Eremophilane-Type Sesquiterpenes from a Marine-Derived Fungus Penicillium Copticola with Antitumor and Neuroprotective Activities

Chemical examination of a marine sponge-associated Penicillium copticola fungus resulted in the isolation of ten undescribed eremophilanes, namely copteremophilanes A–J (1–10), along with two new glycosides, 5-glycopenostatin F (11) and 5-glucopenostatin I (12). Their structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic data, in association with ECD data and chemical conversions for configurational assignments. Analogs 1, 2, and 10 represent a group of uncommon skeletons of eremophilanes with an aromatic ring and a methyl migration from C-5 to C-9, and analogs 11 and 12 are characteristic of a PKS scaffold bearing a glucose unit. The incorporation of a chlorinated phenylacetic unit in 3–9 is rarely found in nature. Analog 7 showed neuroprotective effect, whereas 8 exhibited selective inhibition against human non-small cell lung cancer cells (A549). This study enriched the chemical diversity of eremophilanes and extended their bioactivities to neuroprotection.     

Complexing the Marine Sesquiterpene Euplotin C by Means of Cyclodextrin-Based Nanosponges: A Preliminary Investigation

Euplotin C is a sesquiterpene of marine origin endowed with significant anti-microbial and anti-tumor properties. Despite the promising functional profile, its progress as a novel drug candidate has failed so far, due to its scarce solubility and poor stability in aqueous media, such as biological fluids. Therefore, overcoming these limits is an intriguing challenge for the scientific community. In this work, we synthesized β-cyclodextrin-based nanosponges and investigated their use as colloidal carriers for stably complex euplotin C. Results obtained proved the ability of the carrier to include the natural compound, showing remarkable values of both loading efficiency and capacity. Moreover, it also allowed us to preserve the chemical structure of the loaded compound, which was recovered unaltered once extracted from the complex. Therefore, the use of β-cyclodextrin-based nanosponges represents a viable option to vehiculate euplotin C, thus opening up its possible use as pharmacologically active compound.     

Potentially Beneficial Effects on Healthy Aging by Supplementation of the EPA-Rich Microalgae Phaeodactylum tricornutum or Its Supernatant—A Randomized Controlled Pilot Trial in Elderly Individuals

Dietary supplements that promote healthy aging are mostly warranted in an aging society. Because of age-related risks, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative agents such as microalgae are potential candidates for intervention. In a randomized controlled trial, we tested Phaeodactylum tricornutum (PT), a microalgae rich in eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), carotenoids, vitamins, and β-glucans, cultured in bioreactors. In this pilot trial, 19 healthy elderly received supplements for two weeks based on either the whole PT (A), the β-1,3-glucan-rich PT supernatant (SupB), the combination thereof (A+SupB), or a Comparator product (Comp). The primary outcome variable plasma interleukin-6 was reduced after treatment with A+SupB compared to the Comp group (p = 0.04). The mobility parameters 5 s sit-to-stand test (p = 0.04 in the A group) and by trend gait speed (p = 0.08 in the A+SupB diet) were improved compared to Comp. No treatment effects were observed for fatty acids, compared to Comp but omega-6 to -3 fatty acid ratio (p = 0.006) and arachidonic acid/EPA ratio (p = 0.006) were reduced within group A+SupB. Further, the SupB study product reduced faecal zonulin (p = 0.03) compared to the Comp. The data revealed an anti-inflammatory and potentially anti-oxidative effect of particular PT preparations, suggesting that they might be suitable for effects in healthy elderly.     

我国主要麦区农户施肥评价及减肥潜力分析

【目的】明确我国主要麦区农户小麦施肥存在的问题及减肥潜力,为科学施肥、合理减肥提供依据。【方法】连续3年对我国主要麦区的小麦种植户进行施肥调研和取样,基于农户产量、养分需求量和土壤养分供应水平对其施肥状况和减肥潜力进行评价和分析。【结果】我国主要麦区农户小麦产量和生物量平均为6.0和13.2 t·hm^-2,二者极显著线性相关。小麦产量与施肥量和土壤养分无显著相关。我国小麦氮(N)、磷(P₂O₅)和钾(K₂O)肥用量平均分别为191.1、112.8和53.4 kg·hm^-2,春麦区农户氮、磷和钾肥用量平均分别为171.7、108.9和10.6 kg·hm^-2,旱作区分别为154.3、111.8和32.6 kg·hm^-2,麦玉区分别为236.4、128.1和74.0 kg·hm^-2,稻麦区分别为177.5、77.0和71.8 kg·hm^-2。就施氮量而言,春麦区过量施氮的农户较少,为34%,其次...

氮磷配施对旱地春小麦水分利用效率及水肥交互作用的影响

通过盆栽和多年田间定位试验,系统研究了旱地春小麦水肥交互效应和氮磷配施对土壤水分有效利用、作物蒸腾和水分利用效率的影响.结果表明,盆栽试验中水肥交互作用增产效果明显,水、肥利用效率分别提高124%和28.6%.在本试验水平下,水肥单位用量的产量互补效益为471.5∶7.0,即水肥主次效应的转换阈值为17.4%.当水分合量为19.7%,总施肥量为247.4 kg/hm2时(N:P2O3=1∶0.75),最高收入达4 970.0元/hm2.小麦收获时,施肥使0～200 cm土层有效水分利用率从44.9%提高到54.2%.N60P45、N120P90和N180P135处理较对照,蒸腾分别增加22.7、38.0和47.8 mm,蒸傲比值分别提高0.04、0.07和0.08,较对照籽粒蒸腾效率分别提高0.08、0.24和0.14 g/kg.氪磷配施提高了土壤有效水分的利用、作物的蒸腾效率和水分利用效率,提高作物的经济产量.因此,合理施肥是提高作物水分利用效率和农业生产水平的重要措施.     

内蒙古河套灌区春小麦高效用水灌溉制度研究

本文以2006年内蒙古河套灌区沙壕渠试验站—春小麦的灌溉试验资料,应用FAO-56双作物系数法计算了不同试验处理的春小麦的实际需水量,研究了需水量与产量,与水分利用效率的关系,并用水分利用效率最大为原则确定了春小麦各种处理的高效用水灌溉制度。     

区域LUCC的土壤侵蚀响应研究——以榆林市为例

借助3S技术,采用美国通用的水土流失方程(USLE),对榆林市1987,1999年和2002年的土壤水力侵蚀、生态系统土壤保持情况进行测算,在此基础上,基于G IS平台按不同区域对测算结果进行汇总。研究表明:单位面积各类生态系统保土功能排序是园地>林地>灌木林地>草地。降雨的年际变化和地形的空间差异是单位面积生态系统土壤保持量年际变化和空间差异的主导因素。1987,1999,2002年全市各类生态系统土壤保持总量分别是2.22×108t,1.96×108t和2.07×108t。研究期间(1987-2002年),全市生态系统土壤保持效率不断提高,但存在空间差异:1987,1999年南6县生态系统土壤保持总量、保持效率显著高于北6县,而2002年北6县略高于南6县;且整个研究期间北6县生态系统土壤保持效率提高显著,而南6县变化小且2002年略有下降;相对于北6县而言,南6县实际对进一步提高土壤保持效率的制约较大。     

光照、营养钵及磷肥用量对西瓜幼苗素质的影响

对不同光照、营养钵、磷肥用量对西瓜幼苗素质的影响进行试验,结果表明,本试验条件下,在2/3光照、8cm营养钵育苗、磷酸二铵用量0.5 kg/m~3的条件下,才能培育壮苗,经济效益较高。     

气调保鲜袋对香蕉采后品质及生理生化的影响

以天宝香蕉为试材,研究了贮藏温度、气调保鲜袋厚度和乙烯吸收剂用量对保鲜效果的影响,结果表明,采用25℃＋0．015mm气调保鲜袋＋乙烯吸收剂（其用量为果实鲜重的0．8％）处理的香蕉保鲜效果最佳,腐烂率低,色泽风味好,与对照（25℃＋PE保鲜袋＋乙烯吸收剂）相比,可延迟果实后熟软化,延缓果实乙烯释放量和呼吸强度的增加速度,并抑制果皮细胞膜透性和过氧化酶（POD）活性,从而延长香蕉的贮藏期。、
