Annual sex hormonal profiles, gonad development and age determination of the Mekong giant catfish (Pangasianodon gigas, Chevey)

Annual sex hormonal profiles, gonad development and age determination of 18 (13–14 kg body weight) and three (145–226 kg body weight) Mekong giant catfish (MGC) (Pangasianodon gigas, Chevey) reared in earthen ponds in Chiang Mai and from the Mekong River in Chiang Rai, Thailand, respectively, were investigated. The hormonal profiles were determined from blood samples of the fish by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay during May to August in 2000. The highest testosterone levels of 0.06 ng mL^?1 in both sexes and the highest oestradiol of 47.8 and 14.23 pg mL^?1 in females and males, respectively, were observed in May. The gonadosomatic index was found to be 0.07 for males and 0.38 for females from ponds in comparison with 2.27 for males and 8.29 for females from the Mekong River. Higher development stages of spermatocytes and oocytes of the cultured fish in May than in February and November were demonstrated. No mature germ cells were obtained from either the males or females, indicating no sexual maturity. The average age of fish was determined from the annual rings of the cross‐section of the pectoral fins by a stereomicroscope. The average age of fish in earthen pond determined from the annual ring was 8 years, which agreed with the actual culture records, while those from the Mekong River were 21 years. This information will be beneficial for the breeding programmes and conservation of the MGC.

小麦远缘杂交后代节燕98-2分离类型贮藏蛋白的研究

采用A-PAGE和SDS-PAGE聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳方法,对远缘组合分离出来的节燕98-2类型入选11个遗传性基本稳定的具有高产、多抗的小麦株系的醇溶蛋白和高分子量谷蛋白亚基进行了分析.结果表明,在A-PAGE电泳分析中,11个供试株系具有11种不同的醇溶蛋白带型.在SDS-FAGE电泳分析中,出现了7种不同的高分子量谷蛋白亚基(HMW-GS)及6种亚基组合类型,优质亚基及亚基组合所占的比例较少,品质评分偏低,其变幅为5～8分,平均为6.36分.但在所分析的材料中,出现了一个少见的特殊亚基:2 10 12.并研究了这些HMW-GS和组合频率及特点.11个株系中7个具有45 10优质亚基和2个具有2*亚基,它们可供小麦优质育种利用.研究表明,通过远缘杂交能够选育出具有高产、抗病和优质的小麦新材料.     

牦牛不同年龄段的屠宰测定

通过对天然放牧条件下0.5～5.5岁各个年龄段牦牛的屠宰测定,得到最好的屠宰指标为:2.5岁时屠宰率为59.14%;3.5岁时净肉率为41.5%,胴体产肉率为76.35%,骨肉比为1∶3.77。     

Patterns of silver eel (Anguilla anguilla L.) sex ratio in a catchment

Abstract –  Changes in the numbers and size-class structure of European silver eels, Anguilla anguilla , in the River Frémur (France) were examined over a 9-year period after installation of downstream eel passes. The number of silver eels migrating downstream peaked in 1999, then decreased strongly and steadily after 2000, reaching relatively low levels. At the same time, a gradual shift in the silver eel sex ratio from a dominance of males (size from 270 to 442 mm, age from 3 to 6 years) to females (size from 366 to 1112 mm, age from 4 to 9 years) was recorded. Possible explanations for the escapement patterns observed are environmental sex determination and the installation of eel passes on the main hydraulic engineering structures in 1992 and 1996.     

不同干燥失水方式对云南温带优良牧草营养品质的影响研究

采用迅速烘干、太阳晒干和缓慢烘干3种处理对云南温带21个牧草品种的鲜草进行干燥处理,分别测定干草的营养成分。结果表明:以干草的粗蛋白含量为指标,干燥方法以迅速烘干为佳,其次是太阳晒干,最差是缓慢烘干;从干草的粗脂肪考虑,其变化无规律,因牧草品种的不同而不同;其余指标变化不大。     

多胺在果实生长发育中的作用研究进展

多胺是广泛存在于植物体内的具有生物学活性的低分子量脂肪族含氮碱。它在植物的胚胎发育、花和果实的发育等生长发育过程具有重要的调控作用,同时在延缓植物衰老和抗逆境等方面也具有重要意义。近几年的研究表明多胺代谢同植物开花坐果、果实发育甚至果实品质特性密切相关。概述了多胺对果实坐果,膨大与衰老等果实发育生理过程的影响,并对多胺在果实逆境发育中的作用进行了探讨,对多胺在果实发育过程中可能的调控作用机理以及外源多胺在植物开花坐果上的应用潜力进行了讨论,并展望了多胺作用分子机理的研究前景。     

施肥和灌溉对蔬菜品质影响的研究进展

综述了蔬菜品质的内涵及施肥、灌溉对蔬菜品质影响的研究进展。综合前人研究结果可以看出,适量增加施肥量通常可改善蔬菜商品品质,并可提高蔬菜产品中蛋白质、游离氨基酸、有机酸等营养物质指标的含量,但过量施肥则常导致总糖、可溶性糖、抗坏血酸等营养成分含量的降低,并可导致卫生品质及风味品质的降低。合理灌溉可以有效提高蔬菜各种品质指标,但对于许多果菜类而言,适当控制浇水量则有利于营养品质的提高。通常情况下,施肥与灌溉对蔬菜产品品质的影响结果受土壤基础肥力、肥料种类及其配比、蔬菜种类、产品成熟度等因素的影响较大。
