Enlightenment from Chaos Theory for Urban Planning: Seeking Order out of Chaos

As a new discipline, Chaos theory was ushered in the revolution in physics of the 20th century, which is of jistoric significance. Chaos theory is concerned with the objects in our tangible world (macro world) with the measure of human beings. In this paper, a brief analysis of chaos theory and fractals is given and then the enlightenment and new perspective for urban planning from chaos and chaos theory are illustrated. The author hopes that!this paper could draw the concerns of designers regarding the application of chaos in urban planning.     

A Land Use Model for Urban Rail Station Area Planning Based on TOD Strategy

Transit oriented development (TOD) presents a sustainable urban development strategy by creating an efficient integration of land use and public transit. A TOD planning model for the land use of urban rail station area was explored by means of a multiple objective mathematical programming model. Three objectives were considered: encouraging transit system volume, promoting livable communities, and balancing land use. The model can easily be solved by transforming it into a linear multi programming problem. The Xujiahui rail rapid transit station area in Shanghai is chosen as case study to illustrate the model application and planning results. The result indicates that the model would be efficient in practice.

In urban design, only by continuous and dynamic research work from design to finally putting it into practice, can we made good control on city appearance. This article analyzes nowadays defects in our urban design from two aspects as the result establishment and validated control, and tries to conceive a feasibility plan to solve the problem.

The Public Participation in the Urban Planning

The policy of public participation in urban planning was first practiced in Europe in the 1960s. After 40 years of development, the policy has become the essential step of city planning in Western countries where as is just at the elementary step in China. For the purpose of knowing the situation about the policy performing in local cities and discussing the feasibility of public participation in urban planning, several kinds of investigation have been done. From the investigation, it is found that although the public participation has already been the important step of urban planning in some city during just several years,there are still many problems. This paper shows a panorama view of this issue. Th describe the future of public participation in e authors will offer some solutions according to the problems and the urban planning.     

蚌埠市绿地土壤几种化学指标的异质性分析

本研究测定了蚌埠市建成区内大型景观绿地土壤的有机质含量、铵态氮含量、速效磷含量、pH和土壤全盐量。在分析了各指标变异系数后发现在不同绿地类型之间绿地土壤化学指标均表现出中等程度的变异。相关分析表明不同绿地类型土壤中除pH值与全盐量间存在显著的相关性外,5种土壤化学指标间没有显著相关性。说明即使在较小的城市建成区范围内,不同类型的绿地土壤由于土壤产生及来源不同,以及受到的人为干扰强度不一样,土壤化学指标也存在空间异质性。     

收入对中国城镇居民奶类消费的影响分析

本文在总结现阶段城镇居民奶类消费特点的基础上,研究了收入对城镇居民奶类消费的影响。研究结果表明,收入是影响城镇居民奶类消费的主要因素,随着收入的增加,城镇居民奶类消费逐步增长;同时,奶类消费支出随着人均可支配收入的增加而增加;在动物性食物中,奶类是需求收入弹性最高的食品。
