The effect of the non-solvent spinning performance of nanofibers has not yet been clearly explained. To clarify this, nanofiber membranes were prepared using the roller electrospinning technique from polyvinyl butyral (PVB) solutions containing ethanol as a solvent and water as a non-solvent. A Hansen solubility graph was drawn to evaluate the non-solvent and solvent systems. The relationships among the presence of non-solvent additives, the properties of spinning solutions (viscosity, conductivity, and surface tension), current per one Taylor cone, spinning performance of fiber membranes and fiber morphology were studied. The experimental results of this work showed that the non-solvent system had positive effects on fiber diameter and web surface, resulting in a low diameter and bead-free surface, while also decreasing spinning performance.  相似文献

The effects of feeding rates on growth, feed conversion, protein deposition and carcass quality of fingerling Catla catla (3.61 ± 0.03 cm; 0.71 ± 0.04 g) were worked out by conducting a 16‐week feeding trial. Fingerlings were fed with a casein‐gelatin‐based purified diet (40% crude protein CP; 14.95 MJ kg?1 digestible energy; DE) at 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, 6% and 7% body weight per day. The absolute weight gain (AWG; 10.50 g fish?1) and feed conversion ratio (FCR; 1.41) were highest at the feeding rate of 5% body weight per day. However, protein gain (PG; 0.36 g fish?1) and carcass protein content attained the maximum values at 4% BW day?1. Quadratic regression analyses of AWG g fish?1 and PG g fish?1 at 95% maximum response indicated that these parameters attained the best values at 4.19% and 3.81% BW day?1. On the basis of the above results it is recommended that the feeding rate in the range of 3.81–4.19% BW day?1 with a P:E ratio of 26.69–27.74 mg protein MJ?1 DE is optimum for maximum growth, efficient feed conversion and best carcass quality in fingerling C. catla.  相似文献

Floral rot of Egyptian henbane (Hyoscyamus muticus L.) was found on potted plants in a greenhouse in Yamaguchi city, Japan, in the late summer of 2008 and 2009. The symptoms were identical to those of rots caused by Choanephora species. The pathogen was isolated and identified as C. cucurbitarum (Berkeley and Ravenel) Thaxter. This new disease was named Choanephora rot (Kougai-kabi-byo) of Egyptian henbane.  相似文献

Experiments were conducted to assess the effect of gibberellic acid (GA3), a plant growth regulator, on Locusta migratoria migratoria fifth instar larvae. Newly emerged larvae were exposed to various concentrations of GA3 administered by topical application or by forced ingestion. Results showed that treated insects exhibited toxic symptoms with a dose-dependent mortality. GA3 toxicity was also demonstrated by perturbation of the moult processes. In fact, we noted that treated insects present exuviations difficulties due to the impossibility to reject the old integuments causing mortality in the 5th instar larvae. Histological study of proventriculus revealed alterations in the epithelial cells and absence of apolysis phenomenon. Data also showed that GA3 induced significant quantitative variation of haemolymph metabolites. These changes result in a significant decrease in the total concentration of proteins and carbohydrates and an increase in the total concentration of haemolymph lipids.  相似文献

Exopolysaccharide (EPS) from marine microalgae are promising sources of a new generation of drugs. However, lot of them remain to be discovered and tested. In this study, EPS produced by Porphyridium marinum and its oligomers prepared by High Pressure Homogenizer have been tested for different biological activities, i.e., antibacterial, anti-fungal and antibiofilm activities on Candida albicans, as well as for their effects on the viability of murine breast cancer cells. Results have shown that all EPS samples present some biological activity. For antibacterial and antibiofilm activities, the native EPS exhibited a better efficiency with Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) from 62.5 µg/mL to 1000 µg/mL depending on the bacterial strain. For Candida albicans, the biofilm formation was reduced by about 90% by using only a 31.3 µg/mL concentration. Concerning breast cancer cells, lower molar masses fractions appeared to be more efficient, with a reduction of viability of up to 55%. Finally, analyses of polymers composition and viscosity measurements were conducted on all samples, in order to propose hypotheses involving the activities caused by the intrinsic properties of polymers.  相似文献

Migratory locusts represent the most important crop pests in Africa and Asia. Because environmental damages are associated with the use of synthetic insecticides in locust and grasshopper control, new environmentally acceptable approaches are becoming increasingly important. The effects of gibberellic acid (GA3), a plant growth regulator, was investigated by topical application and ingestion on the reproductive physiology and ecdysteroids production of the migratory locust Locusta migratoria at concentrations of 125, 625, 3125, 4125, 5125 and 6125 μg/mL. The treatment applied to adult females during the pre-ovipositional phase provokes a significant adverse influence on their reproductive potential. Indeed, GA3 significantly reduced both fecundity and fertility. Gibberellic acid also caused disturbances in the incorporation of the hemolymph metabolites (proteins, carbohydrates and lipids) in the oocyte resulting in a significant reduction in their concentrations in the ovaries. Ecdysteroid production was measured by an enzymo-immunoassay. GA3, administered by ingestion to the adult females, significantly reduced the ecdysteroid titers in ovaries and freshly laid eggs.  相似文献

Effects of varying protein‐to‐energy (P/E) ratios on growth performance, nutrient retention, body composition, and digestive enzyme activities of Singhi, Heteropneustes fossilis (7.90 ± 0.40 g; 9.40 ± 0.20 cm) were evaluated. Six experimental diets (350Low, 350High, 400Low, 400High, 450Low, and 450High) in a 3 × 2 factorial design were formulated to contain three protein levels (350, 400, and 450 g/kg crude protein) and two energy levels (4.07 and 4.54 kcal/g gross energy [GE]) to provide six different dietary P/E ratios (86.1, 77, 98.3, 88, 110.6, and 99 mg protein/kcal GE). The diets were hand‐fed to triplicate groups of fish for 84 d to apparent satiation at two feeding frequencies. Live weight gain, feed conversion ratio, protein retention efficiency, energy retention efficiency, somatic indices, and digestive enzyme activities were maximized by the groups fed on 400 g/kg protein with 4.07 kcal/g GE in diet 400Low with a P/E ratio of 98.3 mg/kcal energy. The results indicate that 400 g/kg of dietary protein and 4.07 kcal/g of dietary GE with a P/E ratio of 98.3 mg protein/kcal energy is optimum for achieving efficient growth, feed conversion, and nutrient retention in H. fossilis.  相似文献
