Population structuring in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar): evidence of genetic influence on the timing of smolt migration in sub-catchment stocks

Abstract –  We compared timing of smolt migration for two populations of naturally spawned Atlantic salmon, Salmo salar , originating from an upper catchment (River Tummel) and a lower catchment (River Almond) tributary of the River Tay, Scotland. Smolts from the upper tributary began migration earlier than those from the lower tributary. On both occasions when fry derived from River Isla (lower tributary) stock were transferred to a location in the upper catchment, smolt migration was later than for native fish. Similarly, when fry from Tummel and Isla stocks were stocked in a common, upper catchment location, Isla origin fish migrated at a later date, in both of the two following smolt years. These differences are indicative of a genetic basis for the timing of smolt migration and suggestive of local adaptation. Mounting evidence points towards local genetic adaptation for the timing of expression of behaviours associated with migration. These aspects of variation should be accommodated in management theory and practices.     

校园基地土壤理化性质及其改良对策

试验测定了校园基地土壤耕层的一般理化性状,得出如下结论:①花卉基地、菜地土壤结构较好,富含有机质、水解性氮、速效磷,这是多年培肥改土的结果。②蓍草园、桃园土壤有机质含量不高,缺少速效钾。经改良可进一步利用。③学生宿舍院内荒地理化性状均差,目前不宜直接利用。同时提出了相应的土壤改良措施。     

Acid–base balance in sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax L.) in relation to water oxygen concentration

The influence of water oxygen concentration on the acid–base balance of sea bass was evaluated. Fish weighing 200–250 g were cultured under different dissolved oxygen concentrations of 64%, 97%, 150% and 250% saturation (92.7, 140.5, 217.5 and 362.7 mmHg respectively) under mild hypoxia, normoxia, mild hyperoxia and high hyperoxia conditions. The results showed that high hyperoxia and mild hypoxia conditions modified some blood parameters significantly when compared with fish held under the normoxia condition, while no differences were shown with respect to the acid–base balance of fish cultured under normoxia and mild hyperoxia conditions. This testifies that the mild hyperoxia condition does not produce physiological disturbances in the acid–base status of sea bass and it could be considered a favourable condition in sea bass land‐based farming, mainly in comparison with the mild hypoxia condition, responsible for other physiological problems.

村民自主管理自然资源的成功模式--GEF/UNDP资助的云南省YUEP项目案例分析

中国现行管理森林、自然保护区与生物多样性等自然资源的模式，是政府机关的单一管理。近10多年来，国际社会在援华农村发展项目中，引进与推广当地社区村民参与政府机关管理之中的模式，比政府机关的单一管理前进了一步。本依据作的亲自实践，论证了以村民为主体、县乡政府机关参与其中的社区共管模式，有效地克服了现行单一政府机关保护自然资源体制的缺陷，是农村基层民主的较好实现形式。     

基于UNDP项目的天保工程执行效果初步研究--以陕西省宝鸡市马头滩林业局为例

在对陕西省宝鸡市马头滩林业局UNDP支持“中国天然林保护工程能力建设和政策研究”项目执行情况调查的基础上,分析了天保工程实施对当地林业局带来的产业结构调整和对职工收入的影响,同时分析了UNDP项目对促进当地能力建设的作用与效果,总结了一些成功的经验,指出执行过程中存在的问题,提出了一系列对策与措施。     

北京市红小豆标准化生产基地建设的思考

小豆是我国传统出口农产品 ,从近 10年日本进口不同国别的小豆数量和我国小豆生产形势显示 ,我国小豆生产将面临严峻挑战。国外商家、消费者以及生产者都急切希望小豆生产标准化。北京农学院和北京凯达恒业农业技术开发有限公司合作 ,走出了一条新路。以龙头企业带动 ,产学研相结合、产供销一条龙服务 ,与种植农户实行订单 ,在北京地区初步建成了具有一定规模的小豆标准化生产基地。实践表明 ,制定切实可行的绿色食品小豆标准化生产基地发展策略、采取全面落实标准化生产的具体措施 ,对能否建好基地起到决定性作用     

陕晋蒙三角区自然环境面临的主要灾害及对策

陕晋蒙三角区是我国未来的一个新经济区,在全国具有重要的地位。本文从该区的特点出发,论述了自然环境的主要灾害,进而提出了减灾的相应措施与建议。随着能源基地经济建设的飞跃发展,必须坚持开发与治理同步进行;提高植被覆盖率;防止水土流失;实现综合;强化环保监督。只有这样,才能实现林茂粮丰和经济腾飞的目的。

本文调查研究了沙地植被自然恢复过程，并结合地植物的自然分布规律及其生长的特点，提出了沙地植被恢复中自然斑的重要作用。
