Environmental factors influencing sporocarp formation in Typhula ishikariensis were studied under controlled conditions. Sporocarp formation in T. ishikariensis was divided into two stages: stipe elongation from the sclerotium and fertile head development at the tip of the stipe. Factors required for each stage differed. At the stipe elongation stage, low temperature (10°/5°C; day/night) and high humidity were important, but light was not required. In contrast, at the fertile head stage, light and moderate day length (8h/day) were essential. Fertile heads developed at 46µEm–2s–1; and high intensity (137µEm–2s–1) did not suppress development. Moreover, adding unsterilized soil to the sea sand medium accelerated sporocarp formation. These findings imply that the sclerotium of T. ishikariensis recognizes several physical factors for sporocarp formation. Sporocarps of T. ishikariensis developed within 4 weeks after incubation under optimal conditions. The sporocarp produced basidiospores, and differential mating incompatibility was confirmed among monokaryons derived from basidiospores produced under artificial conditions. We examined the relationships between calf productivity, anemia and Theileria orientalis sergenti infection from records of 109 Japanese shorthorn calves during a grazing period and we quantified the relative importance of the T. orientalis sergenti infection‐resistance criteria used. A decrease in average parasitemia (AvePara) and an increase in average packed cell volume (AvePCV) would cause a decrease in the number of drug treatments. An increase in AvePCV would decrease the number of drug treatments more efficiently than a decrease in AvePara. An increase in AvePCV would cause an increase in dairy gain, while a decrease in AvePara would cause a decrease in dairy gain. Therefore, an improvement in the capacity to control anemia development would improve T. orientalis sergenti infection resistance more efficiently than an improvement in the capacity to control parasitemia development. 相似文献

The hydrogen-bonding structure of water-ethanol in whiskey was examined on the basis of (1)H NMR chemical shifts of the OH of water and ethanol. Phenolic acids and aldehydes (gallic, vanillic, and syringic acids; vanillin and syringaldehyde) exhibited their structure-making effects regardless of the presence or absence of 0.1 or 0.2 mol dm(-3) acetic acid. The OH-proton chemical shifts were measured for 32 malt whiskey samples of a distillery, aged for 0-23 years in five different types of casks. The OH-proton chemical shift values of the whiskies shifted toward the lower field in proportion to their contents of total phenols. It can be concluded that the strength of the hydrogen bonding in aged whiskies is directly predominated by acidic and phenolic components gained in oak wood casks and not dependent on just the aging time. 相似文献

We report on the experimental quantum teleportation of strongly nonclassical wave packets of light. To perform this full quantum operation while preserving and retrieving the fragile nonclassicality of the input state, we have developed a broadband, zero-dispersion teleportation apparatus that works in conjunction with time-resolved state preparation equipment. Our approach brings within experimental reach a whole new set of hybrid protocols involving discrete- and continuous-variable techniques in quantum information processing for optical sciences. 相似文献

The quantitative trait loci(QTLs)for cold tolerance relative characters were identified with microsatellite markers.Ten QTLs located on chromosome1,3,4,5,6,8,9,11(two)and 12were detected for seedling height at different low temperature.Only 2 of these were detected at the same locus at four environments.1 was significant at three environments.6 were significant at two environments and 1 was significant at one environment.Seven QTLs located on chromosome 1(two),2(two),5,6,8were found for ow temperature chlorosis resistance and five QTLs located on chromosome 3,4,7,8,11resistant to chilling injury.The amount of variation explained by indivdual QTL ranged from 4.85%to 49.34%,There was no linkage relationship among the three characters.which indicates seediling cold tolerance is a complex character and is controlled by different QTLs. 相似文献

Very-long-period (VLP) signals showing simple decaying harmonic oscillations with periods near 10 seconds and lasting for about 300 seconds were observed in association with an earthquake swarm that occurred beneath Hachijo Island, Japan. Results from the source-mechanism analysis and waveform simulation based on a fluid-filled crack model consistently point to the resonance of a dike filled with a basaltic magma as the source of the VLP signals. Geographic variation in some aspects of chimpanzee behavior has been interpreted as evidence for culture. Here we document similar geographic variation in orangutan behaviors. Moreover, as expected under a cultural interpretation, we find a correlation between geographic distance and cultural difference, a correlation between the abundance of opportunities for social learning and the size of the local cultural repertoire, and no effect of habitat on the content of culture. To examine the relationship between the spore-breaking capability of collembolans and their localization within fungal sporocarps we investigated the proportion of broken spores in the feces of four collembolan species of the genus Hypogastrura using the spores of Hypsizygus marmoreus and analyzed the spatial distribution of the collembolan species within sporocarps as an index of their feeding habits. The collembolan species with a higher capability to break spores were observed more frequently from the spore-bearing surfaces of sporocarps. The collembolan species with a lower capability to break spores were found more frequently from the non-spore-bearing interiors of the sporocarps. These results suggest that the relative value of spores in the diet varied with the capability of collembolans to break spores. 相似文献

Hop aroma components, which mainly comprise terpenoids, contribute to the character of beers. However, pretreatments are necessary before analyzing these components because of their trace levels and complicated matrixes. Here, the stir bar-sorptive extraction (SBSE) method was used to detect and quantify many terpenoids simultaneously from small samples. This simple technique showed low coefficients of variation, high accuracy, and low detection limits. An investigation of the behavior of terpenoids identified two distinct patterns of decreasing concentration during wort boiling. The first, which was seen in myrcene and linalool, involved a rapid decrease that was best fitted by a quadratic curve. The second, which was observed in beta-eudesmol, humulene, humulene epoxide I, beta-farnesene, caryophyllene, and geraniol, involved a gentle linear decrease. Conversely, the concentration of beta-damascenone increased after boiling. As the aroma composition depended on the hop variety, we also examined the relationship between terpenoid content and sensory analysis in beer. 相似文献

Voltammetric determination of acids by means of the electrochemical reduction of quinone was applied to high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with electrochemical detection (ED) for determining organic acids in fruit wines. A two-channel HPLC-ED system was fabricated by use of an ion-exclusion column and an electrochemical detector with a glassy carbon working electrode. Aqueous solution of 0.1 mM HClO(4) and ethanol containing 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone served as a mobile phase and reagent solution, respectively. Determination of acetic, citric, lactic, malic, succinic, and tartaric acids was made by measuring the peak areas of the flow signals due to the reduction current of quinone caused by the eluted acids. The peak area was found to be linearly related to the acid amount ranging from 0.1 to 40 nmol per 20 microL injection. The present method was characterized by reproducibility with the simple and rapid procedure without derivatization of analytes. The method was shown as an effective means for following acid contents in fruit juices during fermentation with wine yeast. 相似文献
