隐性乳房炎试验(CMT)及防治方案

[目的]为找出陕西地区奶牛隐型乳房炎的临界点。[方法]采用生产上常用的乳房炎诊断方法,通过间接测定乳中体细胞数来诊断乳房炎的发生。[结果]找出体细胞数在47.46万以上时才依次表现出弱阳性、阳性、强阳性的特征。[结论]从而依据以上结果制定出两种方案用于预防和治疗乳房炎的发生。

Health Record Management System in Visual Electroencephalograph

Visual Electroencephalograph (VEEG) is a new type of digital, information electroencephalograph. As an important part of Visual Electroencephalograph, Health Record Management System(HRMS)is integrant to store electroencephalographic data plentifully, show and edit their waveforms, analyze the data on line or off line. By the most popular and steady Relational-Database technology, ADO Application Programming Interface (API) and Visual C++ programming tool, the system has the friendly interactive interface and the functions of adding, updating, deleting, recalling, counting health record information, etc. Integrated with other parts of VEEG, HRMS ameliorates traditional EEG and overcomes some disadvantages of it such as discommodious to record, difficult to read and hard to get useful information. This paper introduces main functions, structure design and components of Health Record Management System.     

Nerve sheath tumours in the dog and cat

Schwannomas were diagnosed in twelve dogs and five cats at Massey University Small Animal Clinic and Hospital over a 15-year period (1977-92). A further two feline cases were reported at the Batchelar Animal Health Laboratory. In six dogs, the tumour involved nerves of the brachial plexus. Clinical signs observed in these dogs were forelimb lameness, muscle wasting and pain on movement of the affected limb or neck. Hindlimb paresis was observed in two dogs. Surgical excision of the brachial plexus tumour was attempted in one dog, leading to an 8-month remission of signs. In one dog, the tumour involved the sacral nerves, and in two dogs the cranial nerves were affected. Three dogs had skin nodules. Seven of the twelve affected dogs were destroyed. In five cats, the tumours developed on the carpus, tarsus or interdigital area of a forelimb or hindlimb as a slowly developing nodular lesion. In the other two cats, the site of the tumour was the flank and the lateral thigh respectively. Surgical excision of the tumour was successful in three cats.     

Organic carbon-14 in the Amazon river system

Coarse and fine suspended particulate organic materials and dissolved humic and fulvic acids transported by the Amazon River all contain bomb-produced carbon-14, indicating relatively rapid turnover of the parent carbon pools. However, the carbon-14 contents of these coexisting carbon forms are measurably different and may reflect varying degrees of retention by soils in the drainage basin.     

Lignin signature of aquatic humic substances

Lignin-derived phenols dominate the cupric oxide oxidation products of dissolved humic substances from river and lake waters. The relative distributions of these phenols suggest the presence of intact, though oxidized, lignin, which is indicative of the locally dominant vascular plant vegetation. Recognizable lignin is present mostly in humic acid as opposed to fulvic acid fractions. This lignin component represents a source-specific and process-dependent tracer that can uniquely characterize dissolved organic matter.
