Testosterone, 3,17-dihydroxy-5-pregnen-20-one, 17,20-dihydroxy-4-pregnen-3-one (17,20P) and 5-pregnane-3,17,20-triol were identified as the major metabolites of [3H] 17-hydroxyprogesterone in ovarian incubations of the European catfish Silurus glanis. 17,20P and the reduced triol were present only in ovaries from fish primed with carp hypophysial homogenate (chh) while testosterone yields were significantly higher in controls than in treated fish. 11-Ketotestosterone, 11-hydroxytestosterone and 17,20-dihydroxy-4-pregnen-3-one (17,20P) were identified as the major metabolites of [3H]17-hydroxyprogesterone in in vitro incubations of testes of a spermiating catfish. There was no significant production of conjugates or other water soluble metabolites by either sex. The stimulation of plasma 17,20P, 17,20P and 11-hydroxytestosterone by chh in primed but not control males suggests that the role of these steroids in spermiation should be further examined. 相似文献

摘要:油菜菌核病是由Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib) de Bary引起的,是世界范围内造成损失最严重的病害之一。该病害主要通过感染了核盘菌子囊孢子的花瓣落在植株茎、叶上来侵染植株。本实验采用添加了两种不同PH指示剂的改良型Steadman’s培养基检测被子囊孢子感染的花瓣,样品采自合肥的两块不同试验田,在油菜花期(3月下旬~4月中旬)每天采摘新鲜花瓣在室温下培养,结果表明整个花期,除1块田1天没有检测出外,其余每天都有被子囊孢子感染的花瓣出现(感染子囊孢子的花瓣接种后培养基变色)。油菜初花期被子囊孢子感染的花瓣较少,而盛花期和终花期被感染的花瓣较多,第一块田被感染的花瓣数在两种培养基上出现的百分率分别为32.0%和40.2%,第二块田分别为27.3%和35.7%。第一块田油菜菌核病的发病率和病指分别为2.7%和1.8,第二块田分别为1.5%和0.4。子囊孢子感染的花瓣数与后期油菜菌核病的发病率呈显著正相关(r=0.829,r0.05=0.811)。研究被感染的花瓣数可以帮助决定最适宜的病害防治时期。 相似文献

Looking for potential quality indicators, which could be used in early selection of breeding materials, the structural features of cell wall arabinoxylans (AX) from outer layers of the grain (pooled shorts and bran fractions) were studied in two ryes with diverse breadmaking quality. The successive alkaline extraction of water-unextractable material with saturated Ba(OH)2, followed by water and 1 and 4 M NaOH, resulted in four purified fractions, Ba, BaH, 1Na, and 4Na, respectively, that became water soluble after their isolation. The AX present in these fractions constituted approximately 43, 12, 14, and 4% of their total amount recovered. Moreover, two xylan-enriched fractions, 1Na.P and 4Na.P (arabinose-to-xylose ratios, Ara/Xyl, of 0.07 and 0.19, respectively), were self-precipitated from both NaOH-extractable fractions. Polysaccharides of these fractions, containing mainly xylose, represented approximately 16 and 1% of AX recovered. In the BaH and 1Na, AX coexisted with beta-glucans, which predominated in the former protein-free fraction. On the contrary, hemicelluloses in the 1Na fraction were associated with protein as well. Further fractionation of the water-soluble materials by ammonium sulfate revealed that the parent AX populations in the Ba, BaH, and 1Na were composed of 3-4 subfractions with different degrees of substitution (Ara/Xyl of approximately 0.4, 0.8, and 1.1), whereas 4Na was almost totally built of highly substituted AX (Ara/Xyl of 1.1). Despite a comparable proportion of un-, mono-, and disubstituted xylopyranosyl residues in the chain of Ba(OH)2-extractable AX isolated from both ryes, the 1H NMR and Fourier transform infrared demonstrated the marked differences in their spectral profiles, suggesting different substitution patterns of these dominating polysaccharides. The high molecular weight population present in the Ba fraction also differentiated well two ryes with opposite breadmaking quality. 相似文献

Squamous cell carcinomas of sparsely haired skin are relatively common tumors in cats, and these tumors likely exhibit a rapid growth rate. Thus, we evaluated response and duration of response in relation to the Ki67 proliferative reactivity in such tumors. Seventeen cats with confirmed squamous cell carcinomas and treated with an accelerated, hypofractionated electron beam radiation protocol were included in the study. For all of them histologic grading, Ki67 reactivity, response, and disease-free interval (DFI) were evaluated. Response to therapy was excellent (94% complete response rate) with a median DFI of 414 days. Only moderate acute and few long-term adverse effects were seen. Cats with tumors with a low Ki67 reactivity had markedly shorter DFIs than cats with tumors with high Ki67 reactivity. We concluded that an accelerated, hypofractionated electron beam radiation therapy protocol is well suited for feline squamous cell carcinomas. Stress susceptibility indexes (SSI) of eight maize and eight triticale genotypes for their ability to cope with soil compaction (SC) combined with drought (D) or waterlogging (W) were estimated through the determination of changes in dry matter of the shoot (S), root (R) and whole plant (S+R) grown at three levels of soil compaction (1.1, 1.3 and 1.6 g cm?3) and exposed to D or W stress for 7 or 14 days. The SSI values showed variation between and within maize and triticale genotypes, and it was possible to divide genotypes into groups of sensitive and resistant ones. The correlation coefficients (r) between stress susceptibility indexes of soil compaction (SCSI) and drought (DSI) or waterlogging (WSI) and between DSI and WSI were statistically significant. This indicates that genotypes resistant to soil compaction (SC) were resistant to drought (D) or waterlogging (W) stresses and that genotypes resistant to D were also resistant to W. Seedlings grown under the stresses showed changes in S to R ratio (S/R). Sensitive genotypes had higher S/R ratio than resistant ones. Decrease of S/R ratio depends on the duration of stresses, and it may be considered an adaptation mechanism to stress. After 7 days of recovery for D and W treatments, we observed only a partial return of growth traits to the level of control plants. 相似文献

The water extractable (WE) arabinoxylans from two rye flours differing in baking quality were studied following sequential extraction with water at 4, 40, and 100 degrees C. Ammonium sulfate fractionation of the resulting WE fractions and subsequent analysis revealed substantial differences in the structure of the isolated materials. Furthermore, it allowed us to identify the factors contributing to arabinoxylan water extractability. Our results provide compelling evidence for the existence of separate polymers in rye WE arabinoxylans with different substitution degrees, ranging from quantitatively dominating, lowly substituted populations (arabinose to xylose ratio, Ara/Xyl approximately 0.5) to comparatively less abundant, highly substituted analogues (Ara/Xyl approximately 1.3). Generally, arabinoxylan water extractability was governed by the relative proportion of lowly and highly branched structures. A gradually increasing proportion of highly substituted populations was observed from cold to hot WE fractions. This was associated with the lower proportion of monosubstituted xylopyranosyl residues in the backbone, the higher proportion of disubstituted xylopyranosyl residues, and the higher level of substitution with feruloyl residues. Notable differences in the ratio of phenolic compounds to arabinose residues were observed between corresponding polymers isolated from rye flours of high and low baking quality, whereas the differences in their molecular weights were much less pronounced. 相似文献
