根据番茄的形态结构特点及其演变规则,应用有限态自动机的数学理论,研究建立了番茄动态发展的随机结构模型。该模型建立在对番茄结构的宏观抽象和生理年龄(PHYAGE)与生长年龄(GA)这两个最重要的基本概念之上,利用“事件驱动”的状态转移机制模拟了番茄生长过程、分枝过程和死亡过程,其中利用了二项随机分布模拟番茄的动态生长,离散的Markov链用于模拟番茄的分枝模式。番茄的有限态自动机模型完成了对主茎上节间长度、果实个数以及叶子结构的随机模拟。并利用试验统计分析获得的参数结果,模拟出番茄在不同生长阶段的3D结构。该动态的番茄结构模型,为与生理生态模型进行接口建立互影响、互反馈的结构-功能模型打下了基础。  相似文献

建立了番茄动态生长的功能模型,从个体和器官的角度,研究生物量在植物体内的生产和分配规律、器官的动态生长规则。模型根据蒸腾作用计算物质的生产;根据节间、叶柄、叶片和果实等器官的汇强和扩展规律对物质进行分配;根据与物质量的动态关系计算各器官的几何尺寸;利用试验数据对模型参数进行估计。通过对参数进行比较和分析得出它们对各器官生长的影响程度和器官本身的扩展规律。并对模型输出与测量数据的拟合程度进行了残差分析,验证了模型的合理性和有效性。  相似文献

About 50% of cancer patients receive radiation therapy. Here we investigated the hypothesis that tumor response to radiation is determined not only by tumor cell phenotype but also by microvascular sensitivity. MCA/129 fibrosarcomas and B16F1 melanomas grown in apoptosis-resistant acid sphingomyelinase (asmase)-deficient or Bax-deficient mice displayed markedly reduced baseline microvascular endothelial apoptosis and grew 200 to 400% faster than tumors on wild-type microvasculature. Thus, endothelial apoptosis is a homeostatic factor regulating angiogenesis-dependent tumor growth. Moreover, these tumors exhibited reduced endothelial apoptosis upon irradiation and, unlike tumors in wild-type mice, they were resistant to single-dose radiation up to 20 grays (Gy). These studies indicate that microvascular damage regulates tumor cell response to radiation at the clinically relevant dose range.  相似文献

Rooibos and honeybush teas significantly (P < 0.05) enhanced the activity of cytosolic glutathione S-transferase alpha. A significant (P < 0.05) to marginal (P < 0.1) increase in the activity of the microsomal UDP-glucuronosyl transferase was obtained with unprocessed rooibos and honeybush teas, respectively. Oxidized glutathione (GSSG) levels were significantly (P < 0.05) reduced in the liver of all tea treated rats while reduced glutathione (GSH) was markedly increased in the liver of the herbal tea treated rats. These changes resulted in a significant (P < 0.05) increase in the GSH/GSSG ratio by the unprocessed, processed rooibos and unprocessed honeybush teas. Green and black teas markedly to significantly decreased the oxygen radical absorbance capacity in liver homogenates, respectively. Modulation of phase II drug metabolizing enzymes and oxidative status in the liver may be important events in the protection against adverse effects related to mutagenesis and oxidative damage.  相似文献

Health Canada has been collecting data on Inuit and First Nations' methylmercury (MeHg) levels for 25 years. A national overview has been completed and more focussed analyses have now been initiated. This paper deals with two interdependent analytical components: 1) a longitudinal overview of the two most extensively sampled communities in Canada: Grassy Narrows and Whitedog, the residents of which were exposed to ‘point source’ mercury pollution in the 1970's; 2) fetal and post-natal exposure to mercury in these two communities including an outline of the First Nation MeHg child development pilot project in the two communities. A retrospective analysis of Grassy Narrows and Whitedog shows a decreasing MeHg trend in both communities. In Grassy Narrows the average individual annual peak methylmercury level in blood has decreased significantly, from 23.80 ppb (range 1.50–322.90) in 1976 to 7.5 ppb (1.7–46.7) in 1995 (r=-0.65, p<0.001). In Whitedog the average peak has also decreased significantly, from 12.87 ppb (1.50–172.00) in 1976 to 6.1 ppb (1.7–33.3) in 1995 (r=-0.59, p<0.005). However, behind these positive trends is the reality of two communities still suffering the effects of disrupted lifestyles and socio-cultural damage. A number of cord blood samples, maternal blood samples, and samples from women of child-bearing age from these communities have been in the “risk” group (according to the 1990 WHO guidelines). We are therefore now assessing the long term effects of fetal exposure in the communities. Standard clinical examinations in the past failed to prove abnormalities attributable to methylmercury but did not include subtle neuropsychological development tests. Many of the fetally exposed children are now in secondary school. Therefore, we have initiated a pilot project to assess long term effects of methylmercury exposure on the neuropsychological development of these children whose fetal exposure we know. The pilot child development project which was initiated in 1995 in Grassy Narrows and Whitedog, with community support, includes four main components: i) a school records review, looking at attendance, marks, and atypical behaviour; ii) teachers' questionnaires, targeting child behaviour; iii) an in-depth neuropsychological test battery focussing on subtle factors, such as memory, attention, executive functions, perceptual functions and sensory / motor development; and iv) hair sampling, providing current MeHg levels to correlate with results from the previous sampling and findings from the first three components. Runoff events were analysed in separated sewer systems in the town of Luxembourg. The relationships between Event Mean Concentrations of different pollutants and runoff patterns were evaluated. In addition, the inter-storm and intra-storm variability of the material transport were determined. Primarily, the variations in pollutant concentrations and loads are determined by the antecedent weather conditions. The presence of illicit sanitary inputs in one of the sewers produced a significant first flush effect as well as higher Event Mean Concentrations for pollutants. Furthermore, near the town of Trier 40 storms were analyzed in a small natural basin mainly influenced by runoff from a separated sewer system. Natural and artificial storm events were investigated in order to estimate the relationship between the pollutant sources in the channel and from the separated sewer system. Just like in the canalization of Luxembourg City the pollutant dynamics during natural storms are strongly influenced by pre-event hydrological conditions. The artificial storms behave differently. Despite little pre-rain, the maximum concentrations of toxic substances are comparatively low. A resuspension of sediment only occurs in the natural channel system, without the introduction of fines from the sewer system.  相似文献

Acral mutilation and analgesia (AMA) is reported in 13 French spaniels in Canada. This newly recognized disorder shares striking similarities in clinical features and biopsy findings to the other acral mutilation syndromes or hereditary sensory neuropathies reported in German short-haired pointer dogs, English pointer dogs and English springer spaniels. Clinical signs are first noted between 3.5 and 12 months of age. Affected dogs lick, bite and severely self-mutilate their distal extremities resulting in ulcers with secondary bacterial infection. Auto-amputation of claws, digits and footpads occurs in severe cases. Single or multiple feet can be affected. Affected dogs walked on their severely mutilated feet without evidence of pain, lameness, or ataxia. The majority of the dogs were euthanized within days to months of diagnosis.  相似文献

Three horses with clinical signs compatible with pleural effusion were examined with diagnostic ultrasound. In one of the three horses, confirmed septic pleural effusion was monitored with ultrasound during a successful treatment regimen. Eficacy of thoracentesis and detection of recurrence of fluid were readily determined. In the second horse, diagnosis of diffuse pleural neoplasia (lymphosarcoma) was made. In the third horse presented for pleural effusion, the effusion was documented and concurrent ascites detected with ultrasound. Carcinomatosis was found at necropsy. Ultrasound examination proved to be a sensitive, noninvasive modality useful in diagnosis and treatment of pleural effusion.  相似文献

An 11-year-old Hanoverian-cross gelding was evaluated because of acute onset of ataxia, recumbency, and fever. At the stable, this and other horses had recently been infested with ticks. Results of analysis of a sample of CSF were within reference limits, but hematologic abnormalities included lymphopenia, thrombocytopenia, mild anemia, and intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies in neutrophils that were consistent with Anaplasma phagocytophilum (previously Ehrlichia equi). Results of serum biochemical analyses were characteristic of infection and included high, unconjugated bilirubin concentration. Other common causes of recumbency in horses, such as equine protozoal myeloencephalitis, infection with eastern or western equine encephalitis viruses and equine herpesvirus-1, West Nile viral encephalitis, trauma, and metabolic disease, were ruled out. The horse responded quickly to i.v. administration of oxytetracycline and recovered fully within 6 days.  相似文献
