基于Google Earth/GPS技术的海上安全救助系统综合应用

采用Orbcomm的低轨数据卫星通信技术,开发了点对点数据、短信双向透明卫星数据通讯机,通过运用.NET技术辅以Google Earth建立了海上安全救助管理信息系统,海上安全救助系统由卫星数据通信模块、GPS定位模块、嵌入式子系统和互联网模块组成,该系统有效提供了远洋船舶指挥调度、应急通信、灾情信息快速上报和共享等服务。     

移动通讯在农产品市场信息服务中的应用

不断成熟的移动通讯技术加速了我国农业信息化的发展,促进了农产品市场信息服务。通过对我国农产品市场信息服务现状、组织和技术模式的探讨,提出了采用移动通讯技术解决农产品市场信息获取和信息服务的方法。     

A Primer on Agricultural Communications for Student,Librarians and Researchers

ABSTRACT

Libraries have often played a major role in preserving our agricultural heritage. Many special libraries have helped to assemble the agricultural literature, much of which is in formats traditionally difficult to collect and maintain, particularly those of agricultural significance. This paper presents a brief overview of the changing nature of agricultural communications and how units within special libraries, such as the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Agricultural Communications Documentation Center (ACDC), play an important role in the creation, dissemination, and archiving of this vital information. Other specialized collections and services, such as the materials of The National Association of Farm Broadcasters (NAFB) and the Agriculture Network Information Center (AgNIC) will also be discussed.     

Readability Evaluations of Veterinary Client Handouts and Implications for Patient Care

Health literacy and readability are important considerations for veterinary medicine, as veterinarians commonly distribute brochures, leaflets and info-graphics to explain health related issues to pet owners. Educational materials that are poorly comprehended by the intended audience could result in negative, unintended consequences. Thus, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the American Medical Association (AMA) have recommended readability levels for text on health information be targeted between the fourth and sixth grade levels to accommodate a highly diverse public. In the context of veterinary medicine, an increased awareness among veterinary professionals and educators regarding readability scores and the tools available to generate “easy-to-read” text would likely benefit client adherence with veterinary recommendations, client satisfaction with their veterinarian, and ultimately, pet health.Therefore, the goal of this study was to evaluate the readability levels of a sample of popular client handout materials prepared expressly for veterinarians to download and distribute to their pet-owning clients. Results indicate that 9 of 10 client brochures were written above the recommended sixth grade reading level. Recommendations for improving readability are provided.     

The Role of Electronic Information in Extension

This address details the findings of the Future Application of Communication Technology (FACT) Committee established by the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) and the Extension Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It defines the role of electronic information in the Cooperative Extension System of the Future, including current challenges, required infrastructure and organizational changes, establishing standards, and working in partnership with all parts of the science and education community, including libraries.     

阴山北麓干旱半干旱区地表土壤风蚀测试与分析

为定量评价阴山北麓干旱半干旱区不同地表土壤的抗风蚀效果，采用野外风洞原位测试方法进行试验研究。结果表明：风速一定时，退化草地、传统耕作农田的风蚀模数明显高于相应的无退化草地和保护性耕作农田；无退化草地和保护性耕作农田的风蚀模数曲线随风速变化平缓且不存在转变临界点。风速为18m／s时，无退化草地、保护性耕作农田的抗风蚀效率分别可达85．1％和90．8％，对8级大风具有较好的抗风蚀效果。     

信息通信技术能否促进农村产业结构升级——来自北京市第三次全国农业普查的证据

信息通信技术(ICT)作为获取信息、分享和利用资源的重要媒介,为农村经济发展和现代乡村产业体系的构建带来了新机遇。基于最新一次全国农业普查北京市调查的村级数据,采用内生扩展回归模型、广义倾向得分匹配和工具分位数回归等方法,分析ICT对农村产业结构升级的影响,探讨ICT对农村产业结构水平的作用路径。结果表明,在2851个样本村中使用ICT的农户比例在50%及以上的村共有1503个,占总样本村的52.72%,平均产业结构水平为6.53,ICT使用比例较高的村的产业结构水平也较高。在未达到现有资源禀赋约束下的最优产业结构水平时,ICT能够显著促进农村产业结构升级,在超过这一水平后,ICT对农村产业结构水平不再具有正向作用,二者之间呈较为稳定的“倒U型”关系。ICT对产业结构水平位于中间和中间偏上的农村地区,有明显的“扶优做强”特性。据此,建议加紧完善农村网络基础设施,引导支持农村居民借助ICT发展农村电子商务等新产业,开拓农村产业的新发展模式,利用ICT激活乡村产业发展所需各类要素资源,同时瞄准不同等级产业结构水平的地区,制定更有针对性的具体措施。     

基于J2ME和J2EE的粮食加工企业产品销售系统构建

阐述了J2ME的3层体系结构和J2EE的模型—视图—控制体系结构,介绍了以智能手机为客户端的基于J2ME和J2EE的粮食加工企业产品销售系统的总体设计及其实现。
