A 5‐year‐old spayed female diabetic mixed‐breed dog underwent phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation to correct bilateral hypermature cataracts. Two months postsurgery, the patient presented with ulcerative keratitis and multifocal stromal abscessation OD, which was controlled, but never resolved, with topical fluoroquinolone therapy. The patient re‐presented 2 months later with a new, raised, white gritty corneal opacity associated with hyperemia, chemosis, and blepharospasm OD. Cytology of the right cornea revealed filamentous bacteria, suggestive of Actinomyces spp. Actinomyces bowdenii was subsequently isolated in pure culture and identified via 16s rDNA sequencing. Actinomyces bowdenii has never before been described as a cause of ocular infection. An immunosuppressed corneal environment likely contributed to this opportunistic Actinomycosis. The infection was not controlled with fluoroquinolone therapy, and the isolate, in vitro, was resistant to three fluoroquinolones (ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, and levofloxacin), which also has not been previously reported for this species of Actinomyces. A superficial keratectomy with conjunctival graft was employed to successfully manage the infection. 相似文献

During the winter time in Finland, sunlight is inadequate for vitamin D synthesis. Many pet rabbits live as house rabbits with limited outdoor access even during summer and may therefore be dependent on dietary sources of vitamin D. The aims of this study were to report the serum 25‐hydroxyvitamin D concentrations in Finnish pet rabbits and to identify factors that influence vitamin D status. Serum 25‐hydroxyvitamin D concentrations from 140 pet rabbits were determined using a vitamin D enzyme immunoassay (EIA) kit. Eleven rabbits were excluded from the statistical analysis because of unclear dietary data. The remaining 129 rabbits were divided into groups depending on outdoor access during summer (no access n = 26, periodic n = 57, regular n = 46) as well as daily diet: little or no hay and commercial rabbit food ≤1/2 dl (n = 12); a lot of hay and no commercial food daily (n = 23); a lot of hay and commercial food <1 dl (n = 59); a lot of hay and commercial food ≥1 dl (n = 35). The range of serum 25‐hydroxyvitamin D concentration was from 4.5 to 67.5 ng/ml with a mean of 26.1 ng/ml. Statistical general linear model adjusted for weight, age and season indicated that diet was associated with vitamin D concentrations (p = 0.001), but outdoor access during summer was not (p = 0.41). Mean 25‐hydroxyvitamin D concentration was significantly higher in the rabbits receiving a lot of hay and commercial food ≥1 dl (33.9 ± 13.2 ng/ml) than in rabbits in other diet groups (24.0 ± 8.5 ng/ml, 21.7 ± 8.1 ng/ml, and 22.2 ± 18.0 ng/ml, respectively). This investigation showed wide variation in 25‐hydroxyvitamin D concentrations among Finnish pet rabbits. Diet remains a main source since outdoor access seems to be too limited to provide adequate vitamin D synthesis for most of them, and the use of vitamin D supplements is rare. 相似文献

为研究不同剂量25羟基维生素D3[25(OH)VD3]对断奶前犊牛血液水平、抗氧化能力和免疫功能的影响,选取18 头健康状况良好的新生荷斯坦犊牛,随机分成3 组,每组6 头进行为期56 天的饲养试验。分为对照组[不添加25(OH)VD3]、低剂量组[25(OH)VD3添加量6 000 IU/头·天]和高剂量组[25(OH)VD3添加量12 000 IU/头·天]。结果表明,与对照组相比,随着25(OH)VD3添加剂量增加,血浆生长激素、胰岛素样生长因子-1、过氧化氢酶、超氧化物歧化酶、总抗氧化能力以及免疫球蛋白G(IgG)含量显著增加(P<0.05),而丙二醛含量随剂量增加而存在降低趋势(P=0.079)。与对照组和低剂量组相比,高剂量组血浆免疫球蛋白A(IgA)含量有增加趋势(P=0.059)。综上所述,断奶前犊牛饲喂高剂量25(OH)VD3有利于促进体内生长激素和胰岛素样生长因子-1分泌,可提高犊牛抗氧化能力,增强免疫功能。 相似文献

6头健康成年荷斯坦乳牛被随机均分为2组。试验组牛第1周每头口服β-胡萝卜素23.0g,以后每周每头口服11.5g,对照组不做任何处理。试验期共8周。结果表明,试验组乳牛血清钙及无机磷水平呈下降趋势;血清维生素D3活性代谢产物25-OH-D3和1,25-(OH)2-D3均呈现明显下降;至第5周末,血液β-胡萝卜素水平最高,25-OH-D3水平下降非常明显。据此认为,乳牛对β-胡萝卜素的吸收存在一阈值,大剂量的β-胡萝卜素进入机体,可能直接干扰维生素D3的羟化,使其活性代谢产物呈下降趋势,但由于吸收阈值的存在,其对维生素D3和骨骼钙磷代谢的干扰作用可得到一定程度的减缓。 相似文献

为筛选25%氟吡菌胺·吡唑醚菌酯(fluopicolide·pyraclostrobin)水分散粒剂的配方并明确其田间防治马铃薯晚疫病的效果,本文在选定氟吡菌胺与吡唑醚菌酯的最佳混配比例的基础上,通过“干法”加工工艺筛选出25%氟吡菌胺·吡唑醚菌酯水分散粒剂的优化配方,并制备了达到应用标准的试验样品,开展了该样品田间防治马铃薯晚疫病的药效试验.结果表明,以Terwet1004、Tersperse 2700、Morwet D425、尿素、超细煅烧高岭土等为配方助剂,加工出的25%氟吡菌胺·吡唑醚菌酯水分散粒剂样品崩解迅速,悬浮率高于90%,热贮稳定性合格;在喷施剂量(按有效成分)为480、360、288 g/hm2时,对马铃薯晚疫病的田间防效分别为93.96%、92.31%、89.04%.25%氟吡菌胺·吡唑醚菌酯水分散粒剂可有效防治马铃薯晚疫病,具有较好的应用价值. 相似文献

The effects of field aging (0–28 days) and pheromone loading rate on the longevity of red rubber septa loaded with the sex
pheromone blend of the oriental fruit mothGrapholita molesta (Busck), were evaluated in North Carolina apple orchards in 2002. Separate field tests examined the influence of trap height
and pheromone loading rate of rubber septa on trap catches of adultG. molesta males in an abandoned orchard. The loss of the major pheromone component, (Z)-8-dodecenyl acetate (Z8–12:OAc), from red rubber
septa over a 4-week period exhibited a relatively constant release rate with 30, 100 and 300 μg pheromone. Trap catch was
significantly higher in pheromone traps placed in the upper canopy than in those in the lower canopy. Pheromone traps baited
with 100μg lures caught more moths compared with those loaded with 300 μg. There was no apparent relationship between pheromone
trap catch and septa age, with trap catch appearing to be primarily a function ofG. molesta population density.

Abstract The effects of combining the Bray 1 extracting solution with ammonium chloride (NH4C1) for simultaneous extraction of P and K were studied in several experiments. For pooled data from the experiments in which the Bray 1 solution containing 0.5 mol L‐1 NH4C1 was used, the relationship between the amounts of P and K extracted by the combined solution (PC and KC)and the amounts extracted separately by Bray 1 (PR) and 1 N neutral NH4OAc (KR) are given by PC = 2 + 0.906 PR, r = 0.988 and Kc = 14 + 1.033 KR, r = 0.944. With the analytical tool, Frankfurt Harvested Wood Products Model, FPM, the carbon stocks and carbon stock changes of Harvested
Wood Products, HWP, either in USE or in LANDFILLS L-F, have been evaluated, each separately, from the readily available statistical
data base of the FAO, FAOSTAT, on the wood commodities: “Sawnwood and Wood-based Panels, SWP” and the paper commodities, “Paper
and Paperboard, PAP”. The focus was on the newly founded Asia-Pacific Partnership countries for Clean Development and Climate
(in short AP6), including Canada, which wants to join the AP6, in relation to the countries of the European Union EU-25. It
could be shown that the stocks and stock changes of the HWP in USE follow a simple algorithm of the annual consumption or
production and their mean annual growth, for the categories SWP and PAP, provided the mean residence times of the HWP in USE
can be estimated. With the information on the fraction of residues entering the landfills and their estimated residence times
an equivalent simple expression has been derived for stocks and stock changes of the HWP in LANDFILLS L-F. Their values have
been calculated to be approximately 0.5 to 0.7 times smaller than those of the HWP in USE. Still, all stock changes of the
HWP in L-F were positive and thus accumulating carbon. However, when methane outgasing within the HWP in L-F had been considered,
the calculated Greenhouse Gas Balance was zero or negative under the estimated parameters thus to at least partly compensate
the positive storage of carbon in HWP in USE. The percentage of CO2 removed by the HWP in USE in comparison to the annual greenhouse gas emissions varied from 0.3 to 1.7%, with a mean value
of 0.8% for the AP6 countries including Canada, in contrast to 1.0% of the EU-25 countries. Despite of the relative small
magnitude in relation to the total emission of all GHG this contribution should not be neglected in the GHG Budget of a country. 相似文献
