Composition of humic acids (HA) is a function of plant-derived inputs, degradation processes regulated by microorganisms, organo-mineral interactions and age. Characterization of different origin humic substances is important for evaluation of their contribution to stabile and labile carbon pool in the environment. The relative abundance of chemical components in HA isolated from soils, compost, commercial lignohumates, alginite, acadiane and lignite was studied with aim to quantify content of important biomarkers such as amino acid, lipids and polyphenols. HA were considered as a heterogeneous complex and high concentration of peptides, polyphenols and lipids was determined in acadian-HA to compare with soil-HA. Compost-HA contained much more amino acids to compare with soil-HA samples. Alginite-HA and lignite-HA were similar in biomarkers content to soil-HA. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy confirmed that chemical composition and functional groups content differs with the origin, humification degree and the age of studied samples. Soil-HA are typically composed of a variety of ?OH, COOH?, C–O, C–H2, (aliphatic and aromatic) groups, quinines, lignin fragments, polysaccharide, monosaccharide and proteins fragments, which are linked together by ?O?, ?NH?, ?H=, >C=O, metal ions and –S? groups. 13C NMR spectroscopy showed that aromatic carbon content was the highest in lignite-HA and soil-HA. 相似文献

The effects of nitrogen (N‐) and phosphorus (P‐) deficiency, isolatedly or in combination, on growth, nitrogenous fraction, and inorganic phosphate in xylem exudade, and photosynthesis of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L. cv. Negrito) were investigated. Plants were grown in nutrient solution adjusted daily to pH 5.5 and aerated continuously. Ten days after emergence mineral deficiency was imposed. Plants were then supplied with high N (7.5 mol m‐3) or low N (0.5 mol m‐3), and also with high P (0.5 mol m‐3) or low P (0.005 mol m‐3). All sampling and measurements were made 28 days after emergence. N‐ or P‐deprivation brought about large decreases in total leaf area by inhibiting the emergence of new leaves and primarily the expansion of the leaves. The specific leaf area did not change under N‐ but decreased under P‐limitation. The decreased shoot to root ratio in all deficiency treatments was a consequence of a lowering mass of above‐ground organs, especially of leaves. The content of chlorophylls declined significantly only under N‐deficiency alone; carotenoids declined under both N‐ and combined N‐ and P‐limitation. No alteration in amino acid concentration in xylem exudate occurred in plants experiencing N‐starvation, while ureides increased by 79%, and nitrate and inorganic phosphate decreased greatly. Under P‐deprivation, amino acids and nitrate in xylem sap dropped by about half; ureides were held relatively constant, and phosphate was severely depressed. Total upward translocation of N through xylem was estimated to be about 16% higher in N‐deficient plants than in plants without mineral limitation, but leaf N levels in the former were lower as compared to control plants. The net carbon (C) assimilation decreased similarly regardless of the imposed deficiency treatment. Such a decrease was mainly determined by non‐stomatal factors. The objective of this study was to establish a nutrient sufficiency range and DRIS standards of Conilon coffee grown in southern Bahia, Brazil for the pre-flowering and grain-filling stages and to perform a nutritional diagnosis of these plants using different methods. The collections were performed in 24 Conilon coffee farm fields to establish the leaf nutritional standards, and 278 samples were collected to the nutritional diagnosis. The nutritional diagnosis was performed by using the sufficiency range criterion and the DRIS method. The nutrient sufficiency range and the DRIS standards must be specific to each phenological stage of the Conilon coffee plants. The leaf concentrations of calcium (Ca), sulfur (S), and boron (B) were higher in the pre-flowering stage; and the leaf concentrations of nitrogen (N), potassium (K), copper (Cu), and zinc (Zn) were higher in the grain-filling stage. 相似文献

The relationship between nitrate reductase activity and ferredoxin levels in lemon tree leaves was studied. The experiments were carried out on leaves from full‐nutrient sufficient trees as the reference, and on leaves from trees with several nutritional stresses, mainly iron chlorosis from trees growing under Fe‐stressed conditions.
Iron deficiency reduced leaf ferredoxin concentration and consequently decreased nitrate reductase activity. Fe(II) infiltration treatments of intact leaves, as well as several incubation assays, permit to deduce the dependence of the enzymatic nitrate reduction of the leaf ferredoxin levels. 相似文献
