Determination of an Optimum Scheme forBolting Unstable Rocks on a Rock Slope

Using basic principles of stereographic projection,block theory and rock mechanics,this paper tries to find a simple and easy method for determination of an optimum scheme for bolting unstable rocks on a rock slope in design of slope engineering.finally, examination and analysis is made of the completed project for bolting the unstable,high and steep rock slope on the campus of Chongqing University.     

Development of Block Manufacture with Own Characters

The hard course of wall reform by gradual cancel of clay brick in China is retraced and the problems in housings from small concrete hollow blocks at early age are pointed out, such as 'bad thermal performance, cracking and permeability' etc. The way for development of block manufacture with own characters is suggested, that is, multi-hole concrete hollow block with module of clay brick produced by centrifugal technology of molding. Preliminary tests show that in respect of the strength, thermal performance and even technology, the block is better than the clay brick.     

Novel Image-adaptive Watermarking Algorithm

Digital watermarking is an effective method to provide copyright protection for digital media. A blind image- adaptive watermarking algorithm based on DCT domain is presented. The algorithm selects adaptively the step size of quantization to embed the watermark bits by modifying DC components via the human visual system model and local characteristics of image; at the same time some AC components of the blocks with less perceptual capacity are also modified to embed the same watermark bits by using quantization. Thus the relation between robustness and imperceptibility can be well balanced. The algorithm recovers the watermark without any reference to the original image. Compared with the similar algorithm reported in the literature, this method can give better image quality and is better robust against noise and commonly used image processing techniques.     

Third-degree atrioventricular block in 21 cats (1997-2004)

The effect of 3rd-degree atrioventricular block on long-term outcome in cats is unknown. Clinical findings and long-term outcome of 21 cats with 3rd-degree atrioventricular block were studied retrospectively. Median age of cats studied was 14 years (range 7-19 years). Presenting signs included respiratory distress or collapse, but 6 cats had no clinical signs of disease. Eight cats had congestive heart failure (CHF) at the time that 3rd-degree atrioventricular block was detected. Heart rates ranged from 80 to 140 beats per minute (bpm; median 120 bpm) with no difference in heart rate between cats with and those without CHF. Eleven of 18 cats that had echocardiograms had structural cardiac disease, and 6 cats had cardiac changes consistent with concurrent systemic disease. No atrioventricular nodal lesions were detected by echocardiography. One cat had atrioventricular nodal lesions detected on histologic examination. Median survival of 14 cats that died or were euthanized was 386 days (range 1-2,013 days). Survival did not differ between cats with or without CHF or between cats with or without structural cardiac disease. Thirteen cats with 3rd-degree atrioventricular block survived > 1 year after diagnosis, regardless of presenting signs or underlying cardiac disease. Third-degree heart block in cats is often not immediately life threatening. Survival was not affected by the presence of underlying heart disease or congestive heart failure at the time of presentation. Even cats with collapse might survive > 1 year without pacemaker implantation.

介绍了LXA双锥真空回转干燥器的结构和工作原理,指出了该设备在实际使用过程中存在物料中落入异物的问题;详细分析了物料中落入异物问题产生的原因所在。同时,详细阐述了解决存在问题时所进行的结构改进设计过程以及改进后所达到的良好效果。     

大学英语教学中学生心理障碍调查分析

通过问卷调查法,对大学英语教学中学生心理障碍的主要类型进行了分析,探究了自卑心理、畏难心理、厌学心理、急于求成心理等造成英语学习困难现象的心理机制及深层原因：错误的语言习得认识;挫败感的持续强化;错误方法的持续强化;缺少化解渠道。提出了排解学生英语学习心理障碍的措施：夯实基础,恢复学生的自信心;因材施教,调动学生的主动性;改进教学方法,营造积极的学习氛围等,以寻找解决英语学习困难这一问题的新途径。     

Aqueous misdirection and ciliary block (malignant) glaucoma after cataract removal in a llama

Ciliary block (malignant) glaucoma is caused by the posterior flow of aqueous humor into or behind the vitreous. It is a rare complication of anterior segment surgery in humans. This is a report of ciliary block glaucoma occurring as a postoperative complication of cataract surgery in a llama. Medical management was ineffective in lowering intraocular pressure (IOP). Posterior capsulotomy and anterior hyaloid disruption with a 22-gauge needle, in addition to medical management maintained IOP in the normal range until anterior vitrectomy could be performed. After vitrectomy, glaucoma resolved and medical treatment was no longer necessary.     

添加苜蓿草块对不同品种肉牛育肥效果的影响

在相同环境条件下,试验在三种苜蓿草块添加量下对不同品种肉用牛进行五期的育肥效果研究.通过测定不同品种的体重、日增重及粗饲料采食量,来比较不同品种肉牛增重效果试验结果表明:在精粗比下降的情况下,添加苜蓿草块能起到提高日增重的效应与不添加相比,荷斯坦牛组表现差异极显著(P<0.01),新褐杂牛组前后差异显著(PO.05).苜蓿草块的添加在本试验营养水平与体重下,新褐杂组、荷斯坦组、安杂组各组适宜的添加量分别为1.2kg、1.2kg、O.5kg.结合农区养牛的现状及生产力水平在低精粗比的情况下,肉牛应该首先考虑使用本地优良品种.
