters of 2 to 4 lambs. Gestation length, day length, rate of change in day length and heat load had significant (P < 0.001) effects on BWT. Day length during the early stage of gestation was inversely related to BWT while rate of changes in day length during the latter stages of gestation were directly associated with BWT.

路面结构的动荷载效应及对反分析结果的影响

采用有限元方法分析路面结构的动、静荷载作用响应，并与弹性层状体系理论分析结果比较，表明路面结构的动、静荷载反应有明显的差别。路基不同深度处存在刚性下卧层时，考虑静荷载作用的分析结果有显著的差别，而考虑动荷载作用的分析结果差别不大。在利用动态弯沉盆数据进行路面结构模量反分析时，如忽视动荷载的影响，则反算结果误差很大，甚至不可信。如果按照动力学模型进行路面结构反分析，结果可基本不受下卧层的影响。
