The objective of this research was to develop a low-cost attitude sensor for agricultural vehicles. The attitude sensor was composed of three vibratory gyroscopes and two inclinometers. A sensor fusion algorithm was developed to estimate tilt angles (roll and pitch) by least-squares method. In the algorithm, the drift error of the gyroscopes was estimated using the inclinometers. In addition to tilt angles, the attitude sensor also estimated the absolute heading angle and position with inclination error correction by integrating a GPS. Tests were conducted on a flat field, a sloping ground and a bumpy road. Results showed that the attitude sensor was able to estimate the roll angle with the maximum root mean square error of 0.43°, the pitch angle with 0.61° and the heading angle with 0.64°. Moreover, the attitude sensor dramatically improved the positioning accuracy from 25.9 cm to 3.0 cm in the sloping ground test and from 8.4 cm to 3.7 cm in the bumpy road test. The proposed technology used in the attitude sensor will help to develop advanced agricultural applications. 相似文献

As the comparative study was carried out on the susceptibility by the pursuit of parasitemia among the Djungarian, Syrian, and Chinese hamsters as well as BALB/c mice infected with the Syrian hamster-adapted Babesia microti strain, and Djungarian hamsters showed the highest parasitemia among them. Then, the other hematological parameters were pursued in the Djungarian hamsters infected with the hamster-adapted B. microti strain. Remarkable symptoms observed were hemoglobinuria clinically, anemia hematologically, and splenomegaly macroscopically during all over the observation period for 24 weeks post infection (PI). Parasitemia began to rise at 2 weeks and peaked at 4 weeks PI. After that, parasitemia decreased gradually but was maintained with a level of about 10% on average until 24 weeks PI at the end of the experiment. A decrease in the RBC count, Hb, and PCV, and an increase in the reticulocyte and WBC counts due to the development of immature neutrophils, lymphocytes and monocytes were recognized together with a rise of parasitemia. The hamsters had macrocytic hypochromic anemia due to the increase of MCV and the decrease of MCHC in the growth phase of the parasite. It was considered that the Djungarian hamsters will be useful for the infection examination, isolation, maintenance, and passage of B. microti in laboratory. 相似文献

Genetic structure and relationships of 16 Asian and European cattle populations using DigiTag2 assay

In this study, we genotyped 117 autosomal single nucleotide polymorphisms using a DigiTag2 assay to assess the genetic diversity, structure and relationships of 16 Eurasian cattle populations, including nine cattle breeds and seven native cattle. Phylogenetic and principal component analyses showed that Bos taurus and Bos indicus populations were clearly distinguished, whereas Japanese Shorthorn and Japanese Polled clustered with European populations. Furthermore, STRUCTURE analysis demonstrated the distinct separation between Bos taurus and Bos indicus (K=2), and between European and Asian populations (K=3). In addition, Japanese Holstein exhibited an admixture pattern with Asian and European cattle (K=3‐5). Mongolian (K=13‐16) and Japanese Black (K=14‐16) populations exhibited admixture patterns with different ancestries. Bos indicus populations exhibited a uniform genetic structure at K=2‐11, thereby suggesting that there are close genetic relationships among Bos indicus populations. However, the Bhutan and Bangladesh populations formed a cluster distinct from the other Bos indicus populations at K=12‐16. In conclusion, our study could sufficiently explain the genetic construction of Asian cattle populations, including: (i) the close genetic relationships among Bos indicus populations; (ii) the genetic influences of European breeds on Japanese breeds; (iii) the genetic admixture in Japanese Holstein, Mongolian and Japanese Black cattle; and (iv) the genetic subpopulations in Southeast Asia. 相似文献

L-Cysteine (L-Cys) is a non-essential and glycogenic amino acid. Previously, we reported that the intracerebroventricular (i.c.v.) injection of L-Cys induced sedative effects under isolation-induced stress in neonatal chicks. L-Cys has an optical isomer, D-Cys. The aim of this study was to clarify the effect of L-Cys and D-Cys during a stressful condition in chicks. The i.c.v. injection of L-Cys and D-Cys (0.84 µmol) decreased both distress vocalization and spontaneous activity induced by isolation. However, the two cysteine isomers induced different behaviors. L-Cys increased sleep-like behavior while D-Cys caused abnormal behavior including syncope as well as sleep-like behavior. In conclusion, while both L-Cys and D-Cys caused a sedative effect when injected i.c.v, D-Cys caused abnormal behavior and may be detrimental to neonatal chicks. 相似文献

Kisspeptin is a key molecule that stimulates gonadotropin secretion via release of
gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). In the present study, our aim was to
investigate whether kisspeptin has stimulatory effects on follicular development via
GnRH/gonadotropin secretion in cows. Japanese Black beef cows were intravenously
injected with full-length bovine kisspeptin [Kp-53 (0.2 or 2 nmol/kg)] or vehicle 5
days after they exhibited standing estrus (Day 0). In cows injected with Kp-53 at 2
nmol/kg, the follicular sizes of the first dominant follicles increased on Day 6 and
thereafter. Ovulation of the first dominant follicle occurred in 1 out of 4 cows
treated with Kp-53 at 2 nmol/kg. Injection of Kp-53 at 2 nmol/kg increased the
concentration of plasma luteinizing hormone (LH) but not follicle-stimulating
hormone, over a 4-h period following injection in all cows. The present study
suggests that administration of full-length kisspeptin causes LH secretion, which is
sustained for a few hours, and it is capable of stimulating follicular development

A 10-year-old castrated male mixed-breed dog exhibited vomiting, lethargy and anorexia.
An abdominal ultrasound examination revealed a focal dilation of the abdominal aorta. The
dog died 2 days after examination, and necropsy revealed a ruptured aneurysm at the
abdominal aorta between the kidneys. Histological examination revealed severe
granulomatous and necrotizing pan-arteritis with fungal organisms.
Graphium species was identified through DNA sequence analysis of the
PCR product from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples. To our knowledge, this is the
first report of aortic aneurysm caused by Graphium species in a dog. 相似文献

Interleukin-18 (IL-18) is a proinflammatory cytokine involved in chronic inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and a variety of cancers, and is expressed in mouse uteri. Our previous study suggested that IL-18 acts as a paracrine factor, regulating endometrial function. To elucidate the physiological roles of IL-18 in the mouse endometrium, the expression of the IL-18 receptor (IL-18R) alpha subunit was analyzed. IL-18Ralpha mRNA was expressed in several mouse organs in addition to the endometrium. In situ hybridization analysis using a biotin-labeled mouse IL-18Ralpha riboprobe demonstrated that IL-18Ralpha mRNA expression was detected in glandular epithelial cells, stromal cells around uterine glands, and myometrial cells in the mouse uterus, suggesting that these cells are targets for IL-18. The uterine IL-18Ralpha mRNA expression level changed with the estrous cycle. The uterine IL-18Ralpha mRNA levels of estrous mice were higher than those of diestrous mice. In addition, the IL-18Ralpha mRNA levels in uteri at 3 and 14 days after ovariectomy were higher than those at diestrus and decreased following treatment with estradiol-17beta or progesterone. These findings suggest that IL-18Ralpha gene expression is regulated by estrogen and progesterone and that the uterine IL-18 system is involved in the regulation of uterine functions in a paracrine manner. 相似文献
