The effect of braid construction parameters on yarn cross-sectional shape is presented in this paper. The location of the yarn within the braid unit cell is quantified by a compaction factor. A range of braided fabrics were produced and optically measured for actual yarn cross-sectional shape. A comparison of the theoretical and experimental values shows good correlation. Design curves can be produced with the developed model to allow selection of appropriate braid process parameter to create yarns with desired cross-sectional geometries.  相似文献

In present work, PET FDY has been used to blend with diacetate filaments by air texturing process and core-and-effect air-textured yarns have been produced. The influences of both over-feeds of core and effect components on properties of textured yarns were mainly examined. It was observed that a spun-like effect of diacetate filaments occurred during air texturing and there were a little amount of free fiber ends besides loops on blended air textured yarns, while the number of free fiber ends changed little with variation in over-feeds. The tenacity of textured yarns decreased with increase in over-feeds of effect or core component. The breaking elongation increased with increase in over-feed of effect component, but decreased with increase in over-feed of core component. The yarn stability improves when both over-feeds are increased. The effect of over-feeds on boiling water shrinkage shows no clear trend. The core and average diameters are higher at high over-feed of effect component, but the over-feed of core component exhibits little effect on yarn diameters. The number and size of loops are increase with increased over-feed of effect component.  相似文献

本文通过对不同混纺比下的麻涤混纺纱的性能测试分析得出:涤纶比例必须达到一定量(40%)后,混纺纱的断裂伸长率才能随着涤纶比列的提高而逐渐改善;随着混纺比的改变,在涤纶含量为50%左右,混纺纱的断裂强力将出现一个低谷;随着涤纶含量的增加,毛羽和条干指标得以改善。  相似文献

The ring spinning process has been used to produce fine and high quality staple fibre yarns. The stability of the rotating yarn loop (i.e. balloon) between the yarn-guide and the traveller-ring is crucial to the success and economics of this process. Balloon control rings are used to contain the yarn-loop, by reducing the yarn tension and decreasing the balloon flutter instability. Flutter instability here refers to the uncontrolled changes in a ballooning yarn under dynamic forces, including the air drag. Due to the significant variation in the length and radius of the balloon during the bobbin filling process, the optimal location for the balloon control ring is not easily determined. In order to address this difficulty, this study investigates the variation in the radius of a free balloon and examines the effect of balloon control rings of various diameters at different locations on yarn tension and balloon flutter stability. The results indicate that the maximum radius of a free balloon and its corresponding position depend not only on the yarn-length to balloon-height ratio, but also on yarn type and count. A control ring of suitable radius and position can significantly reduce yarn tension and decrease flutter instability of free single-loop balloons. While the balloon control rings are usually fixed to, and move in sinc with, the ring frame, results reported in this study suggest that theoretically, a balloon control ring that always remains approximately half way between the yarn-guide and the ring rail during spinning can lead to significant reduction in yarn tension.  相似文献

This paper provides preliminary results on the relative performance of the adaptive neuro-fuzzy system inference (ANFIS) model versus linear multiple regression method, when applied to the use of cotton fiber properties to predict spun yarn strength obtained from open-end rotor spinning. Fiber properties and yarn count are used as inputs to train the two models and the output (dependent variable) would be the count-strength-product (CSP) of the yarn. The predictive performances of the two models are estimated and compared. We found that the ANFIS has a better average prediction successful in comparison with linear multiple regression model.  相似文献

Murata vortex spinning system is based on the air jet spinning system. The vast majority of previous works deal with the properties of vortex spun (VS) yarn and the spinning system. In this study, we investigated knitted fabrics from VS yarn in comparison with fabrics from ring (RS), compact (CS) and open-end rotor (OES) spun yarns made from viscose. The effect of yarn spinning system on dimensional and physical properties of knitted fabrics was explained with specific attention to fabrics from VS yarn. Shrinkage of fabrics from VS yarn has the lowest at widthwise direction, while having the highest at lengthwise direction. It is shown that the order of fabric spirality and twist liveliness for yarns from different spinning systems are quite similar. However, relation between loop shape factor and angle of spirality is inconsistent. Angle of spirality of fabrics from VS yarn is higher than fabrics from OES yarn, but lower than that of others. The bursting strength of fabrics from VS yarn is lower than that of those from RS and CS yarns and higher than that of those from OES yarn. From this study, it is also evident that fabrics from VS yarn have the lowest pilling tendency and highest resistance to abrasion.  相似文献

Spacer fabrics have been used in many areas varying from medical applications to protection applications. Especially the three dimensional characteristic of spacer fabrics presents different opportunities for special applications. The compression resistant characteristic of spacer fabrics is one of their main properties. In this research the compression behaviour of spacer fabrics designed for concrete applications has been investigated. The effects of some parameters such as spacer yarn material, pattern and threading on the compression behaviour of spacer fabrics have been studied. According to the test results it was found that the material, pattern and the threading of spacer yarns are important parameters for the compression characteristics of spacer fabrics. It was also observed that the location angle of spacer yarn and the amount of the spacer yarns influence the compression behaviour of spacer fabrics.  相似文献
