The application of organic fertilizers in soils not only increases soil organic matter but also introduces essential nutrients to soil. Therefore, applying these fertilizers can affect the availability and desorption characteristics of nutrients. The main objective of this research is to study the effects of cow manure (CM) and vermicompost (VC) on availability and desorption characteristics of zinc (Zn) in a loamy calcareous soil. In this study, concentration of available Zn (using DTPA-TEA, AB-DTPA, and Mehlich 3) and desorption characteristics of Zn (using successive extraction with DTPA-TEA For 1–504 h at 25 ± 1°C) in amended soil with 0, 0.5, and 1% (w/w) of CM and VC were investigated in a completely randomized design. Results of this research showed that concentration of Zn extracted by using three methods was higher in amended soils with 1% CM and VC than those with 0.5% of these fertilizers. Furthermore, the difference between concentration of available Zn in amended soils with CM and VC was not found to be significant (p > 0.05). The results of kinetics study illustrated that the effect of organic fertilizers on Zn desorbed after 504 h was found to be significant (p < 0.01). Amount of cumulative of Zn desorbed in amended soils was significantly (p < 0.05) higher than unamended soil. Concentration of Zn desorbed after 504 h in 0.5 and 1% of CM and VC compared with unamended soil increased 26, 54, 12, and 46%, respectively. In addition, Zn desorption rate in amended soils with CM was higher than those with VC. It can be concluded that organic fertilizers applied to loamy calcareous soils enhance source of available Zn for the plant. Moreover, the results of this study showed that the ability of amended soils with VC to supplying Zn for plants was lower than those with CM.  相似文献

Food and fodder shortage in arid and semi‐arid regions force farmers to use marginal quality water for meeting the water requirement of crops which result in low quality, reduced production and an adverse impact on soil properties. A field study on loamy‐sand (Hyperthermic Typic Ustipsamments) saline soil was conducted during 1999–2001 at Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes, Hisar. This involved assessment of effects of conjunctive use of saline water, EC = 4·6–7·4 dSm−1, SAR = 14–22 ((mmol−1)½ with good quality water on five fodder crop rotations: oat‐sorghum (Avena sativa‐Sorghum bicolor), rye grass–sorghum (Loleum rigidumSorghum bicolor), Egyptian clover—sorghum (Trifoleum alexandrinumSorghum bicolor), Persian clover—sorghum (Trifoleum resupinatumSorghum bicolor) and Indian clover–sorghum (Melilotus indicaSorghum bicolor) and certain soil properties associated with it. Leguminous winter fodder crops were more sensitive to poor quality water use. Reductions in fodder yield with use of saline water alone throughout season were 85, 68, 54, 42, 36 and 26 per cent in Indian clover, Egyptian clover, Persian clover, oat, rye grass and sorghum respectively as compared to good quality water. Leguminous fodder crops produced protein rich (12–14 per cent) and low fibre (18–20 per cent) fodder as compared to poor quality grassy fodder under good quality water irrigation but their quality deteriorated when saline water was used. These leguminous crops accumulated proportionately higher Na+ (1·58 per cent) resulting in adverse impact on their growth as compared to grassy fodder crops. Higher soil salinity (12·2 dSm−1), SAR = 20 (mmol−1)½ was recorded with saline water irrigation; and slight adverse impact was noticed on infiltration rate and contents of water dispersible clay. 通过批平衡试验,研究茶多酚、铜和体系pH对可变电荷土壤释放钙镁离子的影响。研究发现,铜离子初始浓度为2.0mmol/L,最终体系pH为5.0时,随着茶多酚添加量的增加,可变电荷土壤表面的负电荷增加,土壤表面释放的钙镁离子量减少。茶多酚初始添加量为20 g/kg,最终体系pH为5.0时,随着铜离子初始浓度的升高,可变电荷土壤对铜离子的吸附量增加,铜离子通过与钙镁离子发生离子交换,形成对吸附位点的竞争,从而增加钙镁离子的释放。茶多酚初始添加量为20 g/kg,铜离子浓度为2.0 mmol/L,随着pH的升高,可变电荷土壤钙镁离子释放量下降。在相同pH条件下,茶多酚可以通过自身的吸附增加可变电荷土壤表面负电荷,减少可变电荷土壤钙镁离子的释放量。研究结果可为茶园土壤酸化和污染控制提供参考。  相似文献

通过对土壤质地分析表明,延边地区大部分苹果梨园土壤为壤质粘土。相关分析表明,土壤有机质、碱解氮、速效磷、速效钾与土壤砂粒呈极显著负相关,与土壤粉粒和粘粒呈显著或极显著正相关。  相似文献

通过砂壤土人工土槽试验,对探地雷达技术在土壤剖面特征探测和土壤含水量测定方面的应用展开了研究。结果表明:通过对雷达图像的合理处理和解译,可以很好地获取土壤中异常体的位置特征信息;分析雷达波在土壤中传播速度的变化,明确基于探地雷达的土壤剖面平均含水量测定方法的适用性和准确性。为探地雷达技术在土壤学领域的应用提供了依据。  相似文献

Summary Mineral N concentrations ranged from 133.1 to 167.8 g g-1 dry soil in fresh casts of the endogeic earthworm Pontoscolex corethrurus fed on an Amazonian Ultisol; this was approximately five times the concentration in non-ingested soil. Most of this N was in the form of NH inf4 sup+ . N also accumulated in microbial biomass, which increased from a control value of 10.5–11.3 to 67.5–74.1 g g-1 in fresh casts. During a 16-day incubation, part of the NH inf4 sup+ -N was nitrified and/or transferred to the microbial biomass. Total labile N (i.e., mineral+biomas N) decreased sharply at first (ca. 50% in the first 12 h), and then more slowly. The exact fate of this N (microbial metabolites, denitrification, or volatilization) is not known. After 16 days, the overall N content of the casts was still 28% higher than that of the control soil. Incubation of the soil before ingestion by the earthworms significantly increased the production of NH inf4 sup+ in casts. We calculate that in a humid tropical pasture, 50–100 kg mineral N may be produced annually in earthworm casts. Part of this N may be conserved in the compact structure of the cast where the cast is not in close contact with plant roots.  相似文献

Biochar was prepared using a low temperature pyrolysis method from nine plant materials including non‐leguminous straw from canola, wheat, corn, rice and rice hull and leguminous straw from soybean, peanut, faba bean and mung bean. Soil pH increased during incubation of the soil with all nine biochar samples added at 10 g/kg. The biochar from legume materials resulted in greater increases in soil pH than from non‐legume materials. The addition of biochar also increased exchangeable base cations, effective cation exchange capacity, and base saturation, whereas soil exchangeable Al and exchangeable acidity decreased as expected. The liming effects of the biochar samples on soil acidity correlated with alkalinity with a close linear correlation between soil pH and biochar alkalinity (R2 = 0.95). Therefore, biochar alkalinity is a key factor in controlling the liming effect on acid soils. The incorporation of biochar from crop residues, especially from leguminous plants, can both correct soil acidity and improve soil fertility.  相似文献
