影响青海细毛羊早期性状非遗传因素的研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
以年度(YEAR)、场(HERD)、性别(SEX)、母亲年龄(DAGE)作为固定效应,应用方差分析方法,系统分析了2005~2010年间青海细毛羊早期性能记录。结果显示,年度、场对青海细毛羊早期性状均有显著影响,母羊年龄对初生重、断奶重、周岁剪毛前体重有显著影响,性别对初生重,断奶重,周岁剪毛前体重、周岁产毛量、羊毛长度、羊毛细度影响显著;所有性状均随母亲年龄的增加呈上升趋势,研究结果将为优化群体周转结构,建立青海细毛羊早期生产性状遗传评价模型提供科学依据,最终为该品种羊的早期选种奠定基础。  相似文献

Three experiments have been conducted to study the effect of virginiamycin in young grazing-bulls (Experiment 1) and heifers (Experiments 2 and 3). Rotational grazing on permanent grassland was practised and animals were supplemented with 1 kg dried sugarbeet pulp per head daily. Control groups did not receive virginiamycin via the supplement, while it was incorporated at 120, 300 and 200 mg kg−1 for the treatment groups in Experiments 1 to 3 respectively.
Average daily liveweight gain was significantly increased from 0·59 to 0·72 kg in Experiment 1 and from 0·73 to 0·81 kg in Experiment 3, but was not affected in Experiment 2 (0·51 vs 0·55 kg). Virginiamycin also increased liveweight gain per ha by 12, 7 and 13%, respectively, for the three experiments. Grazed area per animal was not enlarged to the same extent as the calculated daily energy allowances, which may suggest an improved digestibility and/or rumen fermentation.  相似文献

Abstract. Within the framework of a fisheries project in north-east Thailand, project MK/FSPC/069 entitled ‘The Fish Seed Production Centre, North East Thailand’, an assessment was carried out of the ecological impact of introducing exotic fish species (common carp, Cyprinus carpio L., Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (L.), and Chinese and Indian carps). For the assessment, the protocol of Kohler & Stanley (1984) was followed, covering feasibility of introduction, acclimatization potential, potential impact, and control potentials. Regarding the (ongoing) use of the proposed exotic species in aquaculture, it was concluded that so far no clear ecological impact has been reported from escapes to open water; the use of the exotic species has shown to be highly beneficial from a 9 socio-economic point of view. Regarding the proposed introduction of the exotic species into public waters (natural lakes and man-made reservoirs), it was concluded that earlier releases of these species in north-east Thailand did not provoke severe ecological impact in terms of deterioration of aquatic ecosystems. Incidental cases of minor ecological impact were reported for common carp and nile tilapia. Indications were obtained for niche competition between Chinese and Indian carps and indigenous carps, while similar niche competition was concluded for bighead carp, Aristichthys nobilis (Richardson), and indigenous pelagic zooplankton feeders. Observing the prolific development of the Nile tilapia in a number of reported cases, it was recommended not to include this species in stocking programmes for public water bodies, until more risk assessments are available.  相似文献

Uterine contractions in 8 nonpregnant and 13 pregnant mares were studied using ultrasonography. A 1-min video tape recording was made of longitudinal real-time images of the uterine body. An overall uterine contractile activity score (0 = no or minimal activity to 4 = maximal activity) was assigned to each video tape segment. There was a day effect (P less than .01) and an interaction (P less than .01) of reproductive status X day. Uterine activity scores were highest on d 14 to d 18 (d 0 = day of ovulation) for nonpregnant mares and on d 10 to d 14 for pregnant mares. Uterine activity scores on d 10, d 12, and d 14 were greater (P less than .02) for pregnant mares (2.5 +/- .3, 3.1 +/- .3, and 3.2 +/- .1, respectively) than for nonpregnant mares (1.2 +/- .3, 1.5 +/- .3, and 2.6 +/- .3). Uterine activity scores for six pregnant and five nonbred jennies were assigned daily from d 0 to d 24. There were main effects of reproductive status and day (P less than .01) and an interaction of status X day (P less than .01). Uterine activity scores for pregnant jennies were highest on d 13 and d 14 and then declined. In the nonbred jennies, scores were highest on d 14 to d 20. As one of the few felids that is predominantly diurnal, cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus) can be exposed to high heat loads in their natural habitat. Little is known about long‐term patterns of body temperature and activity (including hunting) in cheetahs because long‐term concurrent measurements of body temperature and activity have never been reported for cheetahs, or, indeed, for any free‐living felid. We report here body temperature and locomotor activity measured with implanted data loggers over 7 months in 5 free‐living cheetahs in Namibia. Air temperature ranged from a maximum of 39 °C in summer to ?2 °C in winter. Cheetahs had higher (~0.4 °C) maximum 24‐h body temperatures, later acrophase (~1 h), with larger fluctuations in the range of the 24‐h body temperature rhythm (approximately 0.4 °C) during a hot‐dry period than during a cool‐dry period, but maintained homeothermy irrespective of the climatic conditions. As ambient temperatures increased, the cheetahs shifted from a diurnal to a crepuscular activity pattern, with reduced activity between 900 and 1500 hours and increased nocturnal activity. The timing of hunts followed the general pattern of activity; the cheetahs hunted when they were on the move. Cheetahs hunted if an opportunity presented itself; on occasion they hunted in the midday heat or in total darkness (new moon). Biologging revealed insights into cheetah biology that are not accessible by traditional observer‐based techniques.  相似文献

Commercial formulations of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are developed for human use but the extent to which they will pass through equine skin is unknown. Skin was harvested from five Thoroughbred geldings from the thorax, groin and leg (dorsal metacarpal) regions and frozen (-20 degrees C) until required. Two grams of methylsalicylate (MeSa) gel was applied to defrosted full-thickness samples in diffusion cells and the penetration of MeSa and its active metabolite, salicylate (Sa), through skin samples were measured over 24 h. Significantly higher (P < or = 0.02) total salicylate (AUC; MeSa + Sa) penetrated through skin from the leg region (5491.3 h mg/L), compared to thorax (3710.7 h mg/L) and groin (3571.5 h mg/L). In addition, there was a significantly higher (P0.01) rate of penetration of total Sa through leg skin in the first 6h after application. It was concluded that the commercial formulation of MeSa would achieve therapeutic levels of total salicylate beneath sites of topical application, with a faster and more pronounced response through the leg region, compared to the upper body.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To describe a modified ventral stabilization technique for surgical management of atlantoaxial subluxation in dogs and to evaluate the outcome. STUDY DESIGN: Retrospective clinical study. SAMPLE POPULATION: Nineteen client-owned dogs. METHODS: Medical records of 19 dogs with a radiographic diagnosis of atlantoaxial subluxation surgically managed by a modified ventral fixation technique (cortical screws, Kirschner wires, polymethylmethacrylate) were reviewed. Data on pre- and post-operative neurologic status, surgical technique, and complications were retrieved. Follow-up evaluation was performed at approximately 1 month. Telephone interview of the owner was used for long-term assessment (median follow-up for 17 surviving dogs was 10.5 months). RESULTS: Adequate reduction and stabilization was achieved in all dogs based on radiographic assessment immediately after surgery. Improved neurologic outcome occurred in 16 dogs at 1 month and in 15 dogs at follow-up; 2 dogs died of post-operative complications within 24 hours of surgery. One dog was euthanatized at the owners' request because of recurrent neck pain associated with implant failure after 1 month. Two dogs required surgery to remove broken and migrated implants, but further stabilization was not necessary. CONCLUSIONS: Adequate stabilization and improved neurologic outcome was achieved in most dogs. However, on account of the small size of the study and the variable neurologic signs of the dogs on admission, the surgical technique described could not be compared to those previously reported. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: The surgical technique described is an effective means of surgical treatment for atlantoaxial subluxation.  相似文献
