Endogenous hydrogen sulfide regulates oxidant/antioxidant balance in rat with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

AIM: To investigate the role of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) in the protection against oxidative stress in rats with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).METHODS: The rat model of COPD was established by cigarette smoking (CS) combined with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) instillation. Thirty-two healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: control group, CS+LPS group, CS+LPS+NaHS (H₂S donor) group and CS+LPS+PPG (DL-propargylglycine, an inhibitor of cystathionine-γ-lyase) group. After 30 days, the lung functions of the rats were measured, the histological changes of lungs were observed under light microscope and the pathological scores were calculated. The H₂S level in plasma and the protein expression of cystathionine-γ-lyase (CSE) in the lung tissues were measured. The content of malondialdehyde (MDA), the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) were detected to reflect oxidative stress.RESULTS: Compared with control group, the peak expiratory flow (PEF) decreased by 24% and intra-pressure (IP) increased by 66% in CS+LPS group. The pathological scores of the lung tissues also increased. Compared with CS+LPS group, no change in the lung function was observed after given NaHS or PPG, but the pathological scores decreased in CS+ LPS+ NaHS group. Compared with control group, the content of H₂S in plasma was increased by 26% on day 16. Compared with CS+LPS group, the content of H₂S in plasma of CS+LPS+PPG group was decreased by 22% after 30 days. Compared with control group, the protein expression of CSE increased, and no statistical difference among CS+LPS group, CS+ LPS+ NaHS group and CS+LPS+PPG group was observed. Compared with control group, MDA content in the lung tissues was increased by 24% in CS+LPS group, the activity of SOD was increased by 47% and the activity of CAT was increased by 52%. Compared with CS+LPS group, the MDA content in CS+LPS+NaHS group was decreased by 21%, and no statistical difference in the activity of SOD and CAT was observed. The activity of SOD decreased by 33% after given PPG.CONCLUSION: H₂S plays a role as anti-oxidant in the rats with COPD. The CSE/ H₂S pathway may be involved in the development of COPD.     

Numerical Analysis of Acoustic Environment with Finite Element Method

The acoustic environment of highway tunnel is complex and has influences on the driving safety and comfort. In case of emergency, evacuation information is difficult to transfer. Finite element method is used for calculating highway tunnel acoustic modal and attenuation characteristics. The results show that acoustic mode of highway tunnel has symmetry in the horizontal pressure amplitude of symmetry regional is equal and phase is the same or opposite. The higher modal frequency, the greater sound pressure amplitude is, and the effect of tunnel length on modal frequency is smaller. Decay curves of pressure level at each point in the highway tunnel over time are nonlinear. After the source excitation, in 1.5 s, attenuation rate is faster than that of few seconds later and the attenuation time of sound pressure level 30 dB is 5.5 to 7 s.

大黄鱼冰鲜杂鱼饲料中细菌多样性研究

为研究大黄鱼（Larimichthys crocea）冰鲜杂鱼饲料中细菌的多样性,用细菌通用引物构建了细菌16S rRNA基因克隆文库。从文库中随机挑选125个克隆子进行限制性片段长度多态性（ RFLP）分析,得到82个不同的RFLP 带型。对部分代表性克隆子进行测序,得到23条有效序列。序列同源性分析和系统进化分析结果表明,大黄鱼冰鲜杂鱼饲料中细菌主要分为3大类群,其中γ-变形菌纲（γ-Proteobacteria）细菌占据明显地优势地位,约占所分析克隆子数的84.4％;其次是黄杆菌纲（Flavobacteria）细菌,约占10.9％;还有少量的梭杆菌纲（Fusobac-teria）细菌,约占4.7％。γ-变形菌纲细菌中以嗜冷杆菌（Psychrobacter sp.）最多,其次是发光杆菌（Photobacteri-um）。

Effects of Energy,Protein and Amino Acids Levels on the Development of Mammary Gland and the Growth of Fetus in Sows at Late Gestation

Late gestation is an important period for rapid development of the sow's mammary gland and fetus. It is becoming more and more important to provide a suitable nutrient level in late gestation period for improve the reproductive efficiency of sow. Demand of energy, protein and amino acids for mammary gland and fetus in sows at late gestation are different. To provide reasonable nutrition for fetus, at the same time for the needs of mammary gland are still seldom reported. In this paper, the effects of dietary energy, protein and amino acids levels on the development of mammary gland and the growth of fetus were reviewed,the authors propose the requirement of energy, protein amino acid and reasonable proportion in sows at late gestation, in order to give some guidance for pig farmers.

不同贮藏条件鸡蛋的脂类过氧化作用

本文以ＴＢＡ光度法分析了不同贮藏条件下鸡蛋脂类的过氧化作用,并分析了温度、氧对过氧化作用的影响。结果表明,在贮藏条件下,鸡蛋蛋黄中伴有明显的脂类过氧化过程。脂类过氧化物（ＬＰＯ）的水平随贮藏时间的延长而不断增加（Ｐ＜０．０１）,但蛋清中的ＬＰＯ在贮藏过程中没有明显的变化。低温和缺氧可明显抑制鸡蛋脂类的过氧化作用（Ｐ＜０．０１）。
