Acupuncture for general veterinary practice.

Since the International Society of Veterinary Acupuncture (IVAS) was founded in 1974, acupuncture (AP) has received greater acceptance by veterinary professionals throughout the world. This article introduces some important animal diseases that respond well to AP therapy. These include resuscitation of small animals, treatment of anoestrous gilts and sows, bovine reproductive disease, canine vertebral problems and equine backpain, etc. Conventional medicine considers these to be difficult cases to treat. Veterinarians have become more aware of the benefits of AP especially for those diseases, thanks to the efforts of experienced practitioners and scientists, and the many published reports on veterinary AP that have introduced some good indications for AP therapy in veterinary practice. Possible mechanisms behind the effectiveness of AP are discussed. This article aims to introduce veterinarians to good indications for AP to initiate their interest in the practice of AP. Although this is a rapidly expanding field, a long march must begin with one step. We wish this article to be the shoes for such a march. For more information on veterinary AP, contact IVAS , P.O. Seroprevalence of porcine and human influenza A virus antibodies in pigs between 1986 and 1988 in Hassia

1,268 sera collected from slaughtered pigs in Hassia (FRG) from 1986 to 1988 were tested for antibodies against porcine and human influenza A virus strains using the single radial haemolysis test (SRHT). Antibodies against the porcine strains (subtype H1N1) A/Swine/Arnsberg/1/81, A/Swine/Iowa/15/30 and A/New Jersey/7/76 were detected in 411 (32.4%), 318 (25.1%) and 304 (24.0%) of sera, respectively. Up to 1988 a slight increase (10%) in the seroprevalence to A/Swine/Arnsberg/1/81 was noticed, whereas the results obtained with the other strains showed little variation. Antibodies against the human H1N1 strain A/Singapore/6/86 were only found in sera collected 1987 and 1988 in rates of 1.6% and 3.0%. Serological indication of infections with the human H3N2 strains A/Victoria/1/75, A/Hong Kong/1/68 and A/Philippines/2/82 could be shown in 286 (22.6%), 178 (14.4%) and 135 (10.6%) of the serum samples. Within the three year period the rate of sera positive for antibodies against A/Philippines/2/82 increased from 6.5% to 23.0%, whereas no variation in the rates were found using the other H3N2 strains. Antibodies simultaneously against porcine (H1N1) and human (H3N2) virus strains were detected in 9.9% of all sera tested.

通过对二部规范的对比，阐明“地基基础”与“桩基”相比在桩基础设计中作了较大的调整，这样既节省了工程造价又提高了桩基础设计质量。     

嫁接西瓜肥料试验初报

试验结果表明,在土壤有机质含量高达4.07%的单栋钢管大棚中,进行嫁接西瓜栽培时,与常规施肥量相比,在4个减肥处理中,以减量20%的处理增产优质效果最佳。     

百合组培中鳞片处理及其颜色变化与鳞茎形成的关系

 研究了百合鳞片发育程度、切割段数、形态及生理变化、培养基的P 和K含量与鳞茎形成的关系。结果表明: 取中层鳞片、每片横切6 段的繁殖系数最高, 基部鳞片结鳞茎数最多, 且鳞茎发生最早。鳞片由基部向顶部繁殖系数递减。培养过程中鳞片颜色和形态变化依次为乳白色、浅黄、浅紫色、绿紫、鳞片干枯、鳞茎增大, 鳞片由浅黄变为绿紫色过程中叶绿素含量增加, 淀粉和可溶性糖含量下降。适当增加培养基中P、K的含量可提高鳞茎形成的数量和质量。

A mutation confers Monochoria vaginalis resistance to sulfonylureas that target acetolactate synthase

Acetolactate synthase (ALS) is the target enzyme for four distinct families of compounds: sulfonylureas (SUs), imidazolinones, triazolopyrimidine sulfonanilides, and pyrimidinyl oxybenzoates. We cloned and sequenced the fragments encoding ALS genes from biotypes of Monochoria vaginalis susceptible (S) and resistant (R) to SU-herbicides. The nucleotide sequences of the 39 bp Domain A region for R M. vaginalis biotype differed from that of the S biotype by a single nucleotide substitution at variable Pro codon of Domain A (CCT to TCT), predicting a Pro in the S but a Ser in the R biotype. No nucleotide differences between S and R M. vaginalis were observed in Domain D. We suggest that the amino acid substitution at Domain A region is responsible for resistance to SU-herbicides in M. vaginalis collected from Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.

在"互联网+"大潮改造着各行各业的背景下,新时期的草业企业经营管理模式正发生着深刻的变化。基于此,以草业电商的实例——草都易牧连锁超市为例,分析其经营管理模式,并运用成本效益分析法从理论上探讨其经济可行性。结果表明,草都易牧连锁超市的经营管理模式为"互联网+草业"模式。该模式能将牧区饲草料的需求和供给对接起来,增加参与其中的线上牧户与入驻企业的利润,实现二者的共赢,在理论上具有经济可行性。草都易牧连锁超市的大胆尝试是草业企业在当前经济社会环境下一种重要的"互联网+草业"创新模式。通过对"互联网+"在草业中具体应用的深入探讨,认为草业企业的"互联网+草业"模式多主体分析、实证分析以及草产业链尺度分析或将成为"互联网+草业"未来的3个重点研究方向。
