Critical loads of acidity were calculated using the PROFILE model to assess the forest ecosystem sensitivity to acid deposition in the Asian part of Russia — Siberia. The main input parameters and the output were mapped. At present atmospheric inputs of acid forming pollutants to the study territory are mainly related to transregional and transboundary pollution from Europe. It was shown that the most sensitive to acid loading are ecosystems of the Tundra zone and of the East Sayan mountains' coniferous forests with dystric cambisols and gleysoils, critical loads of actual acidity (CL(Ac)) = 0–0.3 keq/ha/yr. The most tolerant ecosystems are ecosystems of deciduous forests with podsoluvisols, luvisols and humic luvisols of South Taiga zone in West Siberia, CL(Ac) = 3.5–7.0 keq/ha/yr. Generally the values of critical loads are increasing from the North to the South and from the East to the West following the bioproductivity, annual soil temperature and alkalinity of deposition increases.  相似文献

Knowledge of hydraulic properties is essential for understanding water movement in soil. However, very few data on these properties are available from the Loess Plateau of China. We determined the hydraulic properties of two silty loam soils on agricultural land at sites in Mizhi and Heyang in the region. Undisturbed soil cores were collected from seven layers to one meter depth to determine saturated hydraulic conductivity, soil water retention curves and unsaturated hydraulic conductivity (by the hot-air method). Additional field methods (internal drainage and Guelph permeameter) were applied at the Heyang site to compare differences between methods. Soil water retention curves were flatter at Mizhi than at Heyang. Water contents at saturation and wilting point (1500 kPa) were higher at Heyang than at Mizhi. However, unsaturated hydraulic conductivity was lower at Heyang than at Mizhi, with maximum differences of more than six orders of magnitude. Nevertheless, the two soils had similar saturated hydraulic conductivities of about 60 cm day− 1. Comparison between the methods showed that soil water retention curves obtained in the laboratory generally agreed well with the field data. Field-saturated conductivities had similar values to those obtained using the soil core method. Unsaturated hydraulic conductivities predicted by the Brooks–Corey model were closer to field data than corresponding values predicted by the van Genuchten model.  相似文献

The dynamic, biogeochemical model SAFE was applied to a roofed subcatchment G1 at Gårdsjön, Sweden. The roof was installed in 1991, and deposition of anthropogenic S and N reduced by ca. 90%. Initiated from pre-industrial steady-state conditions, SAFE predicts present levels of biologically relevant chemical properties (pH, inorganic Al and base cations). SAFE overestimates the short-term effects of the manipulation on runoff pH, while the modeled decline in inorganic Al and and base cations are comparable to observations. Temporal variability and too few years of measured data make model to data comparison difficult. Sulfate desorption, which is not included in SAFE, may introduce a time lag between modeled and measured data. Reductions of S and N inputs by 90% will lead to a recovery in pH, low A1 but extremely low base cations concentrations due to replenishment of exchange sites.  相似文献

Responses from questionnaires sent to 29 established projects are presented on the questions of operations and maintenances of existing canal lining and the choice of linings in future project construction. Cost data yielded some important comparisons. The formation of flower buds in Clerodendrum seems not to be affected by day length, but the development of the buds is delayed in long days. When long days were established by means of low-intensity illumination with incandescent lamps, few flowers developed and the stems elongated considerably even at a day length of 16 hours. When fluorescent lamps were used for day-length extension, short shoots with many flowers were obtained even in 24-hour days. Flower development was also delayed by gibberellic acid (GA3), but promoted by chlormequat both in short and long days. Shoot elongation was retarded by chlormequat and promoted by GA3.Plants obtained from commercial greenhouses varied considerably with respect to growth and flowering. By selection a clone was obtained which flowered richly on short shoots. Shoot elongation stopped when flowering began. A ‘negative’ selection gave rise to a clone which flowered sparsely and in which shoot elongation was not influenced by flowering.  相似文献

The yields of the cooling-active compounds 3-methyl-2-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-2-cyclopenten-1-one (1) and 5-methyl-2-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-2-cyclopenten-1-one (2) as well as the bitter tastants 7-methyl-2,3,6,7-tetrahydrocyclopenta-[b]azepin-8(1H)-one (3) and 7-methyl-2,3,4,5,6,7-hexahydrocyclopenta-[b]azepin-8(1H)-one (4) obtained by heating mixtures of possible Maillard-type precursors in model systems varying in temperature, pH value, or water content were determined quantitatively. The results showed that hexose-derived cyclotene is the common precursor for all four tastants and that the formation of each individual tastant is strongly determined by the structure of the nitrogen-containing precursor, e.g., reaction of cyclotene with pyrrolidine formed by thermal decarboxylation of L-proline produced the cooling compounds 1 and 2 only, whereas in the presence of 1-pyrroline formed upon Strecker reactions of L-proline, the bitter tasting azepinone 3 was produced exclusively. In contrast, the structure of the secondary amino acid L-proline enabled the formation of compound 4, whereas the pyrrolidine and 1-pyrroline, respectively, do not generate this tastant. In addition, a nonvolatile, tasteless intermediate, (S)-3-methyl-2-[(2'-carboxy)-1-pyrrolidinyl]-2-cyclopenten-1-one (5), was isolated from the cyclotene/L-proline reaction mixture and could be confirmed as an efficient precursor for the cooling compound 1. The data, obtained by these studies, are the scientific basis to tailor the desired overall flavor of foods by means of a more controlled Maillard-type technology.  相似文献
