Changes in the soil nematode community induced by global warming may have a considerable influence on agro-ecosystem functioning. However, the impacts of predicted warming on nematode community in farmland (e.g., winter wheat field) have not been well documented. Therefore, a field experiment with free air temperature increase (FATI) was conducted to investigate the responses of the soil nematode community to nighttime warming in a winter wheat field of Yangtze Delta Plain, China, during 2007 to 2009. Nighttime warming (NW) by 1.8~C at 5-cm soil depth had no significant impact on the total nematode abundance compared to un-warmed control (CK). However, NW significantly affected the nematode community structure. Warming favored the bacterivores and fungivores, such as Acrobeles, Monhystera, Rhabditis, and Rhabdontolaimus in bacterivores, and Filenchus in fungivores, while the plant-parasites were hindered, such as Helicotylenchus and Psilenchus. Interestingly, the carnivores/ omnivores remained almost unchanged. Hence, the abundances ofbacterivores and fungivores were significantly higher under NW than those under CK. Similarly, the abundances of plant-parasites were significantly lower under NW than under CK. Furthermore, Wasilewska index of the nematode community was significantly higher under NW than those under CK, indicating beneficial effect to the plant in the soil. Our results suggest that nighttime warming may improve soil fertility and decrease soil- borne diseases in winter wheat field through affecting the soil nematode community. It is also indicated that nighttime warming may promote the sustainability of the nematode community by altering genera-specific habitat suitability for soil biota. 相似文献

The antimicrobial activity of infusion, decoction, ethanol extract and fractions obtained by successive extraction of Viola tricolor herb with dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and methanol was evaluated. The infusion, decoction and ethanol extract were found to be most effective against the tested microorganisms. 相似文献

A study on the leaves of Aglaia exima led to the isolation of one new and seven known compounds: six triterpenoids and two steroids. Their structures were elucidated and analyzed mainly by using spectroscopic methods; 1D and 2D NMR, mass spectrometry, UV spectrometry and X-ray. All the triterpenoids and steroids were measured in vitro for their cytotoxic activities against eight cancer cell lines; lung (A549), prostate (DU-145), skin (SK-MEL-5), pancreatic (BxPC-3), liver (Hep G2), colon (HT-29), breast (MCF-7) and (MDA-MB-231). The new cycloartane triterpenoid, 24(E)-cycloart-24-ene-26-ol-3-one 1, showed potent cytotoxic activity against colon (HT-29) cancer cell line (IC50 11.5 μM). 相似文献

We have investigated the process of evolution of target-site-based resistance to herbicides inhibiting acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) in nine French populations of black-grass (Alopecurus myosuroides Huds). To date, two different ACCase resistant alleles are known. One contains an isoleucine-to-leucine substitution at position 1781, the second contains an isoleucine-to-asparagine substitution at position 2041. Using phylogenetic analysis of ACCase sequences, we showed that 1781Leu ACCase alleles evolved from four independent origins in the nine black-grass populations studied, while 2041Asn ACCase alleles evolved from six independent origins. No geographical structure of black-grass populations was revealed. This implies that these populations, although geographically distant, are, or have until recently been, connected by gene flows. Comparison of biological data obtained from herbicide sensitivity bioassay and molecular data showed that distinct resistance mechanisms often exist in a single black-grass population. Accumulation of different resistance mechanisms in a single plant was also demonstrated. We conclude that large-scale evolution of resistance to herbicides in black-grass is a complex phenomenon, resulting from the independent selection of various resistance mechanisms in local black-grass populations undergoing contrasted herbicide and agronomical selection pressures, and connected by gene flows whose parameters remain to be determined. 相似文献

Slipper oyster Crassostrea iredalei is a species of good demand for its sweet flavor and white coloured flesh. The filter feeding nature predisposes oysters
to accumulation of pathogenic and heavy metals in waters impacted by sewage pollutions and may thus render the oysters unfit
for human consumption. A study was undertaken to investigate the presence of bacteria flora and heavy metal concentrations
in cultivated oysters Crassostrea iredalei at Setiu Wetland, Terengganu, the only source of cultivated oysters in East Coast of Malaysia. A total of 200 slipper oyster
samples were analyzed. The bacteria were isolated using non selective agar such as TSA agar and selective agars before they
were then identified using conventional methods in combination with BBL Crystal identification kit. Heavy metals such as zinc
(Zn), copper (Cu), cadmium (Cd), and lead (Pb) concentrations were determined using atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Results
showed that the oysters harbor predominantly Shewanella putrifaciens followed by Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio vulnificus, Vibrio cholerae, Enterobacter cloacae, Escherichia coli and Chromobacterium violaceum. They also contain high concentration of Zn (785.68 ± 285.88 μg/g) with the lowest heavy metal was Pb (0.17 ± 0.15 μg/g),
whilst the concentrations of other heavy metals were Cu (38.9 ± 13.2 μg/g) and Cd (1.60 ± 0.28 μg/g). The study is very useful
to evaluate the type of bacteria and heavy metal present in oyster meat for human consumption. 相似文献

Dominance of a resistance trait can be defined as a measure of the relative position of the phenotype of the heterozygote RS compared with the phenotype of the two corresponding homozygotes, SS and RR. This parameter has been shown to have primary importance in the dynamics of pesticide resistance evolution. Literature on insecticide resistance suggests that dominance levels in the presence of insecticide vary greatly from completely recessive to completely dominant. With insecticides, both the chemical applied and the dosages used have been demonstrated to affect the dominance. By contrast, almost all herbicide resistances have been found to be inherited as partially to totally dominant traits. This discrepancy between weeds and insects may partly result from the methodologies applied to measure the dominance, ie a single dose for herbicide versus several doses for insecticide. Using two well-known resistances (csr1-1 and csr1-2) to acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitors in Arabidopsis thaliana (L) Heynh (mouse-ear cress), we used several herbicide doses to determine the dominance level to six ALS-inhibiting herbicides. The dominance level in the presence of herbicide varied from completely dominant to completely recessive, depending on the resistance allele and the herbicide tested. The dominance of the csr1-1 and csr1-2 resistance alleles ranged from 0 (completely recessive) to 1.1 (dominant) and from 0 to 0.3 (partially dominant), respectively. The recessivity of some resistance alleles in the presence of herbicide could lead to the development of improved resistance management in order to delay or avoid herbicide resistance evolution, especially in the control of outcrossing weed species. 相似文献
