Abstract

Proteins and carbohydrates in developing rice panicles were analyzed to see whether these parameters control spikelet number in rice. Two rice cultivars and 2 levels of nitrogen topdressing were used to obtain panicles with different numbers of spikelets. A japonica rice cultivar, Nipponbare, with topdressing (H) had 1.8 times more spikelets per panicle than that without topdressing (L). Moreover, the number of spikelets per panicle in an indica rice cultivar, Takanari, without topdressing was 2.7 times larger than that in Nipponbare-L. Panicles with more spikelets (LP) in Nipponbare-H and Takanari-L showed slower growth than those with few spikelets (SP) in Nippanbare-L in an early stage. LP, however, increased markedly in size thereafter, eventually exceeding SP, in length and fresh weight. Soluble protein content was higher in LP than SP in an early stage, but this difference was hardly detected in a late stage. No clear difference was observed in sugars or starch between LP and SP. Analysis of soluble and insoluble proteins by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis showed that bands corresponding to insoluble proteins with a molecular weight about 42 kDa were present at higher intensities in LP than in SP. These results suggest that the spikelet number in rice is controlled by the soluble protein content in an early stage and insoluble proteins with a molecular weight of 42 kDa during panicle development, but not by the carbohydrates in developing panicles.  相似文献

Abstract

We examined the possible benefit of rational site-specific crop management practices in 17 paddy fields located in an area of 2.0 ha for the prevalence of precision agriculture methods on a cooperatively managed large-scale farm in Sakurai, Nara Japan. Data on grain yield, soil physicochemical properties and farmer's crop management practices were collected in each paddy field. Unhulled rice yield was estimated at a resolution of 5m ? 5m in an area of 1.2 ha using a yield-monitoring combine. The spatial distribution of the variations for the collected data was characterized using geostatistical procedures. The kriged map of the unhulled rice yield drawn from the results of geostatistical analysis indicated the potential value of rational site-specific crop management using the yield-monitoring combine. The ratio of spatially structured variation to the total variation of brown rice yield, that is, the controllable proportion to total variation, was 75.4%. Each yield component i.e., the number of spikelets per square meter, filled-spikelet percentage and 1000-grain weight contributed 33.7%, 54.7% and 11.6%, respectively, to brown rice yield. These three yield components combined contributed to 96.5% of the brown rice yield variation. The agronomic factors (soil fertility factor, early growth factor, N dressing and uptake factor) contributed 79.7%, 52.1% and 41.8%, respectively, to the variation of these three yield components. Therefore these agronomic factors accounted for 58.1% of the total variation of the brown rice yield and 77.1% (i.e. 58.1% out of 75.4%) of the spatially structured variation of the brown rice yield. This controllable proportion may be a criterion for the prevalence of site-specific crop management in large-scale farm management in general, although only one case study was conducted.  相似文献

Abstract

The effects of nitrogen (N) application (32, 72 and 112 kg N ha-1 in 2000, and 32, 92 and 152 kg N ha-1 in 2001) and water-saving irrigation and their interaction on grain yield and yield components of the rice cultivar Champa-Kamphiroozi, which is a local cultivar in a semi-arid area in the south of Islamic Republic (I.R.) of Iran, were investigated. The plants were cultivated under sprinkler irrigation (1.0 ETp and 1.5 ETp), intermittent flooding (1-day and 2-day intervals) and continuous flooding (control). The experiments were conducted on a clay loam-clay soil under a semi-arid environment using four replications in a split plot design with irrigation method as main plots and N levels as subplots. The results indicated that intermittent flooding irrigation at 2-day intervals was as effective as continuous flooding for grain yield, showing high water-use efficiency (WUE). The soil moisture tension in the root zone before each irrigation under this condition was –300 to –400 cm. Sprinkler irrigation and intermittent flooding increased WUE by 20 to 60%, compared with continuous flooding, and the increase in N application rate to 112-152 kg ha-1 increased grain yield under any irrigation condition. Under sprinkler irrigation, grain yield was low and percentage of unfilled grain was high, although WUE was high. However, by adopting sprinkler irrigation, the amount of nitrogen fertilizer application necessary for cultivation was reduced. Furthermore, when nitrogen application must be limited due to groundwater pollution, the amount of nitrogen fertilizer necessary for cultivation can be reduced.  相似文献

采用小区对比试验方法,探讨了氮肥不同施入量对水稻新品种富友33生育及产量的影响。结果表明,增加氮肥施入量,可促进富友33单位面积收获穗数、齐穗期叶面积指数与剑叶净光合速率、成熟期干物质积累量的增加;不利于其成穗率、齐穗期高效叶面积率与有效叶面积率、齐穗后干物质积累量占籽粒产量百分比以及收获指数的提高。在本试验条件下,施氮量(N)240.0 kg/hm2的处理E3获得单产9.22 t/hm2,比E4、E2、E5、E1处理分别增产了0.2%、3.1%、3.4%和7.3%。  相似文献

Arginine (ARG) exerts many beneficial effects on animal body and enhanced angiogenesis, lactogenesis, which finally leads to the improvement in nitrogen (N) metabolism, reproduction, lactation, immunity and growth. Unfortunately, unprotected ARG will be degraded in the rumen and its price is high, thus feeding rumen-protected ARG seems to be uneconomical. Alternatively, N-carbamoyl glutamate (NCG) is structural analogue of N-acetyl glutamate, cofactor of cabamoyl phosphate synthetasel, is lower in rumen degradation compared to ARG. Additionally, rumen epithelial and duodenal cells have potentially utilized the NCG for ureagenesis. Supplementation of NCG to high yielding dairy cows increased plasma concentration of ARG and nitric oxide, decreased the plasma ammonia N and improved lactation performance and N utilization. Supplementation of NCG enhanced pregnancy rates in rats, improved litter size and fetal survival rate, thereby improved the reproductive performance of sows. Oral NCG supplementation increases plasma ARG and somatotropin levels, and increased growth rate and muscle protein synthesis in nursing piglets. The NCG is potential a relatively cheaper source of feed additive to offer vital compensation over oral administration of ARG, resulting in improved ruminant animal health and production. In this article, we reviewed the mechanism of AfiG biosynthesis by NCG and their significance in growth, reproduction, milk production and N utilization in ruminant animals.  相似文献

[目的]探讨苏畜研2号多花黑麦草在盐城地区的最佳播种量和施氮水平.[方法]以江苏省农科院选育的多花黑麦草苏畜研2号为对象,在盐城地区种植,研究不同施氮量和播种量等对其生育期的影响.[结果]播种量和施氮水平对苏畜研2号的出苗期、分蘖期、拔节期、抽穗期及孕穗期等物候期有明显的提前作用,但对籽实成熟期的影响不显著.不同播种量和施氮水平对植株分蘖数、株高有明显影响,但对生殖枝数作用不明显.N 150.0 kg/hm2、播种量1.5 g/m2的组合可使苏畜研2号多花黑麦草在盐城地区获得较佳的生产水平.[结论]该研究为苏畜研2号多花黑麦草在江苏省内的优质高产以及应用推广工作提供依据.  相似文献

禾本科作物开花后是产量形成的最主要时期。水稻抽穗至成熟期的物质积累量占产量的50%~90%,开花后叶片量和质动态变化在很大程度上又决定于开花后氮素的吸收和分配。花后氮素的吸收与运转还与氮素的生理效率密切相关。作物生长模拟技术在描述作物生长发育和生理生态动态过程和作物管理决策方面取得显著的成效。该研究就作物花后氮素吸收与分配的生理生态、氮素吸收与分配的动态模拟以及开花后氮素吸收、转移与籽粒蛋白质含量遥感监测的关系等方面的研究进行了综述。  相似文献

[目的]为了使秸秆还田达到最终增产.[方法]开展了2个年度秸秆还田与不同基追比氮肥施用对比试验.[结果]在秸秆还田的情况下,当施纯氮210 kg/hm2,基追比5:5时增产效果最显著,施纯氮180 kg/hm2时基追比以7∶3较好.当纯氮180 kg/hm2全部做底肥时,在6个处理中产量最低.[结论]研究结果为33°N附近小麦产区制定合理的秸秆还田高产施肥方案提供了参考.  相似文献
