Genetic analysis of rolled leaf is important to rice ideotype breeding. To detect loci controlling rolled leaf of japonica restorer lines, SSR marker genotypes and phenotypes of flag leaf rolling index (LRI) were investigated in Xiushui 79 (P1, a japonica rice variety), C Bao (P2, a japonica restorer line) and 254 recombinant inbred lines derived from the cross between P1 and P2 , and in two environments. A genetic map of this cross was constructed, QTLs for LRI were detected and their interactions with environments were analyzed. Among 818 pairs of SSR primers, 90 primers showed polymorphism between P1 and P2, and 12 markers showed highly significant correlation with LRI in both environments based on single marker regression analysis. The genetic map containing 74 information loci has a total distance of 744.6 cM, with an average of 10.1 cM between two adjacent loci. Three QTLs (qRL-1, qRL-7 and qRL-8-1) were detected with two softwares: WinQTLCart 2.5 and QTLNetwork2.0. qRL-8-1 was a new locus, accounting for 15.5% and 12.8% of phenotypic variations in the two environments, respectively. The phenotypic variation explained by additive effect was 6.6%. No interaction was found between qRL-8-1 genotype and environments.  相似文献

All the reports to date on the anti-inflammatory activity of chitooligosaccharides (COS) are mostly based on in vitro methods. In this work, the anti-inflammatory activity of two COS mixtures is characterized in vivo (using balb/c mice), following the carrageenan-induced paw edema method. This is a widely accepted animal model of acute inflammation to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect of drugs. Our data suggest that COS possess anti-inflammatory activity, which is dependent on dose and, at higher doses, also on the molecular weight. A single dose of 500 mg/kg b.w. weight may be suitable to treat acute inflammation cases; however, further studies are needed to ascertain the effect upon longer inflammation periods as well as studies upon the bioavailability of these compounds.  相似文献

Itwill be affected by an accelerating globalisation andliberalisation of agricultural production and trade.This seems to give the big multinational chains afree hand for a unilateral optimization of economicprogress, facilitated by technological progress andrapidly transferable knowledge. The increasinghowever, leads to a balanced strategy, in which notonly economy (profit) but also ecology (planet) andthe norms and values of technology and societyto be a generally new three dimensional frameworkfor further development in all branches' of industry,including agriculture. It will have big consequencesfor operating and that goes for the Dutch agricultur-al sector too. The cotton aphid (Aphis gossypii) is one of the major pests of okra. Eleven okra varieties collected from farmers' fields in Cameroon and four aphid-resistant accessions from The World Vegetable Center (AVRDC, Asian Vegetable Research and Development Center) were evaluated from October 2012 to March 2013, and another seven aphid-resistant accessions from AVRDC were evaluated from March to July 2013 at AVRDC's Nkolbisson station, Yaoundé, Cameroon. Accessions selected from these trials were screened in an advanced confirmatory screening in autumn (October–December) 2013 in Shanhua, Taiwan. Results showed that none of the farmers' landraces were resistant to aphids. Two accessions (VI041210 and VI033824) with the lowest aphid populations had the highest trichome density. Analysis of various phytochemicals in selected okra accessions revealed that higher nitrogen and potassium levels made the okra accessions susceptible to aphids during the reproductive stage of the plants. Similarly, the total phenol content was lower in moderately resistant accessions during their reproductive stage. Aphid feeding induced an increase in phenols, and to a lesser extent, tannins. Accessions VI041210 and VI033824 could be incorporated into an integrated pest management strategy to enhance productivity of okra.  相似文献
