ABSTRACTThis work aimed at increasing the content of calcium and the quality of fatty acid composition of food mixtures developed with by-products from Nile tilapia fed with flaxseed. Mixes using cassava flour and by-products were submitted to analyses of proximate composition, fatty acids and minerals quantification, and sensory assessment. The lipid and protein fractions were higher for the mix containing 30% addition of fish meal. There was an incorporation effect of essential fatty acids in the mix of flours containing fish fed with flaxseed. Calcium had the highest concentration among minerals. Sensory acceptance range was 55–65% for formulations with fish by-products. 相似文献

Tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus, is among the fish species with high potential for aquaculture in intensive farming, and Brazil is among the largest producers worldwide. Some of the amino acid requirements in practical diets for tilapia are still unknown. Thus, this study determined the dietary arginine requirements for Nile tilapia juveniles based on growth performance, hematological and biochemical responses, and muscle growth. Three hundred Nile tilapia juveniles (2.95 ± 0.79 g) were distributed into 20–500 L fiberglass aquaria and fed five extruded isoproteic (28% crude protein) and isoenergetic (3160 kcal/kg) diets formulated to contain 0.95, 1.10, 1.25, 1.40, and 1.55% arginine. Based on the quadratic regression analysis, the best results in weight gain, feed conversion, protein efficiency ratio, and protein retention were estimated in fish fed diets containing 1.36, 1.34, 1.36, and 1.37% arginine, respectively. The best amino acid body retention values were estimated in fish fed diets containing 1.31–1.37% arginine. Muscle growth occurred mainly by hyperplasia in fish fed 0.95% arginine, whereas reduction in the hyperplasia time and signs of hypertrophy occurred in fish fed 1.10–1.55% arginine diets. It was concluded that a diet with 1.36% of arginine (with 1.53% lysine in diet) meets the requirements of Nile tilapia juveniles. 相似文献

Meat and bone meal (MBM) is an excellent source of amino acids (AAs) for fish but its proximate composition varies according to its origin and processing. Apparent digestibility coefficients (ADC) of dry matter, crude protein, and gross energy, and apparent availability coefficients (AAC) of essential and nonessential AAs (EAA and NEAA, respectively) in MBM containing various levels of crude protein (MBM‐340, 370, 400, 430, and 460 g/kg) were determined for juvenile Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus, 32.7 ± 4.5 g). A reference diet containing 351.9 g/kg crude protein and 4541.1 kcal/kg of gross energy and test diets containing a 70:30 mixture of the reference diet and MBM were used with 5 g/kg Cr2O3 as an external indicator. ADC of dry matter, gross energy, and crude protein in MBM samples were 42.9–76.2%, 71.6–89.1%, and 49.4–86.9%, respectively. MBM‐400, 430, and 460 showed higher dry matter, gross energy, and crude protein ADC than that by MBM‐340 and 370. All AAs in MBM‐460 showed AAC of EAA > 90%, while the value for MBM‐430 was >85%, except arginine (82.1%) and lysine (84.8%). High ADC of energy, crude protein, and AAC in MBM‐430 and 460 indicate good potential as quantitative AA sources. Besides the low AA quality of MBM‐340, 370, and 400, their utilization is limited by low digestible energy and high ash, which should be considered in the production of least‐cost, well‐balanced, and sustainable diets for tilapia. 相似文献

Sequence and phylogenetic analyses of three isolates of canine distemper virus (CDV) isolated from three dogs with a vaccination history were compared with the same analyses of vaccine virus isolated from a vaccine used for dogs. The three dogs showed clinical signs of a recent major type of CD in Japan, including oculonasal discharge and diarrhea, and pathological findings including non-suppurative encephalitis, pneumonia, mild gastroenteritis and lymphoid depletion. Inclusion bodies were in the stomach without inflammation and encephalitis was without clinical signs. One of the highest titers of CDV in different organs of the three dogs was commonly systemic lymphatic organs, including the spleen, lymph nodes and tonsils. New isolates of CDV joined to the clades of the Asia 1 group that is far from the vaccine group. These results surely indicate that wild strains of CDV from dogs with a vaccination history were not reversed vaccine virus, and that the dogs showed characteristics of recent CD in Japan. 相似文献

Ludwigia grandiflora is an amphibious plant that has been designated as a specific alien plant in Japan. Due to the risk of regeneration on land, plants are burned after eradication. Since L. grandiflora is fertile and rich in biomass, this study investigated the use of L. grandiflora as a feed for ruminants. We measured general components, detergent fiber components, and in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) using rumen microbes for three forms (terrestrial form, emergent form, and floating-leaved form) of L. grandiflora. In addition, concentrations of hazardous metallic elements were also measured from the viewpoint of feed safety. Crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, and acid detergent lignin were contained 10.31–14.62, 27.83–42.28, 20.54–36.05, and 6.94–18.90 (%DM), respectively. IVDMD was 50.75%–68.24%. Toxic elements such as Pb, Cd, and Hg were not detected in all forms. These results suggest that L. grandiflora could be partially used as alternative roughage for ruminants. 相似文献

Gilbertella persicaria stem rot is a disease that causes rotting in the stem nodules and fruits of pitaya. Here, we aimed to study the ecology of G. persicaria and its biological control using several Bacillus subtilis strains isolated from the phyllosphere. Sporangiospores of G. persicaria were detected on different parts of the plant, with maximum density (c.239.9 propagules/cm2) found on the petals after flowering, and spore germination was observed to be considerably affected by humidity. Furthermore, the study revealed that an incision wound of at least 2 mm depth was necessary for infection by the pathogen to the stem nodule, and exposure to high temperatures (50°C) accelerated disease incidence, by disrupting resistance to the spread of the pathogen. Additionally, biological control of G. persicaria was effectively achieved by inoculation with B. subtilis strains isolated from pitaya stem nodules. Intriguingly, treatment with antagonistic bacteria reduced stem rot incidence to zero (bacterial suspension: PNB-5, PNB-7, and PNB-93; culture filtrate: PNB-7, PNB-93, and PNB-95), equivalent to that achieved by fungicide application in both prophylactic and simultaneous treatments. Collectively, this is the first study to demonstrate the ecology of G. persicaria and to show the potential applicability of phyllosphere bacterial strains for biological control of G. persicaria in pitaya, which could help develop effective integrated disease management strategies for the control of pitaya stem rot. 相似文献

The unnatural isotope fluorine-18 ((18)F) is used as a positron emitter in molecular imaging. Currently, many potentially useful (18)F-labeled probe molecules are inaccessible for imaging because no fluorination chemistry is available to make them. The 110-minute half-life of (18)F requires rapid syntheses for which [(18)F]fluoride is the preferred source of fluorine because of its practical access and suitable isotope enrichment. However, conventional [(18)F]fluoride chemistry has been limited to nucleophilic fluorination reactions. We report the development of a palladium-based electrophilic fluorination reagent derived from fluoride and its application to the synthesis of aromatic (18)F-labeled molecules via late-stage fluorination. Late-stage fluorination enables the synthesis of conventionally unavailable positron emission tomography (PET) tracers for anticipated applications in pharmaceutical development as well as preclinical and clinical PET imaging. 相似文献
